L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

It was late midday at a beach in Tokyo Bay. A crowd of LAW fans in various beach wear surrounded a red rope ring in full view of the water yards away. From behind stood a ramp and some loud speakers on top. Soon rock music theme played and the announcer in the background called out. “Introducing first from Los Angeles, Carina Ricci. As the crowd clapped and cheered, a blond haired woman in a brown bikini beamed with a confident smile and flashed v sign with both hands. Walking down the ramp she waved back and forth with the exicited audience until she rolled into the ring below the bottom rope.

Checking with the referee Carina placed herself in a corner and waited for her opponent for today to show up. The huntress displayed a fierce grin, anticipating the contest to come. Smother matches were among her favorite bouts. Nothing gave her rush like knocking out in such a matter.

This so-called Tsunami better be ready. I would hate to be disappointed. She thought to herself.

Attire

Suzumi hasn't been in a smother match since she fought Kana, but she wouldn't be less prepared. Wearing her favourite yellow bikini, the Tsunami was ready for a beach rumble. After being given her cue, she would make her entrance as her music "Welcome to Paradise" played. "And her opponent from Japan, Suzumi "The Tsunami" Ishikawa!" called out the announcer. The applause continued as Suzumi walked towards the ring waving to the crowd. She even decided to stop a little to pose for the crowd.

Upon climbing the apron, Suzumi entered the ring through the middle rope. After being given a quick check by the referee, Suzumi approached her opponent. "Hi there, my name is Suzumi Ishikawa. I hope we have a good match. No hard feelings when I make you fall asleep" said the the silver haired woman feeling a little cocky.

She got class, I’ll give her that. Carina admitted to herself, watching Suzumi’s entrance and interaction with the crowd. The sliver hair was pretty cool in her private opinion. The west girl stayed where she was until her Japanese opponent approached. Quickly she noted while the Tsunami was two inches shorter she had a weight advantage over her.

Meeting in the ring center she smirked in mild amusement at what Suzumi confidently stated. “Carina Ricci.” Replied the huntress with arms on the hips before adding. “Likewise I look forward to this bout. Just don’t feel too bad when I send you off to dreamland.”

The Tsunami wasn’t the only one can be sure of herself. Soon enough the bell rang and when it did Carina began to circle the ring with a predator-like eyes. Seconds later she sprang at Suzumi, attempting to lock up with her.

Suzumi found Carina's jungle inspired attire rather interesting but she would still roll her eyes at the blonde's quip. "I can perform smothers and sleepers who does she think she is?" thought the Japanese woman to herself. Carina was taller but Suzumi was heavier. It was quite hard to tell who had the advantage in this bout.

The bell would ring signalling the start of the match. Suzumi raised her arms and tried circling around her opponent. The two women were like a bunch of wolves ready to tear into each other. Carina would be the first to engage as she leapt forward trying to lock up with Suzumi. The Tsunami gladly accepted the lock up as she tried pushing against her opponent in a test of strength. Suzumi grunted as she tried not to get brought to the ground. Wanting to gain the upper hand as soon as possible, Suzumi tried disorienting her foe with a knee to the gut.

They pushed at one another in a clash of wills. Already Carina can feel her Japanese rival is going to be tough one to beat. That suited her just fine. Just when Suzumi seemed on the verge of being forced to the ground when a counter strike came.

Carina with widened eyes gasped as the opponent’s knee slammed into her gut. “Shit!” The huntress muttered as she bend over from the sudden blow and the grip she held loosened. The sliver-haired Tsunami can take full advantage of this opening.

The dreadlock would be broken as the knee met Carina's soft chest. Suzumi tried to not make an immature giggle as she heard her opponent curse. With her opponent bending over, the Tsunami was free to exploit this. Which of her many moves will she use?

She let go off Carina's arms and instead grabbed her waist pulling her closer towards her. Suzumi then wrapped her arms around her opponent's back squeezing for a painful bearhug. Using her strength, Suzumi tried raising the taller woman higher as she applied the submission. This may be a smother match, but the silver haired woman was willing to enact the beatdown so that she can get an easy fall. "If you give up, I can let you take a nap in my pillows" said Suzumi looking at her opponent who is mostly like in pain from the surprise attack.

Before the west coast girl can recover she was suddenly caught in a torturous embrace. Carina grunted in pain while Suzumi lifted up and tightened the hold. Ricci struggled to break the submission hold by pushing out but with little success. It was in that moment the Tsunami made her offer causing Carina to hiss defiance.

“No thanks. Rather have you rest in mine.” She replied back through gritted teeth. In desperation Carina threw her head forward in an attempt to stun Suzumi with a headbutt.

Suzumi looked at her opponent awaiting a response. Her jaws or in this case were locked tight making it difficult for Carina to escape. To Suzumi's amusement, her opponent started to sound like a snake. "She is really embracing the wild girl gimmick" thought the Tsunami as she continued holding her opponent high.

Unfortunately, her hold was only so effective as Carina attempted a headbutt. The impact would cause Suzumi to cry out as she immediately Suzumi dropped her opponent. After breaking the bearhug, Suzumi just stood in place rubbing her hurt forehead. "You should have surrendered while you had the chance" muttered the silver woman feeling rather miffed about the headbutt despite it being legal. This left her open for a counterattack.

Despite feeling sore from her own headbutt Carina was relived when freed. Hitting the canvas on her side, the blond wrestler rolled backward up on her feet. Grinning like a predator behind Suzumi she did not hesitate with her next move. She charged and leaped toward the Japanese wrestler from behind. If successful she would lock her legs around Ishikawa’s waist followed by the arms wrapped neck of her rival.

Should this occur Carina would howl with delight much to many in the crowd’s amusement. “How ya like me now sweetheart?” The Italian American would then teased to the sliver haired opponent still standing.

The headbutt left quite a mark on Suzumi as her opponent was given an ample time to recover from the previous submission. Due to being busy nursing her recent wounds, Suzumi would not keep track of Carina's movements. Like a leopard hiding in the grass, Carina pounced from behind her locking in a variation of the sleeper hold.

"Get off of me!" yelled the Japanese woman as she tried striking her opponent with a backwards elbow. If Carina still maintained the hold, Suzumi would feel quite unsteady as she felt a large weight on her back. She slowly tried walking in an attempt to shake her opponent off of her to no avail. The change of balance would become too much for the Tsunami as she fell onto her knees with Carina still holding onto her.
