Some Questions
So for the last month or so I've been wanting to do a sort of essay series on writing and RPing. A kind of advice column/guideline for people new and old to come to when they feel stuck on something and wanted something to look at to get the juices flowing again, or just learn of one specific writers opinions and methods. But... I'm a little stuck on how to go about that. The long and short of it is that I have two options in the kind of tone I plan on using for that essay series and both have their pros and cons. To try and get a feel for the audience I'd be writing for I have a few questions down below I wanted people to answer.
I'll be answering these questions as well just to give you an idea of my opinion on things along with a more detail explanation of what I mean by certain questions, but since the series will be about 4-9 paragraphs per essay I'll try and keep my points to one paragraph here at most. Anyway, onto the questions.
| How do you feel about formatting?
Basically, the method of prettying up a profile page or adding extra flare to how one presents their roster.
On my end, I do think good/attractive formatting is necessary evil. Even simpler forms of formatting show you care about presentation to an extent and in general an attractive profile attracts eyes.
| How do you handle heels and faces?
LAW being a world where wrestling is 'real' makes it a little harder to determine clear good guys from bad guys, to an extent at least.
For me, it depends on how the general audience would view the character and how much they like the gimmick. From what I've seen of Joshi wrestling heels don't really exist, there's only very aggressive and arrogant wrestlers with a cool gimmick that other wrestlers don't like. Not so much a bad guy, but a disliked person within the company... at least when the camera's on.
| How much detail do you put in your profile?
To be clear, Winner has a bare-bones template of all information that is likely required for all profiles here. But with that said, how much extra detail to you guys tend to add outside of those requirements? How long are the bio sections? The personality section? Additional points like adding likes, dislikes, and trivia? Things like that.
I personally like to keep things to about 2-ish paragraphs in terms of the bio and keep the personality section somewhat general so I have some wiggle room to expand and grow the character organically. As far as extra stuff, I like adding a likes/dislike section to help give an idea of the characters hobbies and vices, the trivia section is just fun stuff to add that might be interesting.
| How many (active) characters do you have?
I think this one is self-explanatory, but just to keep with the pattern, how many characters do you actively use at a time?
I'm trying to limit myself to about four-ish active characters, but that's likely to change at some point depending on what's going on and what ideas some people might have for my character.
| How do you set up matches?
Again, self-explanatory, but I feel like it's worth asking. Do you PM people? Go to discord?
Nowadays I usually just shoot a private message with a person I'm interested in a match and hit them up on discord afterwards for further details of the match.
| How much do you plan out?
Just in general how much planning happens when a match is agreed upon? Do you just plan out a winner and move on? Do you completely freeform it? Do you plan out the main beats and expand from there?
For myself, more recently there's been a lot more planning and working through the major beats of a match. Granted, most of those threads are somewhat story-driven and the more specific planning is for character development reasons, but I've been trying to have more discussion with my partners lately.
| How much communication happens throughout the match?
Again, self-explanatory. Is there a discussion between writers as the match goes on? Do you offer ideas or plans?
This is something I'm personally bad at, both due to my reserved personality and general bitterness throughout the years of... existing, but I'd like to think I'm slowly getting better at. At least with some of these more story driven matches there's a lot of talking between me and my partners.
| How much do you write in your replies/threads?
I don't need an exact word count, but what's the usual length of your replies?
I try to match my partners length, but on average I'm going for about 1-2 paragraphs per post after the intro stuff is done and the combat starts. Though this can change depending on the situation.
| Favorite characters to use?
Just gonna' have these last questions be fun ones because I'm expecting some pretty heavy answers for the above stuff.
Anyway, I'd say my favorites within my own roster are Amano and Kuro. Amano is just a good mix of gremlin and naturally normal girl that I can be a lot looser with her writing than other characters. Kuro... is a cartoon villain, and I like writing out her cutesy idol act while tempering with the more sadistic and mature internal thoughts she has.
| Favorite character that isn't yours?
Because we can't just jack off about our characters alone.
I mostly stick to the lightweight sphere since all my characters are in it, but it's a close tie between Rose Gold and GASTER. Rose is just an entertaining read no matter the match she's in and GASTER is adorable with her evil overlord shtick while still keeping to her morals.
Anyway, that's all I've got. Looking forward to those answers.

Re: Some Questions
How do you feel about formatting?
I like to keep things clean, I'm new, and not so great at it yet, but I like to work on it!
How do you handle heels and faces?
I just like to view it like I would real people, it's more of a categorization than a strict thing to follow! I'd be much more likely to have a rivalry against some faces here than some of the heels! It's all about the individual character!
How much detail do you put in your profile?
I don't think mine is too descriptive, but I think it gives enough info, and I think it looks nice. lol!
How many (active) characters do you have?
Just one! :3
How do you set up matches?
I do whatever the person I'm setting it up with wants, I have no preference on how to set it up, I just like a little rough idea of how the match is going to go and what moments, if there are any, that we should highlight!
How much do you plan out?
However much is necessary, it depends match to match!
How much communication happens throughout the match?
I haven't had any yet, but that's a good idea, if there is an idea someone has, I think it would be good to talk about it!
How much do you write in your replies/threads?
I'd like to do more, I like to give the person I'm roleplaying with a bit more to go off of!
Favorite character that isn't yours?
So many to choose from, there are lots of really really great characters on here, so it's impossible for me to pick one, I really like a lot of CaptainL's characters, also Rose Gold, ADarlingDucky has really fun ones too! :3

Re: Some Questions
How do you feel about formatting?
Keep it simple, Nothing turns me away more then an overly messy profile page.
How do you handle heels and faces?
I'm not a huge fan of black and white mentality. Every one of my OCs has a LOT of gray area. Some might find that aggrivating, but, I call it freeing. Straight heel and faces are just boring.
How much detail do you put in your profile?
Devilish53, at least in my opinion, made the perfect OC template, the one I use and recommend to this day. it can be found here
How many active characters do you have?
20, though this is VERY subject to change.
How do you set up matches?
I usually like to have a match with a certain ending in mind, my personal favorite is a bearhug KO. The rest, I just go out there and play, for the most part. Let the story write itself, as it were.
How much do you plan out?
As much as I feel is necessary, which isn't a lot, see above question.
How much communication happens throughout the match?
Depends. If I or the person I am RPing sees a mistake and/or has a spot in mind, they are free to communicate on the matter.
How much do you write in your replies/threads?
3-4 sentences. A lot of people here seem to use 300 words when 3 would do, which is kind of a turn-off, at least for me it is.
Favorite character to use?
"The proud look of humanity will be brought low,
And the arrogance of people will be humbled;
And He alone will be exalted on that day"
-Isaiah 2:11 (It's Isaiah "The Prophet" Bowen)
"
Favorite character that isn't yours?
I personally don't have any particular favorite individual OCs, but, I will say the roster I'm most impressed with is either anime-hentaifighter, ADarlingDucky, or even the head honcho himself, winner3.

Re: Some Questions
-How do you handle heels and faces?
I really like the idea of heels and faces, as it makes it easier to create rivalries for ideas, as well as interesting ideas, such as shanecawf 2.0, where its characters are all heels, and most of my characters (except one) are of the face type, which quickly makes the fights more interesting in my opinion
-How much detail do you put in your profile?
At the moment not much, it is something simple and beautiful, but that one wants later to make it more striking and cool
-How many (active) characters do you have?
I currently have 9 active fighters (1 man and 8 women), but in a short time I want to enlarge my roster more and more, as a boxer, friends from the past, unfinished rivalries ...... things that I would love to do in the future
-How do you set up matches?
Sometimes I rely on fights that I have read to get inspired and think: "Which character of mine would look good for this fight?"
Then I look for the right opponent and we try to make it the best for both of us
-How much do you plan out?
sometimes I love to plan almost everything that can happen in a fight, or just agree on what kind of fight it will be, who will fight and do everything as things happen
-How much communication happens throughout the match?
I adore every time this person or I make an answer, give a comment about it (what do I think, if there is something that I did not understand or just an idea, for example, something that my characters would say or think, even if they really do not)
-How much do you write in your replies/threads?
I try that the minimum is 2 paragraphs, but even being short, that it is understood as well as possible, although sometimes I have made somewhat long answers, but not as much as other people I have seen, who really impress me
-Favorite character that isn't yours?
favorite character that is not mine ........... there are several but if I had to mention a few they would be: Ducky williams, katherine heart, karen starring, Takeuchi aki and Hanabi kawai to mention the ones I like the most for design and history
And as an extra I would like to add this question:
-who is the character you have the most affection for? In the sense that you enjoyed how to do it, how do you want their fights to be interesting and things like that, in my case, that character is Jenny Rodouko

Re: Some Questions
How do you feel about formatting?
Short, sweet, and to the point. The more complex your profile is, the less likely I am to read all of it. Put the important information out there and save the fluff for your threads and roleplays. Keep the number of pictures in your profile to a minimum as well, at least in the first post. If I have to dig through a hundred pictures to find what I'm looking for, it's more likely I'm going to move on.
How do you handle heels and faces?
Same way as in the real world. Faces are meant to be cheered, heels are meant to be booed.
Are much detail do you put in your profile?
See my response to the first question. I try to keep things simple.
How many (active) characters do you have?
Uh. Several. I'm a slow poster so I dunno if I'd call any of my characters 'active', honestly.
How do you set up matches?
I either post a notice board post with what I'm looking for or wait for someone to come to me.
How much do you plan out?
Depends on the opponent and how important the match is. At the very least I want to know who's winning before we start the thread.
How much communication happens throughout the match?
I try to keep an open line of dialogue with my partner for most matches to ensure that everything is going smoothly.
How much do you write in your replies/threads?
All depends on what the reply is. Sometimes you need several paragraphs to sell what's going on, and sometime you only need a couple lines to get to the point. If a character is making their big comeback and it's the big climax of the match and things are turning to their favor, then they're going to get more text than if someone is beaning them with a chair and knocking them out.
Favorite characters to use?
Camilla and Poison at this point.
Favorite character that isn't yours?
I don't play favorites and I'd never build up Scorn's ego by telling him it's Karen.

Re: Some Questions
How do you feel about formatting?
I have mixed feelings. I'd like to make a prettier format. Or something that has a bit more flavor to it. For now, I try to make it readable at the least and easy to navigate.
How do you handle heels and faces?
I try to make my Face's characters that appeal to the audience through pageantry and morality. I try to make my Heel's as sneaky and hateable as possible. I don't necessarily base it around cheers and boos. Just like in modern wrestling (especially wwe) sometimes faces get booed and heels get cheered. Considering I tend to skew towards Lewd, I imagine a character like Rose Gold giving the fans a show by exposing her opponent would get cheered. Not because what she is doing is face-worthy. But because the fans are into it.
Are much detail do you put in your profile?
I use a base template for most of my characters. I try to update profiles as their character grows. In my modern profiles I have completely turned away from RPG-esque stats. I found them to arbitrary and everyone's character has a 5 or more. I'd rather just assume that everyone in the league is a professional, capable combat athlete unless they're meant not to be. I try to instead explore their strengths and weaknesses in their style area.
How many (active) characters do you have?
5? I think? That's about my max. It might be 6.
How do you set up matches?
I prefer to arrange matches via discord. Forum PM works too though. It's just slower.
How much do you plan out?
I like to plan out all of the major portions of the match. I like to know why the match is happening. I like to know how the physical drama will unfold. I like to plan the finish. And I like to plan a few spots. In between those spots it's improv. I've found that the planned spots in a match tend to shift or get replaced, but having those lynchpins help keep the match moving smoothly and without rest holds.
How much communication happens throughout the match?
Depends on my writing partner. I'm happy to talk about every post!
How much do you write in your replies/threads?
I write until I'm satisfied. I try not to ever go beyond one action (or one sequence if the action involves a feint or something). I try to reread my posts. I know I'm satisfied if I read it and go "Yeah... That was hot!" or "That was rad!". It doesn't always work out that way. I'm longwinded regardless :X.
Favorite characters to use?
Definitely Rose Gold.
Favorite character that isn't yours?
I've always loved Eirina Makishima!

I generally follow a template, be it for profiles or setting up threads, and have links to all of them in my roster. As for my roster itself, it's far too much of a pain to explain how to format it again.
As for formatting match replies - first half is my character reacting to what just happened. Second half is my character following up.
| How do you handle heels and faces?
In pretty standard fashion - heels should be booed, faces should be cheered. The only rare exceptions I have is Eileen Sommers (a heel) playing to the crowd with her assets, and Karen (a heel) occasionally getting a cheer through her tenacity. I've never rp'd a face/heel turn, so that's something for the future perhaps.
| Are much detail do you put in your profile?
A fair bit for my OC's. Other characters (based on references)/part timers, just the bare minimum. I stand by the thought that history of a character is probably the least important part, especially in comparison to personality and wrestling information. I don't bother with trivia.
| How many (active) characters do you have?
12 mains. These are characters that are OC's (or I intend to make them so) in for long-term goals and relationships.
9 part timers (Including one staff). These characters and their use varies drastically on what I'm feeling, and it's rare they do anything long term. (Or even past initial threads).
| How do you set up matches?
99% on discord. The very rare recent occasion I've used site PM's to start new matches haven't ended well.
| How much do you plan out?
Depends on the character and setting. If it's a main facing a rival, usually every notable moment. If it's a main in a ordinary match, just the bigger moments and winner. If it's a side character, usually just the rare notable spot, and who wins.
| How much communication happens throughout the match?
Varies on the user and the match. If it's a person I've rp'd with alot in a big match, it could be post-to-post communication. All the way down to not communicating after the initial match set-up to only communicating again after the finish. I'm always open to it though.
| How much do you write in your replies/threads?
1-2 paragraphs as minimum. More if the other person does more. It sucks when I'm there trying to fill a page with detail, only to get one line back.
| Favorite characters to use?
Karen Starring by a mile.
| Favorite character that isn't yours?
Unfair to say. There's several in near enough every regular users roster.

Re: Some Questions
| How do you feel about formatting?
I like to make my profiles look nice, though I defo don't put in as much effort as some people do.
| How do you handle heels and faces?
My faces tend to be goody-two shoes, or they put a lot of emphasis on playing to the crowd. My heels on the other hand tend to be real nasty and disrespectful to the fans. I write tweeners as being somewhere in-between, cuz that's what a tweener is lol.
| Are much detail do you put in your profile?
I put a LOT of detail into my profiles, maybe too much lol. I spend a lot of time brainstorming my characters, especially their personality and backstory, so I want to put all those details into my app and they end up quite long as a result.
| How many (active) characters do you have?
6 active, and 2 that are gonna get binned soon.
| How do you set up matches?
This might sound like a humble brag but usually people message me to arrange matches most of the time, the rest of the time I message people who post thread planning threads on Discord. I don't often come to people directly for RP's.
| How much do you plan out?
It depends on my RP partner, I usually ask them whether they want to plan it our or wing it. I prefer to plan things out enough for us to have an ending in mind and a spot or two to happen in the middle.
| How much communication happens throughout the match?
It also depends, but I tend to talk with my partner if I have a good idea for a spot, or if I'm not sure about something for my next post and wanna get their opinion.
| How much do you write in your replies/threads?
Usually around 2 paragraphs, though I write more for big spots and I write less if I don't have much to work with from the last post.
| Favorite characters to use?
Momo by a lot, but Ashley and Rindo are also favourites of mine.
| Favorite character that isn't yours?
That's hard to narrow down to just one, so I'm gonna list some favs. There's Sachiko Kozumi, Belinda and Cecilia Northman, Cyber Widow, Aziza, Iria Luna, Silver, Tara Kwan, Rose Gold, Heather Sunderland, Aoko Yukimura, Black Swan, Zarina Torres, Dana Ashford, Alizeh and Aella Midori, Sheena Akan, Ichika Rei, Alaina Sanders-Haines, Tina Armstrong, Ryori Bleck, Anita Anderson, Ayame Akan, Ryu Hiroshi, Karin Shin, Clara Gaster, Chika Igarashi, Karla Reinhardt, and Kat Hart.

Re: Some Questions
Sounds like a great idea! I think something like this could be really helpful for a lot of people, and I'm happy to put in my thoughts. Above all else, I really like LAW as a community, and I want it to be the best it can be. So if I can do what I can to help others, I'm all for it.
| How do you feel about formatting?
For the most part, I keep my profiles to a set format. I usually include an illustrative quote, the basic stats, pictures, a short history of what led the characters to join LAW (and, for characters that have been around for a while, a recap of what their career has looked like up to this point), personality, trivia, and details on their fighting style, preferred match types, signatures, and finishers. I try to keep things fairly organized so it's easily readible and people know what to expect.
I do worry about not having enough information on my roster page for interested readers to get a sense of each character without having to click on the link to their profiles, and I've been meaning to change that to include a short summary of each character, but I've kept putting that off. I also feel like I should organize the records for each character so they're in chronological order (ie. promos that precede a certain match are listed before that match) so that people know how to get the full story, but again, I've gone with the format I have for so long it's hard to change that. I have renovated the profiles for all my older characters to be up to my current standards, though.
Also, if there's an overarching storyline between multiple threads, I like to include links at the beginning/end of each post so that it's easy for people to navigate from one thread to another. Just thinking in terms of what I would appreciate as a reader.
| How do you handle heels and faces?
For me, it depends. Most of my heels and faces are fairly clear-cut; I'm a big fan of old-school wrestling and I believe that heel heat is a valuable asset. Some of the best heels are the ones you love to hate and want to see knocked down a peg, and that's what I strive for in my characters as well.
However, I don't think that "good triumphs over evil" and "villain defeats good guy to build them up as a threat before good eventually triumphs over evil" are the only two stories that can be told in wrestling. I think face v. face matches are underrated - after all, there's probably no greater friendship than one where you can take a piledriver from your friend and still congratulate each other at the end. One of my favorite matches I've done is Alizeh v. Sanae, and that was a face v. face match with both of them encouraging each other to keep going further and reach their true potential the whole way through. Heel v. heel matches are trickier, since if the reader is supposed to hate both of them they're not really invested in who wins, but I do think it can work in the right contexts. Sometimes I'm willing to let a character who's normally a heel take on the face role, or vice versa, if they're up against an opponent of the same alignment.
All in all, I'm interested in telling stories, not sticking to the same patterns. As long as I think it would be fun to write and fun to read, I'm willing to hear things out.
| Are much detail do you put in your profile?
While it varies from character to character, I usually have 2-3 paragraphs for history, and I try to fit other sections into one paragraph. I do understand if some might find them too wordy, though. I like including details and anecdotes about the characters' lives, likes and dislikes, pasts, etc., because to me it makes them feel more real and gives them depth. Sometimes, that helps spark new ideas for stories and interactions, other times it's just a fun little fact that fleshes them out more. I want my characters to feel like people, not just interchangable fighting game avatars with different looks and movesets, and that's something I strive to do with each one I make.
| How many (active) characters do you have?
As of now, I have 21 wrestlers, 5 staff members (plus a manager tied to one of the wrestlers), one fantasy character I haven't used much lately, and one joke character I haven't used ever because I've never felt like I've had a match that could do what I want to do with him. I don't use all of them at the same time, of course, and some of them I haven't been able to use as much as others, but I do try to rotate through them equally and seek out matches for those I haven't used as often.
| How do you set up matches?
It depends, for me. I do have a thread for matches I'm looking for linked in my signature, but truth be told I haven't updated that in forever. Now, if there's a specific match I want, I usually post about it on the LAW Discord, or see if anyone else is looking for a match that fits the same purpose I want to get out of it. Sometimes, if I like a character and really think they could work with one of mine, I'll reach out to their user, especially if that user is looking for threads. A lot of times, I've been approached by someone through Discord or PMs asking about a thread with one of my characters, and that's how I arrange things. At the moment I'm pretty backed up with threads and I haven't needed to put out new requests in a while.
| How much do you plan out?
There's three questions I ask every time I'm setting up a match - who should win, what kind of match it should be, and if there are any specific spots or moments the other user wants in the match. That usually covers it for me, at least for one-off matches.
If a match is integral to a character's arc, I tend to identify more specific moments I know I want to have happen for what I want to achieve. Or sometimes I just have an idea I think would be cool/hot and I know I want it to happen at some point. If both my partner and myself have done a lot of planning, I like to summarize a planned outline of the match, listing things point by point, and pin it in a Discord conversation (if applicable) so it's there for easy reference. Other times, all we need is the result and we're willing to fill things in as we go. It depends on what I, and my partner, want out of it.
I will say one thing - I'm not sure if it goes here or if it fits better with another question, but it's important to my growth as an RPer so I'm putting it here anyway. When I started in LAW, I was only really thinking in terms of it being something I did for myself and my partner, and when planning matches I tended to focus on what I thought would be fun. Later, I started getting messaged from people on other sites, or other users who weren't RPing with me at the time, saying they really liked my matches or my characters, and that was eye-opening for me. Just the thought that people chose to follow my threads and get invested in them even though they weren't involved, as they would with WWE or any other wrestling show, was mindblowing to me, and it inspired me to go the extra mile for them. Now, I've tried to work a lot of my matches for each character into consistent arcs, using smaller matches to build up to bigger ones, and in general hyping things up and setting up payoff as a real booker would. I take all that into consideration with my planning. Some might call that extra work, but to me, it's a lot of fun, and all the more satisfying when it pays off.
| How much communication happens throughout the match?
That also depends on the match and on the person I'm RPing with. Sometimes, if I get an idea for a spot I'll pitch it, or if I need to I'll get clarification as to what my partner intended to set up in their post so that I can write my response accordingly (eg. if their character got up from the mat or not). If I have an idea for a more complex move that sets up something that might need more than one post, or where the other character might conceivably react in the middle of it, I'll ask my partner before I post it so that I have their permission and they know I'm not trying to control their character. In my experience, everyone is different, and I respect however they might want to approach their threads.
| How much do you write in your replies/threads?
Usually, I go for 2-3 paragraphs of 4-6 lines each per post. Sometimes these can run longer, especially for toward the beginning and end of the match for setup and for the climax respectively. I tend to do a quick recap of the previous exchange of moves, elaborate on what my character's thinking and what's going through their head (reflecting on what happened and explaining their rationale for their next move), and describe what they're doing next. I do worry if it bores people, but so far I haven't gotten any complaints, so...yay?
| Favorite characters to use?
Oh man. This is gonna be a tricky one, because it's so hard to pick just one. I love them all so much. Astrid and Yuki have been characters I've set up a lot for storyline-wise and followed their progression over time, and that's been enjoyable. It's been really satisfying to watch them grow and to be planning out storylines for them that bring in multiple characters and matches. Sachiko is fun for her perverted trickster antics, and her careless self-serving attitude. Chelsea is a fun one too because it's always amusing to write a bunch of angry profane Liverpool slang. Outside of wrestlers, Eiji's been really fun to write for on LAW Twitter and the magazine because it lets me get into the mindset of a bitter old wrestling purist, and it makes me come up with colorful outbursts.
| Favorite character that isn't yours?
Another hard question, because I love so many of the characters here on LAW and it's hard to narrow it down. GASTER is definitely a good one. I've thought her gimmick was fun even before I joined. TiefBlau's Heather Sunderland is a character I've enjoyed ever since seeing her on DA back in the day, and one I've always wanted a match with at some point. Rose Gold stands out as an entertaining heel; her cocky, dominant attitude really makes her someone you love to hate. Ichi's Huxian Li is absolutely despicable in her wanton disregard to her opponents' safety and the law, and she's made me genuinely angry, which for a heel character is the best praise I could give out - I've compared her to Ox Baker (who, in my opinion, has the real-life record for the most heinous a heel has been within the bounds of kayfabe). Speaking of despicable heels, Cyber Widow is up there too. EpicSnivy's Ryori has been a lot of fun and I feel like she could go far. Kitten's Natalia is adorable and I love seeing her can-do attitude, and the fact that she's got a bit of a sadistic side adds some uniqueness to her character. Arisa's Gil I have to give a shout-out to, she's also really cute in how positive she is even against her cruelest opponents, and I feel like she could easily become a fan favorite even when she's just started getting herself established.
By no means is this a comprehensive list; that's just who I can think of at the moment. I love this whole community, and it's brought me a lot of fun in the time I've been here. To all of you...keep being your awesome selves!

Re: Some Questions
How do you feel about formatting?
I tend to us a similar structure for my profiles, the idea is to keep everything easy to read and make it simple for everyone to find the information they're looking for. And if it is not too ugly to the eye it's a plus.
How do you handle heels and faces?
I've only made face and tweener characters so far. I don't know if I can make a good heel and/or have fun using it, so if I do one it's probably going to be a jobber and pretty tame in its "evilness", I'm not much into the cruelty and humiliation stuff regardless of the side, whether if I'm inflicting it or being at the receiving end. And I'm one of those who think that all heels should get their comeuppance at some point (mine would get it pretty often lol).
Are much detail do you put in your profile?
It's variable, it mostly depends on how inspired I am. But I always try to put enough to give the reader's an idea of what kind of character there're dealing with. But even my shorter profiles weren't written in 5 minutes, everything is always the fruit of a longer pondering and every piece of information I give must have its reason to exist and be explainable, ideally nothing should be there "just because". I can also spend a lot of time on choosing and editing the reference pictures.
How many (active) characters do you have?
I have 5 characters and they're all active at the moment 4 wrestlers, 1 staff.
How do you set up matches?
I usually use discord, or a PM if I don't know the person's discord ID. I haven't made a request thread so far for my wrestlers, but I have one for Avalie because what I'm looking for with her is a bit different and requires a bit of explaining.
How much do you plan out?
I always discuss the outcome, if it's going to be one sided, back and forth... I rarely get into more details than this before starting a match, but I do often ask the person I'm RPing with how much they want to plan out.
How much communication happens throughout the match?
It depends sometimes I speak a lot, ask for feedback, what they would like to see happen next... and some other times I don't feel the need to discuss or comment what's happening.
How much do you write in your replies/threads?
Often not as much as I would like to. I'm a slow writer, I can spend a lot of time on a single post even when it's only 2 paragraphs. I can rewrite them several times because I'm not happy with the result (either the phrasing, or the general idea behind it). I often get stuck wondering what my characters would do.
Favorite characters to use?
It's hard to say. Anita is the most fun, especially when I write her tweets. I find Avalie getting more and more interesting to play as she's becoming more involved in LAW's lore, and I like having this possibility to RP and interact from a non-wrestler's perspective. I also like Melony's extravagant and aristocratic gimmick (which is only an in ring gimmick, not her true persona). Sylvia and Cassandra are more one dimensional.
Favorite character that isn't yours?
Even harder to say.
