Grappl - The LAW Dating App!

A LAW press conference was announced for today, promising a new and exciting idea for their wrestlers that would transcend the wrestling ring. It piqued interest online, creating buzz for what it could possibly be. It was a bit of a surprise when after a brief introduction, one of the LAW wrestlers, Aarna Mehta, took the podium in a business outfit, smiling cheerfully. “Hello everyone! For those of you who don’t know, I’m Aarna Mehta, one of the proud performers here at LAW. And I’m just here to tell everyone about an exciting new program that we’re about to unveil!”
“I know everyone loves to watch our girls, and the guys, in the LAW ring. We connect with them. We love to follow their journey. And we root and cheer for them in competition. But what if I told you that there was a way that we could see a little bit more into their lives? We can take a quick peek into their personal lives?”
Then, Aarna gestured to the presentation screen beside her, showing in big letters “GRAPPL”. “I am happy to present to everyone… Grappl! I’m sure we’re all familiar with dating apps like Tinder, OK Cupid, and Bumble. But what if we took that and put a little spin on it for our LAW stars? Grappl is a dating app specifically for the wrestlers internally within the company. But we’re going one step forward, and the wrestlers will provide no identifying information. No names, no pictures, nothing that reveals who they really are except for their interests, likes, and answers to those fun little questions that dating apps ask for to match interests.”
Aarna hit a button on a remote, moving to the next page, with diagrams outlining what she’s speaking about. “Each wrestler will fill out a profile, and they will be able to match with anyone. After that, they will be able to reach out to any other wrestler they’re interested in, but they won’t be revealing who they are, even as they’re speaking.”
“And they won’t find out until they finally meet in person! Now, this could be for anything from a date, to a hook up, to a competition with potentially lewd stipulations! Whatever they are interested in doing whenever they meet up for the first time!”
With an excited smile, Aarna continued her speech. “But when they first meet up, we’ll have cameras there to see their first meet up, so we can see their reactions live! See a little bit past what we see them do in a wrestling ring, and see them outside of that. Could they be meeting their soul mate? Could they be meeting a friend? Or even a hated enemy? The opportunities are endless!”
“It’s all voluntary, obviously. No wrestlers are required to sign up. But there will be a monetary reward to incentivize signing up and participating! And besides, what wrestlers would pass up the opportunity to meet with the very attractive wrestlers we have? You could match with anyone! And if you’re lucky, you could even meet up with me!”
Aarna Mehta waited for a few moments quietly, and then her smile had slowly faltered slightly before she cleared her throat into the microphone. “I had paused there for crowd reaction… but that’s alright.” Taking a deep breath, she got back into it. “So we invite our audience to check out Grappl programming to see more of the wrestlers you love! And we invite all of our wrestlers to try our Grappl to potentially meet the love of their lives! Thank you for your time!”
She concluded as the crowd applauded politely. Mehta would turn her head, saying under her breath, “'If you’re lucky, you could even meet up with me… What were you thinking?'” Then, she looked afraid before covering up the microphone and giving a nervous smile to the audience again before the feed cut to black.

This is Grappl! A dating program for LAW wrestlers to meet up! This will be a tool to help facilitate stories in which you can have your characters meet up with someone else’s characters for any romantic, lewd, or competitive reasons, while adding a fun twist of them not knowing who one another are before meeting up, and the first meetings are recorded for the LAW faithful to watch and enjoy.
The incentives for characters to sign up are for them to either have a genuine interest in meeting someone, wanting to put on a show with the recording aspect, or to just want to get a bonus paycheck from LAW from participating, so there’s options for how you want to play it!
How this will work will be in simple steps:
1) Fill out a profile for your character, with a name and picture in the spoiler tag for the information that in-character, other folks can’t see. (See below for the template.)
2) Connect with someone you’d have interest in having one of your characters meet up! Collaborate how the conversations go via messaging and how they plan to meet up, though a date, hook up, or match! Plan out everything you need to!
3) Create the thread with the [Grappl] tag in the title! Remember that the first encounter is being filmed! And have fun!
Remember that this is just a tool to have characters meet up. It can be serious, a joke, or a genuine reach out for love! Have fun and make connections!
