The Hunt for the Quintessential Canvas (Katherine Hart/Ying Tao)

Unread post by winner3 »

Within LAW, every wrestler had their own idiosyncrasies and inclinations. They varied wildly from many who lived their gimmicks within their everyday lives to many who led such normal lives outside of the ring that you might not have guessed they were wrestlers if you saw them out in the street. Katherine Hart, having taken up the responsibilities that come with wearing the mask and assuming the role of a highly traditional luchadora, could often be found both inside and outside the ring with the signature purple Super Kitty mask covering her blonde head. The only exceptions to this being when she attempts to blend into a crowd or when she wants to avoid being spotted or stopped by fans.

This outing sadly, wasn't much of an exception. While clad in her full ring gear, Katherine had sought to earn some measure of reprieve away from the bright lights and loud noises of the LAW stadium and away from the innumerable wrestlers that would seek to best her both in and out of the ring. The famed heavyweight superstar would find herself a few blocks over at a small pond, secluded pond area. She had just finished wrestling a hard-fought match against another luchadora. After defeating Gato, the Mexican Wondercat, Kat took a seat on the grass. With her back to the tiny body of water and no one occupying the are in any conspicuous way, the curvy blonde would lean back and close her eyes.
Katherine Hart
"This is one of the few spots I have left. Where I can just kinda hang out and be alone...." Hart explained to herself as she laid there and began to close her eyes. The LAW doctors had seen her after the match just a couple of hours ago. They informed her that she'd be fine and ready to compete in a few days with just some rest. And being the hard-working, well-loved wrestler she was, she intended to follow that advice by coming to a place she could be alone and rest for a while in the serenity of nature before heading home, hopefully uninterrupted...

At first glance, this pond could have easily been misinterpreted as a natural wonder. It had been blessed with lush green fields, a cool yet gentle breeze, and a grove thick enough to drown out the bustling sounds of the city. One could not be blamed for believing this marvel of nature lacked any true faults. However upon directing the eyes towards the pond itself, the cracks in that perfect image became clear. The water, formerly so crystal clear that the surface could make a perfect reflection of the night sky, had been tainted. It was now carbon black in color and upon closer inspection, reeked of ebonite.

As did the arms and hair of the culprit who began to silently rise from the corrupted pool.
Ying Tao

The pond had been been turned from a beautiful body of water to a congested bath of ink by Ying only a few days ago, and she had been waiting within its rather shallow depths for nearly two hours now. Her masked target had only just arrived after what felt like an eternity, and Ying watched as Katherine laid down on grass and began to relax. She seemed blissfully unaware of the ink-covered amazon steadily and quietly trekking through the pond; granted she had just finished a very long and winding match so would make sense if her senses were partially exhausted. An eerie grin crept across Ying's mouth, one that grew larger with each passing step. This was turning out exactly as she had envisioned.

The Goddess of Ink had been stalking Katherine for several weeks now. Subtly gathering info on her target until she knew everything from the Super Kitty's match schedule, home address, and of course favorite relaxation spots. From the day she joined LAW and saw the Katherine for the first time, Ying knew this canvas was in a league of its own. From the smoothness of her skin to the curves of her hips, everything about the luchadora's body was impeccable and practically begging for Ying's brush. Initially the prodigious painter planned to challenge Katherine to a Prisoner of War match and take her prize the traditional, and more importantly legal, way. However if there was anything to take away from her last match against an experienced heavyweight, Ying was still too much of a greenhorn in the ring to take somebody as skilled as Kat head on. The lack of experience was not too big of a factor against lighter fighters, but against somebody in her weight class it made a world of a difference. Of course while training and taking on wrestlers around her skill level in order to improve certainly was an option, it was one that Ying had no patience for. The gods had presented her with a splendid canvas whose pure blank beauty rivaled her existing masterpieces! The will to create clouded the aesthete's thoughts until every waking thought she had was about that masked beauty! She would not be denied the opportunity to develop a revolutionary masterpiece just because of something as minuscule as wrestling experience! In order to satiate her divine artistic drive and attain her newest canvas the Goddess of Ink needed to do things the old fashioned way: she needed to kidnap Katherine.

With the luchadora still completely ignorant of her presence and now drifting to sleep with the serenade of the wind acting as her lullaby, Ying finally reached the shore of the pond and began to reach out. Her ink-coated fingers would gradually make their way over Katherine's neck, ready to capture their target at a moment's notice. The prestigious painter would prepare to not only choke the Super Kitty out, but drag her headfirst into the pool of ink behind them! With no witnesses in sight and the glade of trees preventing any sounds from leaving the area, Ying's silent assault would have been perfect if not for a single drop of ink that fell down from her hair and towards Kat's cheek...

Having established herself in quite a few regards, Katherine had something of a bounty at LAW. Ying wasn't the first aspiring new wrestler that sought to exploit Katherine's status, stature, fame, and beauty for her own personal gain or to advance her own career. People had been gunning for the Super Kitty since before she set foot in LAW. There were few other faces (pun intended) that someone like the prodigal painter could hope to topple to kickstart at the onset of their LAW career to make a lasting impression. But the famed luchadora's reputation was well-deserved and hard-earned. Very few women on the roster would step into the ring with Katherine Hart genuinely expecting to emerge victorious. And it was for that very reason that many of those same women opted to come at the curvy heavyweight on their own terms, and even still with varying degrees of success. Enter, Ying Tao.

To date, no one had gone through the effort of conducting such a premeditated, calculated ambush on the busty blonde bombshell. Rivaling Kat in both size, curvature, and endurance, Ying certainly had the makings of a star in the making. But this diamond in the rough sought to leverage her talents for her own psychotic, selfish desires. Her ability to aggressively stalk her targets was second to none. All these weeks, Katherine was privy to none of it. When she was in the gym, when she was relaxing at home or near work, when she received documents confirming her opponents and match schedule, Ying caught wind of it. The brunette beauty watched from afar, carefully plotting and painting a perfect plan to bring about this very moment, to claim for herself her most prized canvas yet! All without Kat's knowledge!

It was all a very impressive effort in its own right, ignoring the moral implications. As the soft breeze whisked past the quaint, deserted enclosure, Ying emerged from her cleverly subtle ink pool and strode towards the unsuspecting, napping luchadora, the circumstances were noteworthy. Few would pass up the chance to get the drop on Kat uncontested. Weeks of darn-near perfect preparation and covert stalking were about to pay off!

But in the heat of the moment, there was but one small misstep that would clue the Super Kitty in! As she laid there on her back in the serene comfort of the grass beneath her, her toned, curvy frame only lightly dampened from the sweat of wrestling her previous match maybe 15 minutes ago, a single drop of what felt like water fell upon her mask! The luchadora would raise her hand out of instinct. Her slumber would be monetarily interrupted as her palm brushed past her form-fitting purple leotard and toward her face.

"Rain?" The esteemed wrestler asked herself in a soft tone as she began to open her eyes and come to. It only took a second for her to widen her eyes with a look and sense of urgency that communicated alarm! It would only take another couple seconds for Kat to begin trying to quickly roll away a couple rotations, granting her unknown assailant a brief window to close the distance and go for the throat both literally and metaphorically!
