As the thought of Lyra crept back into her head, Sanae blushed hard, looking off into the horizon. What had she just gotten herself into - and what would Lyra think? The whole reason she wound up in this predicament to begin with was because she had a lapse in judgment, and she felt like she failed her girlfriend in the process. For a time, Alizeh had been able to drown out those thoughts in the heat of competition...but the moment Sanae was reminded of her drunken shenanigans, everything came flooding back to her. And now, the thought that she would be competing in a POW match had amplified everything tenfold.

She realized that even this far into her relationship with Lyra, the two of them had never really been that...well, intimate. Sure, they'd kissed, and they'd announced their relationship to the world to plenty of support, but they still hadn't taken things that far. And yet, here Sanae was, already volunteering herself for a POW match - knowing full well how those tended to go? What if things got out of hand, and her first time wasn't even with her own girlfriend? Sanae didn't know what she'd do with herself then. She let out a long sigh, her shoulders slumping under the weight of guilt.

But...the thought of taking Alizeh on once again was exciting. And even more so was the thought of facing Alizeh with something on the line. The two of them had only grown stronger and more skilled with every match under their belt, and holding themselves up to such stakes would give them an extra push to reach toward their full potential. It was the thrill of competition that underpinned everything, of course - she just hoped Lyra would recognize that.

Although...she did suppose that POW matches didn't necessarily involve anything sexual. All in all, Sanae realized, this was a discussion to be had with Lyra. She had to figure out what the fortune teller was comfortable with. They'd come far enough - they were ready to have that conversation. And, maybe, see what else lay in store...

Finally, Sanae cleared her throat and sat up a little straighter as she came back down to reality. "Sorry about that," she said. "But...if I can, I wanna do it. Just to see what we can do when we really challenge ourselves!" In her enthusiasm, she pumped a fist in the air. The more she thought about it, the wider her smile grew. At the end of the day, all she and Alizeh cared about was encouraging one another to keep improving and to keep pushing their limits. And Sanae wanted to keep that going!

Alizeh knew that Sanae's relationship with Lyra may complicate things, and admittedly she felt a little bad suggesting the prisoner of war match with that in mind, but the momentum and tension of the moment had caught her, and it was too late to back down now. Besides, it seemed Sanae had come to terms with things as well, which meant that for now.. they would just have to wait and see. Nodding at what Sanae said Alizeh would nod while looking up at her with a smile. "Don't worry about it, and we will, I'm looking forward to it!" Alizeh said with a smile and just as she did a loud pop went off a long with explosions of colors to their side, the firework show having started. Smiling Alizeh decided to lean back against the tree, pulling Sanae down against her so that the two could relax and watch the fireworks as friends.. before they fought once more as rivals.

Sanae had a lot on her mind, and even as she stared out on the horizon, there were a lot of thoughts buzzing around her head. On one hand, she knew that her rivalry with Alizeh had pushed her to many great accomplishments and motivated her to make strides in her career. If they were to go at it again, with more on the line than ever before, it would surely give both of them the extra push to go beyond whatever limits they thought they had. The thought of that was enough to make Sanae quiver with excitement. She wasn't quite sure if she would have found the same success she enjoyed now, were it not for her first match with Alizeh inspiring her to go the extra mile - or Alizeh's encouragement after the match making her all the more eager to pursue her destiny, for that matter. Sanae's success as an idol had been propelled by her success as a wrestler, and her success as a wrestler perhaps hinged upon how Alizeh had managed to inspire her to take her craft to great new heights. She could only imagine where they could go from there.

At the same time...the implications of her and Alizeh facing off in a POW match couldn't be denied, and the elephant in the room that was her relationship with Lyra still hung heavy over everything. She couldn't help but feel some guilt over wanting something like this, when it seemed as though she and Lyra had barely done anything as a couple. She knew she would have to have a conversation about that - and maybe it was time for her to step up and take charge in her relationship more to prevent Lyra from feeling left out. She could only hope that the fortune teller would be receptive to that conversation. But she had to have hope, and look on the bright side - it could well take their relationship new and better places.

For now, though? All those things were too far off in the future to worry about. As Alizeh reminded her, all they had to worry about was the here and now. And right now, Sanae could enjoy what she had come here for in the first place. Sitting back, relaxing, getting away from her hectic life, and enjoying a slice of paradise right here. With a sigh, she let herself sink back against the tree. And when she heard the first pops of the fireworks going off, she sat up a little straighter and let out a cheer. This was no time for worrying. She was here to enjoy herself!
