Love in the Kitchen

Unread post by Deskfan45 »

Maya Jones had lived a hard life. As a pre teen, she'd run away from an orphanage in Des Moines, and rented a house from a sleazy landlord. She grew up poor and alone, not having many friends in school, and getting into fights every day. What fun she did have was partying, drinking, and sex. She was irresponsible, belligerent, and stupid, and she paid for it when she wound up pregnant at 16 years of age. In the years that followed, she had to grow up fast and work hard for her baby. And she did work hard, hard enough that she was able to get into college, and one day, become a nurse. It was through hard work that she earned a better life for her and her daughter, and it was through hard work that she was one day able to get out of the slums. Through all her life's experiences, Maya could feel great empathy towards the poor and the homeless, and she took every opportunity she had to help those in need. It was that outlook on life that lead her to be here, at a homeless shelter on one Wednesday morning, flipping pan cakes in the kitchen.

She hummed to herself as she watched the pancakes bubble up, before turning them over, and soon moving them on to a plate. Doing this made her feel good inside, giving someone else something that at one point in time, she desperately needed. But that wasn't the only thing making Maya smile right now. Sharing the kitchen with her was quite the beautiful woman with long, flowing, curly blonde hair. As the two women cooked, they found themselves looking at each other often, peeking at one another, checking the other out, and exchanging sultry smiles when their eyes occasionally met. The next time Maya caught the woman looking at her, she finally spoke: "And what are you looking at~?" She asked, her tone making her more playful intentions clear.

Oriana's life had been a little too easy. Born into an aristocratic family with more money than sense, to say that she had a privileged start in life was an understatement to say the least. She had always been a looker too, which was yet another reason why people always seemed glued to her. Even after leaving the family home at 18, she was a magnet to not only other people, but troublemakers too. It was a miracle she wasn't robbed, got brought into prostitution, or worse yet, murdered. Thankfully, she avoided all that, and she was always looking for a way to earn money, and not have it given to her on a platter. At 18, she got a small apartment and started job hopping after getting an education. Unfortunately, nothing really suited her until she heard about LAW and its quirks. She was betrothed, and moved immediately to start anew.

Upon arriving, she quickly got a job at the local homeless shelter, helping the needy with food. What's better was, she shared the kitchen with another wonderful woman, who seemed to be quite skilled at cooking. She was rather clumsy, so dropped things occasionally, which gave her an opportunity to look at the woman's beauty from all angles, not that she didn't notice. The other woman was clearly interested in her, so they exchanged smiles and winks, as if they were silently flirting to one another. Eventually, the other woman broke the silence. "Oh, nothing sweetie, don't mind me, i was, erhem, distracted." She said in a rather sultry way, before walking away to prepare another batch of pancakes.

Maya had shared this kitchen with the blonde for days, but the two hadn't really made conversation until now, save for the little looks they gave each other. Maya was happy to finally break that silly little barrier. "Do you get distracted often, dear?" She asked, smirking as she brushed her hand up her hip. "You really should do better to focus on cooking, hon." She teased. Even though this was their first time speaking, the two had worked together side by side and exchanged smiles enough to be fairly comfortable around one another.

Oriana was happy now that the ice had been broken. She had always had issue breaking into first time conversations with other hot women, not knowing how they would react to her talking to her. It soothed her mind when Maya started to play along with her. As she made the next batch of pancakes and started to serve them out on the plates, she smiled at Maya once again. "Well, its always been a quirk of mine. I am easily distracted by things. I really should fix that, hehe!" She giggled and looked at the orders that she had been given via the servers "Looks like we just need 3 more lots, and we are done for the night. Got anything on tonight dear?" She asks cutely, before prepping the next batch.
