Dropping a Match in Gasoline

Sky slouched in her chair, crossing her legs with a smile. "Whole different feel, ain't it?" She pondered reminiscently, remembering the Summer sun on her skin, the cheaply made wrestling rings, the adrenaline rush of a light tube deathmatch... Ohhhh, sweet childhood memories. "God, it's funny lookin' back at where I started. I wrestled in backyards and rec center gyms in front of a couple dozen people. Now look at me, here in one a' the biggest promotions in the world. I'm up there with Kat Hart, Alaina Sanders, Ducky Williams, Sakura Hagiwara..." She smiled warmly. Those were all people she'd heard about as major stars when she was just a rookie back in 2018, and now she was on their level. That was fucking awesome. Over these four years, she'd gone from a scrappy, angry poor kid, to a feared force of nature.

The kind and friendly smile Alizeh had been wearing for both Sky and the fans suddenly dipped when she heard what Sky had said next. About being 'up there' with some of the biggest names in wrestling. As the last of the fans left Alizeh would turn to Skylar with an incredulous look on her face. "Uh Sky. I don't mean to be rude but, that's kind of a bold claim you just made." Alizeh said, knowing she would have to tread carefully given who it was she was speaking too... but she just couldn't let what Sky go without saying something in response.

"Like just cause you're in the same promotion as a big shot, doesn't make you a big shot.” Alizeh said, feeling more and more offended in hindsight as she spoke, all of which leaking into her voice as she did so. ”Honestly I’d say its way too early for you to compare yourself to any of the names you just listed.” Alizeh said far more bluntly with a frown on her face.

Skylar yawned as the line dissapeared for now, giving her and Alizeh some downtime to rest. Sky raised an eye brow as the greenette started to talk. "Huh?" She asked, before listening to what she had to say. The pen in her hand snapped, it's ink dripping onto her skin as Sky's lips curled into a snarl. She'd spent four long years of her life on this sport, pouring out her blood, sweat, and tears through it all to get where she was today. And Alizeh was undermining that. She thought this girl seemed cool, but she was just like everyone else. She was looking down on her. "Fuck's that sposed to mean?" She growled, trying to keep her cool.

'And there it is.' Alizeh thought to herself, practically seeing the fuse being lit in Sky before the brunette even responded, or rather snarled at what Alizeh had said about her. She had tried to be delicate and tactful, but even that was enough to set Sky off. 'Fine, I already know this is going to get bad, may as well not hold back.' Alizeh thought before turning to face Sky fully, looking directly into her eyes as she spoke. "I mean that as someone who's been at this twice as long as you, even I don't consider myself on the level of Alaina, or Kat, or Ducky, I still have a ways to go, and so do you considering well..." Here it was, Alizeh knew this would be like dropping a match in gasoline but its something she knew had to be said to Sky. "Well you still have a lot to work on, both in the ring and in general." Alizeh said bluntly, already bracing herself for whatever Sky would do next.

Skylar leaned back in her chair, turning her head to face Alizeh. She was seething at what the greenette was saying. "Yeah? Well who're you to decide that, huh? 'Least I ain't here on anyone's damn coat tails." She growled, going for a cutting remark. "Your mom was a legendary wrestler, right? Mine was a fuckin' prostitute. I didn't have coat tails to ride on, and yet I made it to the same place as you in half the damn time." She said, tapping the table. It never fucking ended, did it? No matter how far she went, people were always gonna look down on her. Didn't mean she couldn't cave their damn heads in.

"And y'know? Yeah. Putting myself up there with Alaina and Kat was a dumbass embellishment. But you just couldn't bear to let it go, could ya? You just had to cut me down, right?" She growled. Alizeh would learn the hard way that Skylar could be very touchy about things.

'There's the famous attitude.' Alizeh thought to herself with a click of her tongue as Sky went on a full triade on Alizeh for her comment. Just as Alizeh feared and expected. But it wasn't enough to just lash out at her, no Sky had to go and take it a step further, talking about how she rode her mom's coat tails to get here. Thats what did it for Alizeh. "Alright you wanna play it like this?" Alizeh asked rhetorically after smacking the table and turning to face Skylar full on.

"I didn't ride anyone's coat tails to get where I am." Alizeh said first and foremost to squash that comparison right out of the gate. "Quite frankly if thats what you're gonna use, get some better ammo, cause I've been hearing that same crap for years and better people than you have tried it against me." Alizeh said, and then, just cause she couldn't help herself. "Not that its a high bar mind you." She said, unable to restrain from taking that extra dig at Sky.

"Secondly." Alizeh said while leaning forward. "You're a self centered bitch who thinks the whole fucking world is simultaneously about you and out to get you, it reflects in every part of you, from you're wrestling, to your interactions with others, and hell even me!" Alizeh said laying into Skylar with her own personal beliefs about her.

"I wasn't trying to cut ya down when I said that, just trying to keep your ego in check cause i know how dangerous those can be, but you wanna fight? I've dealt with bigger and better bitches than you." At this Alizeh would stand from her seat and step closer to Sky, crouching if she had too to get in her face. "So bring it bitch." Alizeh said, just waiting to pounce if and when Skylar attacked.
