Shadow Courtship (for Bare)

Mara Ashford was looking forward to this. Having won the bout and wager with Finlay Zeffer, her fellow Shadow Fortress alumnus and her crush, Mara would be going out with him in a date. Of course, even if she lost to him in that match, she would still be having a date with him, only with her paying for the date. Dressed for the occasion, Mara was going to rendezvous with him.

Mara Casual

Mara didn't have to wait long that when Finlay finally arrived, Mara smiled cutely at him and said, "Ah, hello! What do you think?" She asked as she did a twirl, showing herself off to Finlay. Then, winking and sticking out her tongue, she asked him, "So, are you ready for our date, Finlay?" She was excited and looking forward to spend some precious time with the handsome New Zealander.

Finlay was... nervous. A feeling he couldn't say he had often. But this was a bit of a different circumstance than normal, after all he wasn't exactly used to dates or anything like that, and it figured that his first was with someone he actually quite liked. Wearing a pretty simple red polo shirt and black pants for his date Finlay would soon find himself standing before Mara who somehow looked even better than when he saw her with less on.

"Hello Mara." He said a bit tensely before gulping and smiling, trying to relax a bit. "You look amazing." He said smiling softly before holding his hand out to her. "I am, have you decided where you want me to take you?" He asked the girl, fully ready to treat her to the best of his abilities.

Mara was excited as she smiled brightly at Finlay. "Haha, thank you..." Mara said, making a rather coquettish expression before she accepted his hand. "And you look rather dashing today." Well, Mara sure enjoyed looking at Finlay's shirtless body, though she also enjoyed seeing him in clothes too. Drawing herself close to the New Zealander, Mara then answered his question.

"Well, I'm planning for us to go to the amusement park today." Mara said. "If you don't mind, of course. Since you're paying for our expense today." Mara said playfully, sticking her tongue out as she winked at him.

Needless to say it wasn't often Finlay went on dates. Hell he'd only recently started to get into.. intimate situations with a specific few fellow wrestlers. So his flirting game was not exactly on point. But he was at least adept enough compliment his date well, and in turn getting one of his own. Though he wasn't as smooth as Mara in terms of replying. "Oh uh.. ahem thank you Mara I uh.." He said, not quite stuttering but definitely unsure of how to respond.

Luckily Mara gave him an easy way out by answering his question about where they were going which, thankfully he did have a solid idea on how to respond. "Of course, I'm a man of my word after all, so if that's what you'd like to do then no argument from me there." He said with a nod and small smile as they began to walk towards the amusement park which didn't seem to be too far away since it was in eyesight.

Mara smiled happily as she would then link her arm with Finlay. They moved towards the amusement park where they would have fun together. It didn't take long for them before they arrived at the amusement park. Now that they were there, it was time for them to buy the tickets for themselves.

"Two tickets for adults, please." Mara said before she looked at Finlay expectantly, because he would be the one paying. Not that the tickets were expensive to begin with, of course. After buying the tickets, Mara would enter the amusement park with Finlay, eyes sparkling in excitement.

"So, Finlay... which one do we go first?" Mara asked Finlay. There were quite a few attractions here in this amusement park, from the carousel to the haunted house. There were also the Ferris wheel and the roller coaster in this amusement park.

The walk to the amusement was pleasant to say the least. Relatively silent but not in awkward way. Something that only made sense given the time they spent with each other as is. Upon reaching the ticket stand to the park however Finlay would let Mara do the majority of the talking given she was definitely the more extroverted between them. Besides he was handling the finances anyways so it seemed like a fair trade.

Smirking wryly at her as they entered he couldn't help but find her excitement endearing, and that sparkle in her eyes near intoxicating. A rare feeling for the New Zealander but not an unwelcome one. Upon asked what to do first though he would hum. "I'm probably a bit too... serious for a haunted house, and I think I'd look silly on a carousel, so either the ferris wheel or roller coaster is fine by. Though I think the ferris wheel is a bit more.. standard for romantic outings." He said, running through the options aloud before looking at his date. After all this was ultimately her day and so he'd let her have the final say.

Mara listened to Finlay as to where to go first. Tilting her head, she also gave it some thoughts before she came up with a decision. "Well, I have decided that we should get on the roller coaster first. We can save Ferris wheel for later." She winked at the New Zealander after saying that. "Also, I've always wanted to try out roller coaster." She looked at the aforementioned attraction. "I've never tried roller coaster before. Mom and Ryan don't particularly like roller coaster because of their size, and Toni's scared of roller coaster." She told Finlay.

Finlay chuckled softly at what Mara said but nodded none the less at her decisions. "Roller coaster it is then." He said with an affirmative nod before starting to walk with her in that direction, but there was one thing he felt like commenting on. "Ryan and Dana I get since it'd be awkward for their body types, but Toni is the high flyer between you two right? I'm a little surprised she's the one scared of roller coasters between you two." He admitted, somewhat surprised at the factoid. After all despite his rather close relationship with Mara, and having immense respect for the rest of the Ashfords he really didn't know that much about many of them personally.

Mara giggled as she listened to Finlay's comment. "Well, she's never the one to admit that, of course. I mean, she's always going to act tough, even when she's afraid of something." Mara said. Then, she tugged on Finlay's arm. "Come on, let's get going now." She urged the New Zealander. She would then pull him towards the attraction. It wouldn't take long for them to wait before it was their turn. Mara seemed to be very excited as she would get on the roller coaster together with Finlay.

"Are you ready, Finlay?" Mara asked, looking very giddy and excited.

Finlay nodded, and even chuckled a bit at what Mara had said regarding her sister. "Hehe, that is true, she always seems like the type to not want to show any weakness. I respect that." He admitted, looking up in time to see that they were just about next. Looking down at his date as she asked if he was ready he would smile a bit more warmly before nodding. "Oh yeah, let's do this." He said with some gusto before leading the two towards the furthest back car, what the rest already being filled up.
