Coming Clean (for CaptainL)

William was about to protest against Meiyun’s claims about knowing what or wasn’t championship material, but Jonathan interjected himself getting up and staring down Meiyun. “Kid, you got lots of help and you’re practically top of your class. I think your focus should be on becoming championship material rather than wondering what makes it. It’s rather subjective. Focus on doing your best.”

William wiped his brow and flashed a smile at his friend for displaying his own educational wisdom and Jonathan scratched his chin remembering something from earlier. He snapped his fingers before heading for the kitchen bringing back a medium-sized cardboard package.

“By the way, this came in the mail. I didn’t want to open it until you two returned from the store and I hid it away so no one else accidentally opened it,” Jonathan stated.

William was now curious as to this new package they all had stumbled upon as he got his pocket knife from the nightstand and started cutting into the tape. Will opened the package and saw a letter inside along with a promotional CD inside of a plastic bag. He opened the envelope and cleared his throat to read over the contents to himself before he widened his eyes.

“Holy crap! Hank just used his connections to Saban and booked us roles in a Power Rangers movie!” William exclaimed.

Meiyun blinked a few times, staring back at Jonathan. She let the words sink in for a moment, but as she did, a smile came over her face and she sat up a little straighter. Was she really at the top of her class? She'd never really thought about it that way...but if it was true, she'd wear it like a badge of honor. It meant that her fighting spirit and her will to succeed had carried her through to accomplish incredible things! And of course, she would always have faith in doing her best. If she was going to approach a situation, she was going to put every bit of herself into it, and strive to give it her all. That was a motto she lived by, and hearing her trainer tell that to her only told her that she was on to something! "Yeah, that's right!" she cheered, pumping a fist in the air. "No mater what happens, I'm always gonna do my best - with that attitude, I'm gonna be championship material one way or another, some day!"

Sheila, meanwhile, looked back at her with a brief pause. "...Actually. I think she meant that you aren't a lightweight."

"Shh," Meiyun cut in. That was, in fact, what she meant - but she would let herself have this.

In any case, everyone's attention was drawn back to Jonathan as he walked back into the room with a package. And although everyone was still enthralled by what was going on on the screen, there were few things more irresistable than the allure of what a mysterious package might contain. They crowded around the box to get a closer look - and when Jonathan read from the letter, everyone gasped. Their interest was only even further piqued!

"Whoah, seriously-!? That's AWESOME!" Sheila cheered. She ran around behind Jonathan, trying to get a better look at the letter. "C'mon, c'mon!! What's it say?"

Molly also got up, though her attention turned to the CD in the box. "Okay, Moni's gonna LOVE hearing this. She's always talked about how she wants us to have roles in the movies some day...it sounds fun, too!"

"Power Rangers, huh?" Brianna leaned in a little closer. "They must know who they're dealing with, because I always did want to be a Power Ranger. I mean, I was, like...six at the time. But still-!"

Jonathan had to practically keep Sheila in place to prevent her from accidentally snatching the letter from his hands. He knew that Hank had established some connections with the general public and Hollywood. While they wouldn’t be getting any breaking roles in prime time movies, Hank promised them that they would have some acting opportunities in any genre they felt they could do. It’s mostly a side job to get some extra cash and have a hobby while away from the ring. Many big wrestlers have acted on the side and even moved on to Hollywood once they retired.

William took out the CD and placed it in the player to start it up. What came on the disc was designs for the character that each actor/wrestler would play. For example, there was designs for Molly, Sheila, William, Oscar Orelash, and Astrid to take over as the new Power Rangers Zeo team. Furthermore, Harmonia, Gil, Teuila, and an actor named Benjamin Moore would take on new roles in the new Turbo Rangers. Jonathan and Brianna would be apart of Dino Thunder and Meiyun would be apart of the new Samurai team.

Seeing Jonathan try to keep the letter away from her, Sheila started to get the hint that she was getting a little ahead of herself - and as she rubbed the back of her head with a nervous chuckle, she took a step back, giving him some space. "Ah, heh...sorry, sorry! I got a bit ahead of myself there, I guess...just wanted to see what it said!"

"I think we might have the answers here," Molly added, as William got ready to load the CD in its player. And indeed, they wouldn't be disappointed - as concept art came up on screen for their new roles, they leaned in closer, eyes wide. Meiyun flashed a grin as she came into view, pumping a fist in the air. "Aww yeah, look at that! I'm gonna look so cool!~ Hey, you think they'll let me wear the outfit to the ring?"

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, there," Molly interjected - but she did, all the same, look off with a raise of her eyebrow. "But...it might be a good way to promote the project if that's something Hank and the crew wants."

As designs came by for some of the people not present, including Gil, Harmonia, and Teuila, Sheila tilted her head with confusion. "Hey, wait a minute...did someone tell all these people and not us?"

"I can't speak for the others," Astrid replied, "but I think they'll be the next to be informed. They probably sent a package to all of our addresses. We just happened to all be present at this one when William and I got ours."

"Yumi must be so confused right now," Meiyun mused aloud, rubbing her chin as her thoughts turned back to her roommate back in Japan.

"I do have to say, though," Brianna added, "I didn't expect that we'd all be a part of this. I guess...one way or another, we're gonna stick together, huh?" She chuckled a little bit at her own joke - but then, was it really a joke? Her friends and family seemed like they were growing closer by the day. And she smiled a little wider at the thought they could all embark on their next adventure together.

After the excitement that has been unfolding due to William announcing he has a daughter to discovering that they were going to have acting roles in the movies, everyone decided that the rest of their week would be a relaxing calm before the storm. They promised no more secrets and no more excuses when it came to topics among them. They would track down Sarabeth and reveal the truth to her once they got back to Japan. The future seemed brighter for William and Astrid as they were going to lay a 20-year journey for their daughter to rest. Only then would their family be complete.
