Amped up and motivated by her sister Serafina, Amelia Kunisada began making her way towards the special beachside ring as soon as she heard the mystic tunes of her entrance theme beginning to blare through the loudspeakers on the beach! Collecting her composure as she emerged from the makeshift backstage area, La Liana Rosa took rather graceful steps towards the ropes she could see in the distance in front of her, subtly waving politely at the crowds filling up the bleachers around her. And sure enough, just as her sister had predicted, she could hear many of them voicing out their popularity, even hearing quite a few catcalls... But the bikini-clad ninja remained focused on turning them into confidence, just as her sister had advised her!

Reaching the ringside ropes, Amelia then proceeded to do her usual entrance manouvers by getting up onto the nearest turnbuckle to greet the audience by the beach in a calm and collected manner. Then, jumping up inside the ring, the bikini-clad girl performed a Somersault before landing gracefully onto the sand, and proceeding to the center of the ring to bow for the crowds in the traditional Japanese way to each direction. Even if in this attire, it did feel a bit funny... But what soon grabbed her attention even more was the surface of the ring, which consisted completely of the beach sand. And more importantly, how hot it felt under her feet! Frankly, it was quickly becoming almost intolerable just standing still on top of the sand.... This could potentially turn out to be a problem.

Under the punishing heat of the sun, La Liana Rosa then retreated into her corner to await the arrival of her supposedly fungal opponent... While settling her feet actually on top of the bottom rope instead of the hot sand, and leaning her back against the turnbuckle.

"I get that I'm the most popular MWL... but I think Ozy was better suited for this style of beach combat, don't you think?" said a confused Fungus as she talked to her boss about why she was chosen to face a ninja in a beach battle. "...I see... Well, wish me luck today." In the end, her boss convinced her why she should do it, since she’d be facing a rookie and because she was gaining momentum in this organization with the goal of conquering it, just as she had done at her parent company.

It was time to go out, and she did so wearing her secondary summer outfit, which still featured a mushroom theme meanwhile her music began to play through the speakers set up on the beaches. As expected, the audience greeted the MWL ace with loud applause and praise, even showering her with compliments on her beautiful appearance. The Fungi Star responded by high-fiving everyone present as she walked toward the makeshift ring set up for the day.

It was pretty hot, perfect for a day at the beach, and that was clearly why the fight took place on one of them. Luckily, Fungis already had experience with this type of fight, and thankfully she brought shoes this time, preventing her feet from getting burned by the sand. When she arrived, she went to a corner, climbed up on it, and stretched her arms out to the sides, earning even more applause from the crowd.

After that, she climbed down from the poster and walked over to her opponent, noting that Amelia, as her manager had told her, was slightly taller than her and noticeably quite thin, possibly making her an agile opponent who lived up to her ninja gimmick. “Hi, I’m Fungus, I hope this match is spectacular,” she said as she shook her hand before the match began, as a sign of good sportsmanship between the two women today

Wearing boots on a beach? Silly.

Wearing boots in a beachside ring? Maaaybe not so silly.

Unfortunately, Amelia had only considered the first part when preparing for today's match... And now she was already regretting it. The longer she had to stay still and wait for her opponent, the more evident it became... Even if her feet weren't touching the sizzling sand right now. Trying to keep herself balanced on the bottom rope felt still silly enough... And made her hope that everyone would soon be focusing on the entrance of her opponent instead.

A wish, that was soon enough granted to Amelia! The crowd present could soon start hearing the tunes shifting to something completely else, and some movement beginning to shift towards the ring from the backstage area... And while all the others were seemingly going wilder, Amelia on the other hand was growing increasingly cautious...

Why? Well, firstly, her music. It was Rock music. That in itself would give quite a badass impression... But it wasn't only that. It was the lyrics of the song too... Poison. Poison. Poison all over again... That couldn't have been a good omen!

Even if her sister Serafina had told her that having a supposedly poisonous opponent didn't matter at all, Amelia wasn't so convinced that Sera had been fully truthful with her...
...Which was a feeling that related to another reason why La Liana Rosa was growing cautious. Yes, the crowds had given her a favorable entrance, clearly having liked her bikini-clad appearance... But this Fungus was still getting them absolutely wild! All the applause and praise that her opponent was getting seemed very out of place for a rookie... And Amelia was getting the feeling that either Serafina had failed to research the history of her fungal opponent properly, or then she had intentionally left something untold to her sister!

As Fungus was throwing high-fives while approaching the ring, and climbed on top of the corner to bask in their favor, Amelia focused on assessing her opponent. She didn't get to do that for too long though before the mushroom girl began approaching the center of the ring, prompting Amelia to meet her there in the middle. Even with her gimmick though, La Liana Rosa had to remark that Fungus did not look too dangerous, but rather, simply very cool in her attire... And she also appeared pretty harmless and cute. That was certainly giving her mixed feelings now!

Amelia's positive feelings were further reinforced by her opponent's greeting, and how she decided to fairly shake her hand as well. "Hello Fungus, I'm Amelia. And yes, I hope so too!" the Mexican-Japanese girl replied in a very corteous tone as she accepted the handshake, right before she took a few steps back, and bowed towards her opponent in the traditional, respectful Japanese manner.

That may had been part of Amelia's usual procedure, but it also allowed her to notice something more concerning again... Of course, Fungus had realized to wear proper wrestling boots on this beach! That was certainly a disadvantage for Amelia... Which reminded her again of her prior doubts and concerns. Thus, her following question still before the bell would have rung revealed some of the ninja's cautious approach to her opponent.

"Nice... Gimmick. But aren't you supposed to be poisonous though? A poisonous mushroom?" she asked her opponent in a more reserved tone now instead.

There was a reason she wore boots for today’s match: she knew that the heat on a beach can work against you if you’re fighting there, especially if that heat prevents you from standing normally. On top of that, she was going to sweat more than she’d like after this match, so she’d be grateful later that her feet didn’t get burned.

It was to be expected that the crowd would go wild for her every time she entered the ring, especially since they got to see her scantily clad on the beach. The MWL Ace knew that the LAW audience was much hornier than the one back home, but the Fungi Star knew how to capture any crowd’s attention, whether with her cute looks, her playful and wild attitude, or her skills in the ring.

And all of this was accompanied by her entrance theme, “Poison, ” which is such a great song. When she was just starting out, she doubted the song would suit her, but her boss assured her it would be iconic, and in the end, he was right. It was a song that fit perfectly with Fungus’s ever-changing personality and showed that, while she’s adorable, she can be a threat in the ring

This wasn't a classic wrestling match, according to her boss. A rookie from a team struggling to make a name for herself without any help from her teammates, facing off against an established star looking to dominate a new territory from scratch. Same goal, different motivations. It sounded interesting to Caren, why lie?

After putting on her usual spectacular show to get the crowd fired up, she turned her attention to her opponent. Her bikini wasn’t anything spectacular, just a pretty casual one you might see on ordinary people. She also noticed that, unlike Top Toad, she was barefoot. “A rookie mistake,” thought the mushroom girl as she watched her ninja rival, who seemed a bit nervous and fearful of their encounter.

Amelia politely returned her opponent’s greeting on this sweltering day, saying she was looking forward to the match just as much as her opponent was; she then stepped back and gave a slight bow, a Japanese greeting. This was met with a response from the Mushroom Kaijin, who felt a little embarrassed for not returning the greeting in the same way, even though she was also of Japanese origin. This was because she had grown accustomed to waving with her hand after fighting so many foreign wrestlers throughout her career.

Then the Latina ninja asked her something that wasn’t very common for her since she’d joined this federation: she asked about her gimmick, whether she was supposed to be a poisonous mushroom. The one with the mushroom-shaped hair smiled playfully and mischievously, as was her custom, and said, “That depends. I could be a toxic mushroom that makes you pass out, or an edible mushroom that I’d enjoy putting in your dinner, or maybe a hallucinogenic mushroom that gives you the best trip of your life.” She said this with a giggle, teasing her opponent.

After that, she turned around and headed to her corner, where she prepared by doing some final warm-ups before the bell rang, formally kicking off the match between the two of them.
