Pains and Gains

Wednesday was the middle of the week and probably the only day where Francesca Douglas was free of any commitments. There were no conventions, matches, or appearances because traditionally it was the worst day to do those things. What Wednesday was good for was to relax but her initial foray into the Japanese wrestling scene had been fraught with antagonists. Though she shouldn't have been too surprised. She was willing to step on some toes to establish herself and build her brand.

Fran winced as she broke her train of thought to dip in another squat. The weights slightly rattled as the blonde dipped, keeping her form. She could feel the burn in her legs now as she pushed to stand back up, bringing the weight up. Eager to release the yoke on her shoulders, she accidentally slammed the bar against the rack causing the frame to rattle. "Ow." Fran uttered, wiping her forehead with her forearm. She looked herself over the mirrored wall, turning and looking at her legs.

Nice, she was making gains. She was going to need them if she was stumbling into taking on the whole roster at LAW just to boost her brand. Speaking of, she should really read that email her Alex sent her. Her agent had worked all week to crunch the numbers on just how well she surged in the market here. While she wasn't vain, fame was a measure of her success. She had money so what else could she try and achieve and how to measure that? The answer had to be fame.

Stepping over to the mirror, she bent over and picked up her phone and towel. She wiped her hands and threw it around the back of her neck while she worked on pulling up her emails. She flicked through until she found her agent's email with the file. There was almost no market presence in Japan before she had announced her run at LAW. Her television show was a little more grounded in Americana so it made sense why Southeast Asia wouldn't really engage with it. Now, however, she was doing numbers in South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. This wasn't clout chasing, but brand building. The craziest thing was she was already in talks with getting her show dubbed over here in Japan. She'd turn down filming something new but she'd love if a completely different generation of kids got to see the great Frannie the Vampire Slayer in their native language!

Fran locked in on her phone, oblivious to the rest of the gym. It was mostly empty so she didn't think much of it...
