Decisive Cosplay Battle: Megu Kazamatsuri vs Devilish Midnight. Presented by LAW Entertaiment! (For Wagy)

Fuuto El Dorado. An upcoming fighting game, that had been in development for years now. Its wide variety of characters and the mechanics of each different map had gathered a large following. Some praising it heavily and some, as with many properties that become popular, criticizing its 'oversexualizing of many of the female fighters.' Not that it ever changed anything any of the revealed designs. Heck, one even had a slight upgrade - or downgrade as said critics would likely put it - to her outfit and revealed a little more skin. It even got them more followers, supporting them.

It even got them and their game a sponsorship from LAW. Either from management pushing for it, LAW's owner, who could say. But it definitely helped grow the franchise's audience even further. So much so a few select wrestlers were asked to be used for reference, adding a small number of new characters to the roster based off them as well. As well as one more little perk.

Maxsoft LLC, the publishing company for Fuuto El Dorado, had reserved a few slots at a popular convention. A standard Q and A with the development team and some of the voice cast. A live performance from an up and coming idol - Sano, Saitae, or some similar name - dressed as the main heroine of the game, lip syncing to the game's theme whilst fighting another character from it.

And lastly, the one that seemed to garner more attention than the others, would be two of LAW's wrestlers would be fighting at a live show. Not only, but the two would be cosplaying as certain characters from the games. Outside of actors or musicians in the league, this would likely be the closest to having a performance LAW would likely ever get.

Instead of using one of those, however, one of the newer, fresher talents was volunteered to participate in this live show.

"Aaaand done!" One of the makeup artists said, putting the last bit of gloss on the lavender-headed PI's lips. It had taken about an hour or two in the chair, much longer than Tokime's own regime ever took, but she was finally done. "Hm.... Actually, should we have put on a thicker eye shadow?" She asked the other artists, all of them huddling and discussing what touch ups could or should be added.

"Nah, she's fine!" The head developer said. "Megu is a magical princess, defending her kingdom on the front lines from any and every threat. Not some painted lady." The black haired woman came over, motioning for the detective to stand up. She looked Tokime up and down, nodding as she did so. "Nice. Very nice! You definitely are encapsulaing Megu Kazamatsuri perfectly!" She exclaimed, making the detective just slightly nervous.

"U-uh, thanks. I've had a lot of experience undercover, so I'm sure this will be fine." Taking a quick breath, resteeling herself, the detective turned back to the dev. "So, I read the script, but is there anything else I need to know? Like if our characters have history or something? I didn't find a lot of character relations or story when I was researching this."

"Understandable. The CEO hasn't let us put a lot of info out, believing playing things so close to chest would help pre orders. It has, of course." The dev put a hand around Tokime's shoulders, gently guiding her to the door. "But it also hurts us at events like this, if we do more. All you can know is what's on the script. And that the two of them have an... unpleasant rivalry. So feel free to give your co star a hell of a time. Now go go go! The show is starting in less than thirty seconds!" She said, all but pushing the private eye out the door as the game's main theme begun.

They didn't make the show too big, so all Tokime was allowed to do was walk into the small wrestling ring, waiting for whoever would be opposite her to join her in the ring. When she had, the two would mimic the character's intro lines to one another. As if the two were living the actual game.

"By my sword, I swear." The PI almost felt a little silly saying so, pretending to draw a sword Megu had, but she did not, and hold it in front of her. And with a flourish, she could point it forward at Devilish Midnight. "I will protect my dominion from your evil!"

Her opposite would then give her line and motion, followed by a projector turning on behind the two of them. A pair of health bars would appear on the wall, with the characters names above them. They really seemed to be going for the 'live action video game' angle. But there would be no time to drink anything else, with the announcer voice booming soon after and signaling the start.

"Ready!? FIGHT!!"

The choiche of employing fresh talents, especially one that has very recently debuted, could be seen as inappropriate from a business point of view compared to using enstabilished champions in regards to fulfilling one's part of a sponsorship bargain.
At the same time, performing well enough and satisfying the public demand and expectation, that being having someone that resembled as much as possible the charachter who were to be put at show, could greatly elevate a relatively obscure but rising star. Into a powerful and welcomed phenomenon.

That wasn't exactly Serenity's plan and she really could care less about becoming popular, a detriment in her wiew more than a plus, but her agent had very contrasting wiew.
And as always, she went along with what was ordered.

The dress up session was easy enough, she had earned compliments from the artists in charge of preparing her actually. Since she was already pretty similar in body type and usual outfit choiche to the character she would be impersonating for this event, she already used most product who were going to be necessary for her preparation.
Still, it was necessary to twing a bit with her hair and she had to put on colored lens but nothing that would impede her performance. After all the costume was very much a repaint of her standard attire, with some nice flower attached to her back.

And so. The eastern beauty would make her way towards the ramp who would introduce her to the arranged ring of the event.
She was a perfectionist. As such, she had briefed herself with all the materials relevant to her character attitude and backstory. Finding herself to be fairly in tune with it...

Devillish Midning, is a demonic entity who is servant to the Goddess of evil Kali. An herald of destruction, in the form of depravity and corruption.
Some speculate that she was once a common human, who sacrificed to the Goddess was made into one of her vessel, to prepare humanity for the impending doom of their planet. By making them more compliment with the fact and trasforming them into other servant of the Goddess.
She's alluring, mysterious and seductive. Attributes of Serenity's herself.

Purple smoke began to rise as the theme song of Devillish Midnight reverbed in the air.

And coming in front from it, was Serenity herself slowly and seductively dancing along with the tune.
Only her vague silhouette visible as the song rechead its peak.
The smoke dissipated, allowing her to strike a sexy pose for the fans, blowing a kiss for extra.
She would then enter the ring and just as her rival had done she would recite her line...

"I can see your deepest desire...
Let yourself be consumed, I assure you it's more pleasant than you imagine fufufu."

Before the fight was started.

As Tokime waited the few seconds before whoever played Devilish Midnight came out, she took a moment to just criticize some of the Maxsoft's decisions. Mostly how, despite being the main heroine, Megu didn't have as developed a story as her opponents' character. Or at least with released details. A princess who fights for her kingdom's safety. Playing it close to chest was one thing, but this was a little ridiculous, leaving the private eye to essentially make some of the character on the spot.

Not to mention her opponent actually had some effects for her entrance. It was only a little smoke, but still. 'Well, Midnight is a bit more popular right now,' she told herself. Before she could analyze - maybe a bit overly so - the wrestler playing Devilish Midnight stepped out. Tokime had to admit, other than possibly, slightly shorter hair, the woman may as well have been Devilish Midnight made real. 'Critiques aside, we really resemble our roles.' The detective looked the girl up and down. The cosmetics department really took pride in their work.

Soon they each gave one of their battle lines and the projection began, announcing the two performers to begin the show. Given they were wrestlers, the organizers had then given quite a bit of room to act as they saw fit. Just a few select spots here and there, as well as what the finale would be. But how to start? That was entirely up to them.

A test of strength was usually the defacto go to for wrestling, but given the fighting game theme Tokime decided that would be too slow a start. The audience wanted a fast paced show. With that in mind, and the ring being smaller to fit the feel of a fighting stage, the detective would move to close the little distance between them, aiming to nail Midnight in the chest with a rising knee.

Midnight raised up her knee to meet the knee of her opponent, parrying the attack and leaving them into a stall as the purplenette refused to give ground to the heroine.
And right here in this stale situation, she smirked.
It was a light, alluring, like she was after all, expression. The dark skinned woman, with a swift movement entangled her raised leg with that of the other wrestler making their body come togheter in the center.
Obviously, in regards to mere proportion. The PI was the one at the advantage, however...

Serenity cupped the face of the pinkette between her hands in a tender gesture and there as their faces were inches apart, the villain would say...
Her tone low as a whisper but still enough to be perceived and amplified for all to hear thanks to the small microphone the both of them were equipped with.

"Oh sweet Megu-chan, does thou desire so much to be in my arms? It's alright...
Compared to the mind of mankind, the sweet corruption of my goddess accept everyone~."

This wasn't exactly part of the script.
Midnight was intended to merely dodge or parry the incoming attack, according to what was settled by the agents who had worked on the script of the match. Still, they did gave them a lot of creative freddom for what it came in regards to play the character and to be fair...
Midnight is described in various concept art as being a flirtly temptress who smites men and women without distinction with her charms.
So overall, nothing too strange.
The public even seemed to be pleasantly rallied up!
What came next though would be undoubtedly less pleasant...

"Oh, I know I'll have to work hard to see you all nicely corrupted~.."

She carressed Tokime cheeck.

"But that's fine, the one with a fierce will like Megu-chan art the most pleasant to break~."

Serenity then proceeded to slap hard her collegue on that same cheeck, sending her away with a kick to the stomach following after.

Tokime knew the villainess' rising knee would block her own, leading her to click her tongue in annoyance. Then Midnight said her line, softly caressing her cheeks as she locked their raised legs together. This part wasn't in the script, but of course they were each given creative freedoms. It was something the character Midnight would say - and the PI had to give props that the woman beneath fit the role more than merely looking similar - but the detective wasn't the biggest fan of throwing this type of fan service into a fight.

Only to quickly be followed by the slap and kick to the gut, sending Tokime staggering away holding both areas as Megu's healthbar slowly decreased. She glared at her ash skinned colleague, wracking her brain for a retort. Improvisation wasn't anything new to the detective. But doing so while trying to act like a different person, who she had little notes on? That was where the problems arose.

After maybe a couple seconds, hiding her lack of immediate response by selling the hits, Tokime finally had something. A response that fit a princess protecting her realm. A decree fitting a defender of her people.

"Spit whatever honey laced poison you like," Tokime said with confidence. "Try as much as you wish, defiled temptress. I will never abandon my people!" The detective quickly closed the distance between them again, throwing her forearm into Midnight's chest. A blow that should be blocked, should her quick recovery briefly bewilder the purplette. If she were successful, the detective would hook her leg around her opponent's own, pulling back to trip her up. Tokime aimed to knock Midnight onto her back and to the canvas, soon followed up be dropping a knee into her gut.

Midninght looked maybe a bit too satisfied with her opponent current predicament so much so that once the pinkette got her act straight she could see the arabian beauty taunting her with the common gesture of "come and get me" of her fingers.

"What's the matter Megu-chan?"

She asked, a line of the script. A thing that should ease up Tokime as it signified that her opponent didn't want to take any major liberties after all and they were still on the right track of the performance.
Matter of fact, the next couple of action went exactly as planned.

The elbow of the princess is blocked by the villainess countering with her own, this had them once again momentarily face to face.
With some of the screens of the arena reproducing the show on the ring even zooming on this particular moment of contrast.
This was a reference to one of the mechanic of the game, a direct ripoff of somenthing introduced in mortal kombat where during a clash two opponents would quickly exchange a lore related interaction.

"Is the safety of your people really so important to you? What have they done to earn it? Are they really so worthy of your sacrifice of you putting your everything over yourself. Such a shame Megu-chan, but don't worry I will help with that once I have properly corr--!"

In the game now, there would be a little mashing competition to see who wins the clash to ger an hard free knockdown. However, since in the script Midninght is supposed to lose this, is no surprise when the sweep of the PI is a success and with a loud moan of pain the healthbar of the villainess is decreased as Megu's foot find its way to her gut making her spill "purple blood" into the air.
A sign that had to be used to show that the opponent in the game had also managed to assest a critical blow.

Twiching under the pinkette feet Midnight would still manage to moan out a...

"Ahh Megu-chan is so violent~".

Tokime glared at Midnight as she motioned at her to 'bring it.' Something felt off about it, despite being included in the script. The detective didn't know why, but it almost felt like it was supposed to be assuring rather than acting. She'd have to put that to the back of her mind for bow, straightening back up quickly.

Her elbow thrust forward, meeting the Arabian's forearm for a clash popularized by the MK series and had been copied by many similar fighting games. The display along the walls showed an 'X' in the middle of the screen, mirroring the game's button mashing that would take place during the game. As it did the villainess said her lines, with perfect malice and sensuality. It almost erased the brief unease she felt moments ago. Almost.

Midnight soon reached the end of her script, where Tokime would cut her off. "So what?" She asked with righteous determination. "I'm not the one to judge them. My duty and my calling is to protect their peace regardless. You call it 'sacrifice?' You couldn't be more wrong. I fight so my kingdom can live free of any who dare try and shatter their world!" Tokime almost cringed at such a soft-boiled line, and also how wordy it was. Hopefully the exchanged would be shortened for the game.

After she spoke her leg tripped up the Arabian, hiding it as best she could to play like she won the clash. Her knee dropped onto Midnight's gut, the woman spitting her 'purple blood' from the 'critical hit.' The HP bar dropped significantly, but the investigator didn't see how much exactly. She was too distracted by the additional line Midnight spoke, something that could be in character she guessed, but gave her that off feeling again somehow.

"Take glee while you can, Midnight," Tokime said as she took a few steps back. It was her time to improvise lines again, setting up what would be the closest she could do to Megu's move. "I'll make your decrepit goddess pity you by the end." The detective ran the short distance and dropped into a slide, aiming a basement dropkick to the side of her opponents head of purple hair.

In game Megu slid with her sword thrust forward, going under an opponent's standing guard, or to attack a prone foe. Since such a move couldn't exactly be done without such a prop, the PI did the closest thing she could. And not just once. She would roll forward and quickly repeat her action from the opposite side. After she stood back up, posing with her hand on her hip, one of Megu's taunts from game trailers. "The light will always prevail!" She finished the taunt with the line, leaving herself open. Midnight would get up as she did so, taking advantage as if to punish a cocky player. And she did so would be up to the purplette. Tokime just had to roll with whatever would follow.

The villainess was in for quite the predicament as after striking her gut her foe did not relent, battering her from both sides on her head no less in two rapid and consecutive hits which had her see stars.
Midninght's healtbar dropped further, after such a combination of overwhelming strenght about half of her health had been depleted by Megu's hits.

Fortunatly, this was also time for her to comeback.
Once Tokime gave her shoulders and pronounced her line, the screens that were transmitting the match live momentarily stopped it on the triumphant Megu...
Before a persona style interruption, with parts of the charachters visage showing in a red background across the static picture as constrat, flashed before the screen showing an image of Midninght visage with a huge pyscho grin as her signature voice line...

"Oh seems someone still needs to learn their lesson~."
Echoed in the stadium.
Like a cobra assaulting an unsuspecting prey while laying still, Midnight revived from the dead as in a jump she immediatly found herself on the pinkette's back to bring her down with a painful backstabber.
Her knees dug deep into the PI's back and she will soon find out that her peril wasn't finished yet.

Taking advantage of the momentary moment of "stunning" both in what was the game and what was pure simple pain that she had brought, Serenity would straddle Tokime on the ground pinning her on her back while lifting up her legs to sit on her stomach.

But first..a prelude.
Midninght possess the trait "sudden revival" which allowes her to teleports behind the back of her unsuxpecting opponent once per match, when she's on the ground and below 30% of her healthbar.
This attack is usually combined with what will now follow.

"You're so gentle and optimistic Megu-chan, I like that about you~."

The dark skinned woman said, before plunging her fangs into the poor girl's neck making blood spur like a founrain.
In reality she had only hit the prepared little bag of fake blood who had been placed around Tokime's neck for her bite attack, which thanks to Midninght special abilty bloodrinker would allow her to restore lost hp, while the opponent lost them.
Things however turned a strange turn when Serenity started to indulge a little bit more in this maneuver, leaving even playful sensual nibbles on her foe's neck.

Tokime stood as if a statue after her taunt and Midnight's 'skill' activated, similar to what would happen during the game should the skill activate then. The villainess' voice rung out throughout the meager arena, before the ashen skinned woman sprung up and brought Megu down with a backstabber. "Kffhhhh!" The detective hissed in pain, landing on her front before Midnight pounced on her, biting into the prepared bag around her collar.

"NOOOO!!!" She screamed in feigned pain, an echo effect added to her audio as the blood spilt and sprayed from the 'wound'. It hadn't actually hurt, with the bag protecting her, and it was to be expected. Megu's health depleted heavily from the 'skill,' with half of that refilling Midnight's own. Everything was going perfectly, and as soon as the temptress had her fill th-

"H-hhaahhh~" Tokime quietly moaned in surprise, feeling her opposite not only staying atop her, but had moved the remains of the blood bag aside to begin nibbling at her neck. The kind that fit perfectly for LAW, but was completely unscripted and definitely wasn't supposed to be part of their act. "H-hey, what are you doing?"" The PI silently questioned, once her surprised abided. "You're supposed to get off already, remember!?"

If Midnight kept up her sensual attack up, refusing to follow the script, then Tokime would as stealthily as she could elbow the woman and get her off. Tokime would get back to her feet soon after she was freed, her face red from the sensual biting. Out of the corner of her eye she took a look at their respective health. After the "Sudden Revival" Midnight was about at seventy percent now, while Megu's bar was just a little over half remaining.

This was another blank in the script, with the main thing being Midnight taking control of the match until the princess reached around twenty to thirty percent left. It wasn't going to be a fun time for her, but the detective knew what the end game was supposed to be. Her foot would shoot forward towards Midnight's gut, seemingly planning to wind her for a followup move. In reality the purplette would instead catch and counter. The detective just hoped things wouldn't be too painful for her.

Serenity continued to softly nibble her opponent's neck with her teeth, her sly eyes opening to meet Tokime's confused ones. To the protests of the PI, the purplenette merely responded with a soft, sultry whisperer.

"Oh? You don't like it perhaps? Should I be more gentle with you? I don't know about yours but my contract had a clause that specified that the goal of this match was to have lots and lots of...fanservice~".


That was true. Both wrestlers had a small clause in the contract for the match regarding the fact that they should give a moderate amount of fanservice.
However, it was intended in the form of giving innuendos for plot points of the game and the lore of the charachters they were playing.
Yet...
A unfortunately loud part of the public semmed to fine enough with such an experience playing out.
Midninght x Megu was already a semipopular ship now this would definetly rally the fan arts up.

As Tokime forced herself up, Midnight had wry smirk on her lips. Of course, she had complied with the girl request to get off of course but only after taking her sweet time leaving her bite mark on the pinkette leaving to her the impression that they were still gonna follow the script.
Matter of fact, the next moment went exactly according to the plan...
Megu tries to kick, but the villainess promptly evades and with her charachteristic agility gets behind her opponent lifting her arms up by locking her own under the PI shoulders, executing a full nelson.

"Guys, don't you think that Megu-chan is cute when's she flustered and embarassed?" The purplenette asked the public. Waiting for their reaction before slamming the poor pinkette to the ground throught the full nelson with a suplex.
