The Calm Before The Galactic Storm

Coming off a pretty harrowing visit to her favorite cafe last time around, LAW's resident Galaxy Cat was eager to enjoy some well-earned downtime. She made sure to go to a different location this time around, lest she attract the attention of yet another heel wrestler who sought to stalk her.

No, today would be a nice, chill, relaxing chat and bite to eat with a woman she had been meaning to pass the time with for quite a while now!

Clad in a simple ensemble of some flattering burgundy red leggings and a tye-dyed crop hoodie that showed off her midriff (not to mention her signature wrestling mask), Aurora sat at a booth in the store with a cup of iced hibiscus tea in hand. She takes a long sip before letting out an exhale. She then pulls out her phone from her hoodie pocket.

Silly me! In all my excitement to hang out, I got here a bit early

No rush, of course! Take your time. I got seats for us and they're not going anywhere

Want me to order something for you while you're on your way?

Estrella sent this text to her friend and put her phone back in her pocket. A warm, contented smile formed on her face. Lately there has been so much training, so many matches, so much action....Not that the lightweight luchadora was averse to any of that, of course. She simply smiled to herself with the satisfaction of finally getting a chance to just chill without having to worry about running into another Piper or another Arachne or any other sort of ambush.

Alizeh hummed softly as she walked on the sidewalk, dressed super casually in a pair of blue jeans, red converse sneakers, and a plain white crop t-shirt that showed off her stomach a bit. Checking her phone as she walked Alizeh saw that she had a message from who she was meeting and saw it was in fact early. Perfect as far as she was concerned since it meant that she'd be making it to the cafe soon enough.

"Hey girl! No worries I didn't have much going on today so I was on my way anyways lmao No need to order me anything though, I'm legit rounding the corner now. see ya in a minute

Honestly this is just what Alizeh needed. After failing to win the openweight title at apex, and then losing against Kyoko at fight the LAW, she needed a purely casual and fun interaction for a bit. This one in particular was one that she had been wanting to do for a long time, and she was glad to finally be getting this opportunity.

Coming upon the cafe Alizeh would smile as she pushed open the door and turned, looking for Aurora before smiling brightly at the masked wrestler. "Aurora hi!" Alizeh said aloud as she walked towards the table and took a seat, happily beaming at the woman as she reached out to fist bump her.

"I'm SO glad that we're finally able to do this, feels like a long time coming ya know?" Alizeh said with a happy smile, the waitress coming over to take their orders which Alizh would do before sitting back to let Aurora do her own order before formulating a response to her greetings.

Though Aurora was feeling a bit out of sorts, seeing Alizeh's bright-eyed smile brought her all the comfort and peace she needed in that very moment! Heads everywhere around the cafe turned when the fit greenette in the crop top came in through the door! Alizeh had this certain glow about her. She practically lit up the room. She reminded Aurora a lot of Kat Hart.

"Alizeh!" Aurora placed both hands on the table in front of her and rose out of her seat. Her heterochromatic eyes widened with the happiness she felt from seeing her friend!

The petite masked gal approached to give Midori a quick hug before taking a seat across from her. Aurora let out a huge sigh of relief as she sat down. It took her just a second longer than usual to register that the waitress was trying to take their order.

"Oh! Tea for me, please! Jasmine, if you have. And....a blueberry scone." Estrella pieced her order together while spying the menu in her peripheral vision.

Once Alizeh placed her order and the waitress took off, Aurora would let out an exhale before visibly relaxing her shoulders.

"Oh, it's absolutely been a long time coming! Thanks so much for coming out! It feels good to be with you! It feels good to relax. Phew. Can you believe this is the first time in months that I've been able to just be myself outside my house or locker room... without getting mauled by another wrestler, haha. My goodness, I love LAW but this life is rough sometimes...." Aurora trailed off with her elbows on the table, her hands cupping her own cheeks as she tried to unwind a bit, feeling safe in Alizeh's company.

Hugging Aurora back with a bright smile Alizeh would follow the masked wrestler back to the booth she had taken and sit down across from her with a wry grin on her face, glad to be able to spend time with the Swat Kat member. Partially cause she knew that the two would gel and click well, but also because she was excited to connect with someone that was a LAW original.

Since she had come in as sort of a 'next wave' of LAW talent so it was good to make connection with someone like Aurora. The fact that she was a Luchadora, smart, and really dang cute were all just icing on the cake for the greenette that almost made her ignore the waitress waiting to take her order. "Oh right, I'll have a mocha with extra cream and a chocolate croissant please." Alizeh said placing her order before turning back to Aurora as she began to vent about some of the issues she's been having making Alizeh chuckle.

"Hehe, nah I getcha, LAW is full of weirdos and bullies trying to run rough shot over us, that's why people like us need to stick together." Alizeh said brightly to Aurora before getting a cheeky idea and reaching out to gently grab hold of one of Aurora's hands and pulling it towards her, squeezing the girl's hand comfortingly. "In fact people tend to think twice before messing with me backstage, so if you're ever worried just find me and I'll protect ya." Alizeh said with a wink to the Galaxy Cat.

Aurora smiled warmly when Alizeh squeezed her hand. She began to blush very faintly after the wink.

"You're my knight in shining armor, Alizeh." Estrella's smile widened. She curled her fingers and gripped Alizeh's hand to reciprocate the cute gesture.

"Wrestling will always be home to some rather odd, colorful, characters. Perhaps more so at LAW than at other companies." Estrella began to think aloud.

"Maybe it was silly of me to think that most of us wrestlers would be willing to listen to reason or at least settle their conflicts in the ring. You're right about us needing to stick together. The bullies like to come after the cute ones, after all, hehe~." Aurora looked into Alizeh's eyes.

"You can call on me anytime, too, of course. Being a SWAT Cat does come part in parcel with getting targeted left, right, and center. But whenever I'm not in need of backup, I'll be happy to be there for you, Alizeh. Whether it's backstage or in a lovely coffee shop like this one."

Right on cue, the waitress would arrive with Aurora's tea and Alizeh's mocha. Aurora would put her hands together in excitement for their warm beverages.

Alizeh giggled and flashed another wink at Aurora as she was called her knight in shining armor. "Anytime, anywhere princess." Alizeh said in a flirty tone once again while running her thumb over Aurora's fingers while listening to her lament. "Yeah. Barring some exceptions most wrestlers will always be kinda wild and reckless, the type to act first and think later, we just have to deal with it best we can." Alizeh said pulling her hand back as Aurora did the same, in part do to their order arriving.

"Oh awesome thanks!" Alizeh said to the waitress, taking her small pastry and drink while turning to look at Aurora as she made her own return offer for her and the Kats to have her back. "Thank you kindly as well. If I ever need it, I'll be sure to call yall." Alizhe said while taking a sip of her drink before suddenly getting a thought.

"Althoughhhhh I have to say would you be so willing to answer if I called you for.... something else?" Alizeh asked batting her eye lashes for a moment while taking a bite of her food, allowing the open ended statement to hang in the air for a moment before speaking up again. "Specifically... a match between us." Alizeh said taking another sip and this time waiting to see how Aurora would respond.

Alizeh's grasp on Aurora's hand seemed to be quite soothing. The Galaxy Cat was practically purring while enjoying her friend's company. The tea and the sweets were the figurative icing on the cake!

"Mhmm!" Aurora nodded as she followed suit with Alizeh and took some nibbles of her scone and some sips of her tea.

But Estrella paused when Alizeh began to bat her eyes. The flirty tone her friend was taking with Aurora was beginning to make her blush.

"For something else...?" Aurora asked. The masked lightweight blinked a few times, herself. The light caught her heterochromatic eyes in a flattering, cute angle.

Normally, Aurora's mind would race in situations like this. But seeing as how it was Alizeh, she had full confidence that her friend's intentions were pure.

"Anything you need, Alizeh." She answered confidently.

"Ohhhhhhh~!" Aurora set her drink down and answered with pleasant surprise. The smile on her face widened. She began to blush again.

"Why, it would be honor and pleasure! A friendly contest with someone I can trust, someone I like - that sounds like exactly what I need right about now. Less Piper and Ashfords and more Alizeh Midori in my life, haha." Aurora chuckled.

"Maybe we can make it a bit more interesting. Fans on social media were really buying into the whole Galactic Storm hashtag, you know?" Aurora raised her index finger.

"What say you if I....volunteered a stipulation? If you can beat me you can have me...." Aurora took a second to catch herself and how that sentence might come across.

"O-oh-oh no! You can have me as a tag team partner, I mean! Haha. Sorry for how that came out. I meant to say that if you can beat me, I'll tag with you, anytime, anywhere." Aurora tried to recover. Her hands raced for her tea and she took a long sip as she tried to reclaim just a little bit of composure and poise.

Alizeh made her challenge. Maybe a bit of a surprising one given they had just got done venting about getting roped into some bullshit and less than pleasant opponents. However in a way this was part of a remedy to that. They both liked and respected each other, and Alizeh was being up front with her challenge which is what both wanted and it was clear that Aurora reciprocated.

Smiling as the luchadora accepted the challenge Alizeh would raise her eyebrow as the Galaxy Cat pivoted and suggested a... stipulation of some kind. "Oh?" Alizeh asked out of curiosity before listening to Aurora's suggestion, wagging her eyebrows at the first part before nodding. "Alright... I can dig that. But what do you want if you win?" Alizeh asked playfully, leaning forward on her elbows and blinking rapidly at Aurora as she awaited a answer.

Aurora was usually quite well-composed. She was good at keeping her poise, but Alizeh seemed to have a way of catching her off guard. When the greenette leaned in and kept up the eye contact, Aurora couldn't help but blush a bit more.

"Heh..." Estrella looked away briefly.

"Honestly, not much. Sharing the ring with you, with someone I can trust, someone I can be proud to be on the same roster as....that's quite the honor in and of itself, heheh~" The masked lightweight smiled.

"If I win....I guess I would like...another match with you...if you'll have me, of course~" Estrella finished with a wink.

Alizeh smiled softly at Aurora, despite the topic they were talking about neither were getting particularly caught up in competitive drive or a desire to trash talk. Granted competitiveness was definitely an undertone, but it was swept up in the undertones of respect and appreciation for one another. Something that Alizeh was A ok with as a change of pace from what she was used too when it came to setting up matches in LAW.

Plus seeing the reaction she had on Aurora was rather disarming and downright cute it she had to say it. Although hearing Aurora's rather genuine reaction to her question Alizeh would blink and nod. "I see... in that case..." Alizeh said, putting her cup down and leaning her chin on her hands in front of Aurora to look her square in the eyes.

"It sounds like our interests are pretty aligned.. and no matter who wins we both get what the other would want either way... so sounds like a plan to me beautiful." Alizeh said with a wink before lifting herself back up and grabbing her cup to take another sip of her drink.
