George Fortunato
The snow blew out into the parking lot as the loud sound of the device he used lit up the exterior of the bar. He hummed a little tune and shivered his way around the building as Chelsea, Harmonia, and Molly could be seen inside working their magic to get the evening ready. Chelsea polishing shot glasses, Harmonia setting out eating utensils, and Molly stacking cold beers into their slots back in the kitchen. Finella, Tania, and Mizuki all wore their regular work clothes as they started passing out bottles of champagne and sparkling wine for the holiday evening. They had to maneuver around a small festive gift that laid out in the middle of the bar. An actual boxing ring.

The boxing ring was small in size to accommodate for the bar’s medium-sized room length. It had four pairs of black ropes, four pairs of four pink fuzzy turnbuckle pads, the words “The Wolf and The Bunny” written in gold cursive along the dark green apron coverings, and attachable black steps that led up to the ring. It might have been a puzzling new addition to the bar, but if anyone knew George and how he loved to run his bar, they would have an inkling of an idea of what the purpose for this ring was. Chelsea sighed as she stacked the last shot glass in the proper line.
“Ah can’t believe ah let him sell me dis idea,” Chelsea grumbled as she held two fingers to her head.
“Oh, come now, darling. It won’t be that bad. I know you have your preferences of not being totally naked, but this is meant to be a special night for us all,” Harmonia stated as she finished her job.
“It is for one night and we get a lot of cool names to come to the bar. It’s good for business!” Molly exclaimed as she popped around the corner to insert her opinion.
“Ah get it, ah get it. Ah jus’ wish sometimes Jud didn’t resort ta his lewdness foolishness. Sum of our patrons jus’ want ta watch da new year’s football games or get drunk,” Chelsea explained her frustrations.
“Like it or not Chelsea, us beating the crap out of each other while half-naked sells the most attention around here. Do you remember how many numbers we drew last March?” Finella stated as she round the corner to get her notepad for orders.
Chelsea remembered it fondly well as she had a fun, but equally intensive oil wrestling match with her former hated rival turned loved family member. Finella and Chelsea wanted to settle their feud in a more fun way after beating each other senseless on LAW’s biggest stage. They reconciled in the hospital and put their grudges away, but agreed to be rivals when it came to the ring still. Finella has been focusing on her career since then, but is always up for her and Chelsea to throw down which is where George’s new idea for the pub came in.
Suffice to say, George wanted to outdo his previous ventures and thought up of a topless foxy boxing night. He gathered some of the best people he knew and ordered a custom ring that had been put together six weeks ago. Considering a lot of the people he knew either had boxing experience beforehand or at least experience with striking, there wasn’t much pressure for a lot of them to train hard. Plus, foxy boxing is a less serious version of the normal sport, but they would make sure the fighting wasn’t fake. They just wouldn’t be too hard on each other. Chelsea looked up at the match card that George had scooped together.

A lot of special names coming up for the long match card and George extended the pub hours by two hours to close by 4AM to make enough time for each match. Everyone would most likely sleep off their morning after being exhausted, but George would make sure to pay Finella, Tania, and Mizuki for doing overtime. Their shifts normally started at 4PM to help set up for opening at 6 and they normally got off when the pub closed at 2:15 AM. Harmonia and Molly helped with marketing as they got countless names with the sole intention of garnering more fame towards the pub for hosting these people. They also had their own friends to rely on creating buzz by participating. It was even surprising to hear Astrid and Brianna wanting to participate, but they just wanted to help out through their own kindness.
