Personality
A lot of people describe Tommy as something of an idiot, but in his defense, that’s not wholly accurate. It would be closer to the truth to say that he isn’t dumb, he’s just too lazy to be smart. When pushed to do something and focus, he can be quite effective and driven, showing a surprising capacity to learn and adapt. Somewhere deep inside there’s an intellectual, deep man…he’s just doesn’t bother to let that side of him out.
He takes little seriously and tends not think in the moment, giving little thought to the way things will go after his current step. He acts like a man who’s used to having others clean up his messes, and that’s mostly true - his friends and family often come to his rescue and support him, and while he can often get on thin ice, he somehow never manages to break it.
On top of that, his biggest problem is his love of women. He’s easily distracted by the opposite sex, and fancies himself something of a ladies’ man. While it’s fair to say that he’s had some success in this department, it could be a case of casting a wide net…regardless, it’s a weakness he’s not about to do much about now that he’s in LAW.

He’s always suffered from a bit of ADHD, finding it difficult to focus on anything for any significant amount of time, and that’s led to a life of half-doing a lot of things.
He was trained in wrestling from about fifteen and up, and while he was competent enough at it, he was never motivated enough for the sort of demanding schedule that life demanded. He knew he liked combat sports well enough, so he gave that a shot when he turned eighteen, and that did well for a time, with him having a good record in the boxing ring, but even that eventually fell through, with him missing some important fights due to his love of late night partying.
Seeing that some balance was needed in his life, Tommy’s lifelong friend, Luke, convinced him to join the military. It was here that Tommy had the most success, as he managed to get some discipline in a place where none of his shenanigans would be tolerated. For a time, it seemed like this was the perfect fit for him…
…and then, things went downhill in rapid fashion. Tommy and Luke were stationed in Japan, as part of a joint venture, and one drunken night in Tokyo had the two of them stumble into a small-scale LAW knockoff wrestling league in a club. The two wound up teaming together in a particularly raunchy hentai match, one that even managed to get them some internet fame.
Their superiors, however, were unamused. With the threat of a small-scale international incident looming, the two were discharged soon after, and Luke was furious over the whole affair, as it not only cost him a promising military career, but came dangerously close to ending his marriage. Tommy came up with a solution, however. Knowing his family had some pull on the Japanese scene, he looked to cash in a few favors and get the two of them accepted into LAW as a tag team, figuring that would be a good way to keep income going while they figured out something more permanent.
