a Cass, a Kate and a comic con

Location: Local Comic Con close to the LAW site.

When one thought of Cassie, few people would realise that underneath the short, muscular, soft spoken and somewhat shy competitor in LAW, Cass was.. a bit more of a nerd than people had expected. Sure she agreed to do a cosplay match, and sure she liked insects enough to have a whole room dedicated to them.. but Cass wasn’t really known to be found at comic cons.

Which would lead to to a surprise for any viewers of both, cause wasnt that one of the youngest competitors of LAW Apex up there at the stage, barely out of her teen years, dressed in a magnificent cosplay she had made of her own hands? The lightning crest shimmered an electric blue, her body looking like a goddess. It helped that she bore a striking resemblance to the character she cosplayed.. and had the same first name. She was a dead ringer, as Cass quite easily won the crowd over with her cosplay in the competition and won first prize!

.. however, all was not well. Post match, Cass had been handed a drink, and she was thirsty. The suit was pretty hot, and Cass needed it, so she chugged it down. Big mistake. Her jealous competitors had spiked it, and four of them, a Godzilla, a Black Canary, a neko girl and a Gojo cosplayer were leading her away to a secluded spot. They cornered the dark haired girl. One, the Black Canary.. reached out to try and take her medal and her cash prize.. “Bitch.. you don’t even deserve this! You only got it cause you’re a wrestler, your popularity got it, not your boney skank ass! Who would ever want someone like you in a suit for them??” She sneered..

”MmMMmMm nooo..” was all they heard, before a kick drove into the cosplayers face, breaking their nose and sending their unconscious body tumbling. Cassie staggered a little bit.. and swaying, her eyes unfocused and dizzy.. but even so, gaining colour and focus by the second. She had a really good tolerance for poisons, and this wasn’t gonna keep her drunk for more than an hour, two tops.. “noOoo.. thats MINE!.. if you try to take it.. I will Rock Lee.. or Bruce Lee your shit in..!!..”

Since joining LAW, Kate found going to conventions more stressful, for one, people were now recognising her so that meant a lot of signing, taking pictures and general hanging out with fans. The very idea that she had fans was still strange to her even if the interactions themselves were not unpleasant. It still made her miss the times when she could just go somewhere and be just another face in the crowd.

The bigger fear was actually running into someone from LAW at one of these events, and it just so happened that it was the day she did. To be fair, she didn't think Cass saw her in the audience or recognised her, they never met before, but she was there, looking at how her fellow wrestler absolutely crashed through competition. On the list of surprising events, there was a new position now, seeing one of LAW stars win a cosplay competition. Still, she at least wasn't seen...

Passing through the halls, slowly heading to the exit, she heard some commotion. She wasn't sure what it was all about but she was passing by anyway so she decided to check. What she walked in on was the cosplayer in a rather mediocre Black Canary costume hitting the floor. Her eyes went up, realising what was going on and springing to action before she could even think.

The Gojo cosplayer was winding up to hit Cass but before he could, Kate grabbed the back of his neck, pulled him back and after grabbing his belt as well, tossed him at the one in the Godzilla costume like he weighed nothing, with both of them landing hard on the ground and seemingly rather reluctant to stand up. Then she turned to the neko girl, who wisely decided that was time to cut her losses and fled from the scene.

"Come on, we should get out of here!" She said, extending her hand to Cass to try leading her out of this mess in her intoxicated state.

”hiC-.. wuhzat..? purple..?” All Cass knew that.. she was being attacked by 4.. no, 3 people.. and suddenly there was only one. This wasn’t someone she bad seen before, but the purple seemed familiar.

Cass frowned at the outstretched arm.

She’d look down at her, her outfit coming into bleary view. She was.. she was a Bat.. Batman.

Purple.

What did Batman have to do with purple?

“JoOKER!! You.. you.. hiC.. mean old clown! YOU KILLED ROBIN!!

That wasn’t good. For as soon as her mind made this particular connection, Cassie gripped Kates hand tightly. While drunk, she was still rather skilled, as the dark haired woman bounded up agilely, wrapping her thighs around Kate’s neck and pushing the womans outstretched arm up between her breasts, locking in an armbar! She may have been drunk out of her mind, but it was the move of a professional!.. as she’d straddle Kates shoulders, peering down again..

”hiC.. don’t.. don’t remember the hot abs though..”

One moment Kate was helping the girl, then she heard some garbled speech, clearly showing that the girl was intoxicated. Then her hand was grabbed in an all too familiar way and the instincts kicked in. Immediately she would turn her arm so that her thumb pointed at Cass, making the pressure on her elbow go away.

There was still the issue of the girl hanging off of her, it wasn't much of a challenge to hold Cass aloft but it was very far from ideal. That being the case, she would push the other woman's back against the wall and crunch her to get right in her face.

"Cut it out, I'm trying to help!" She said hoping Cass would come to her senses.

Cass however, was still kind of drunk. So when the dark haired female was shoved against the wall her body folded against the concrete, she'd blink again and look at Kate, a little pout on her face. And then, she'd proceed to grumble dejectedly. "I had it under control, purple.."..

She considered biting Kates thumb, but felt it'd be a little mean. Tiredly, she'd relinquish her hold over Kate, her body going relatively limp as to the snakelike constriction faded away. Cass softly exhaled, rubbing her irises. Bit by bit, Kate came into view.. wasn't she a young lioness? and a year smaller than her? She was being held up like this by her junior, as she'd let out a rather embarrassed squeak, lifting her arms up.

"Sorry! Lemme go now, will you?"

Kate didn't really grab Cass in any way it was just the position of her legs and the fact that Kate pushed her to the wall that was keeping her up. Not wanting to just let the girl fall to the ground, she would grab her, reposition, and gently set her down.

"Sure you did... Now do we go or would you rather explain it to the security when they show up?" She said, slowly turning before looking back to see if Cass would follow.

Part of Cass was kinda impressed at the ease with which Kate just kinda picked her up and set her down. Still a little dizzy, she'd accept Kates hand graciously, and nodding at her, ready to follow her away elsewhere.

"S-suuuuree.. names.. Cass..ie..andra. Cass." She'd slur her words a little, before composing herself and following her. Though she'd lean to the side and giggle a little, rubbing Kates abs. "S-so youre rescuing me.. like im a pretty princess.. and you're a brave and built knight..?..

Kate was focused on getting them out of this whole affair so when Cass introduced herself she would take a moment to reply. "I'm Kate. Wait, what are you doing?!" She said shocked at the touch before reminding herself that the woman was drunk and letting it slide. "I guess that comparison is fitting." She replied, visibly blushing.

Eventually, she would lead them out of the building and a few streets down to a park entrance near which she stopped to get the raven-haired girl some water and something to eat for both of them

Cass blinked. She thought it was kinda obvious what she was doing, and stated as such. "Checking you out! And flirting! Dont you know what flirting? Do you.." here she flourished dramatically "GET NO MAIDENS? OR.. or KNIGHTS?" Despite her ramblings, the darker haired girl was led away, into the fresh air and handed water. She'd sniff suspiciously since she DID just get drugged, but seemed alright to her. She'd take a long drink, crushing the plastic bottle and finishing it off in one swig.

There only, did she actually start to comprehend stuff properly. She'd look at Kate, peering in closer and smiling a little. "Thanks.. for saving my butt. You are.. pretty cute of a knight to my princess, hehe.. wouldn't mind ya invading my castle-" She'd nudge Kate's shoulder with her elbow, giggling softly.. a lot calmer than before.

"I know what flirting is!" She let out before adding more quietly. "I'm just no good at it..." and continuing to lead Cass in silence.

When they reached their destination, she would look to the park and recalling what Cass said earlier, say with a smirk. " Here, touch some grass." Then she heard what Cass said and blushed "Did that line ever work for you?
