Strategy and style: Paladin will first begin her fight with a few careful attacks, waiting for her opponent to show an opening. As soon as she spots a gap on their, defence, however, Paladin will launch a relentless assault to break down her foe’s defenses and get through to their weak spot, without giving them time to get away.
Physical abilities: Years of training make Paladin a powerful fighter, who can easily outmuscle most average opponents. Thanks to that as well as her large endurance she a quite fearsome foe even when unarmed.
Preferred weapons: Paladin is an expert in using her large one-handed sword and shield, years of experience with the weapons making them feel like part of her body. She is also adept with most larger blades, one or two-handed, as well as being expert in unarmed combat.
Magical abilities: Paladin’s magical abilities are lackluster. She is able to cast a few offensive spells, using her enchanted blade but on their own, these are quite weak, meant to be used as part of a larger barrage by armies. Other than that she has the perception to notice magic being used around her, and break average illusion spells, as well as survive some magical attacks, using her resistance and a defensive aura. A powerful mage, however, would have little trouble vanquishing her.

History: Paladin was born into the deeply religious human empire. There due to her already impressive strength at childhood, she was among the few selected for the Empire’s elite unit of warriors. For a long time, this meant occasionally skirmishes with the neighbouring EMpire, until finally a full-on war was declared. For reasons, unknown to most at the time Paladin’s Empire won the war rather easily, but as they invaded the capital the attack seemed to have slowed. Paladin was the first to enter the hostile castle and engage an elite warrior of the opponent. However, she soon found she was alone and before she could deal the killing bow an enemy wizard rescued her opponent. Frustrated, Paladin soon started looking into the weirdness of the final attacks and the whole war, and what she found horrified her. The leadership of her nation made pacts with heretic powers to take over the land but let the leaders of their enemy escape. With her deep religious conviction, Paladin could not accept this. She threw away her old name in shame for partaking in this twisted war and left the Empire. She is now wandering the land looking to test and increase her power as well look for the survivors of the enemy and the unholy allies whose presence she cannot tolerate as.
Personality: Paladin is deeply religious and will thus lash out at anyone she believes to be desecrating her faith or the spirit on which she believes her old Empire was founded, only to be later twisted by corruption. However, if you can avoid that topic, Paladin is quite amiable. As a warrior, she will always look to test her strength in a friendly sparring and she can easily have a friendly conversation in the tavern next to a tankard of ale as well.
