Marius Scipio - “Rome is Order! Rome is Power! And We! ARE! ROME!”

"There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."

Ring Name: Marius Domitian Scipio

Real Name: Mark David Smith
Sex: Male
Age: 23
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Brown
Height: 5'9
Weight:  155 lbs
Nationality: Rome, Italy...by way of Youngstown, Ohio!

Favored moves:

Per Oculus Aquila: A quick running dropkick to a dazed opponent, one of the most savage dropkicks in the game.

Image

Damnatio Ad Bestia: A suffocating scarf hold, using his judo weight-shifting to keep his opponent pinned to the ground he cranks on their head and neck while compressing them with his ribcage.

Image

Carthago Delenda Est: A brutal and massive german suplex, forceful as hell and with authority.

Image

Finishing move/s:

Cry Havoc! It's a superman punch.

Once Were Romans: Marius goes for an Imanari Roll into a heel hook and does his best to absolutely shred his opponent's leg.

Appearance:

A wiry 5'9, 155 pound young scrapper with brown hair and blue eyes. He typically wrestles in white gladiator-style shorts, with Gladiator-style footwrapped sandals, studded handwraps bound tight around his mitts, and a tight headband across his sweaty brow.

Personality and past:
Loud, proud, and more than a little dumb, Mark-er-Marius was a pothead slacker turned mixed-martial-artist. Five wins, 7 losses. Unspectacular, right? Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Mark was a total NEET who's interests consisted of judo, wrestling, brazilian jiu jitsu, smoking weed and drinking beer. His parents generally found him to be a layabout, he worked retail, and seemed to drift from dead-end job to dead-end job. One day, the pothead decided to take a THC-influenced trip to the library, where he found a book that changed his life. That book was The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. To say the book changed his life was an understatement. The "C"-student who previously excelled at nothing dove into Roman Culture like a duck to water, filling his head with tales of emperors and legionaries and gladiators. Following Marcus Aurelius, he stoically trained his mind and body to become a Romaboo wrestling machine. Winning titles in independent federations both mixed martial arts and wrestling, Mark-(now Marius)-has decided to set his sights on the big leagues. LAW: Where the big boys and girls play. Will he plant the Roman Standard high above the Tension ring? Or will he be forced to kneel like Vercingetorix at Caesar's feet? Only time will tell.

Wrestling Information

Strategy and style:
Ringkampf-styled MMA tinged savagery. Strong-styled Pro Wrestling with a tinge of Judo and Catch as Catch Can. The mat is sacred and he treats it as such. Lots of hard stiff strikes, suplexes, and submission attempts. He tries to keep his opponent in the center of the mat and dissect from there.

Preferred Matches: Standard matches, cage matches, Roman Bath Matches, Colliseum Matches, UWF/Bloodsport Shoot-Style Matches.
