It's Just Business ( For Jalter )

For the love of Reinhardts, she was generous. Almost nicer than her ability to stomach it. Even the Earl Grey was preferable. To that, Karla shook her head lightly at the matter of additions. "Thank you, but I really like my tea pure. Earl Grey… it's an… interesting thing. But, yes, we do have a match." Very, very soon, actually."

She'd set the cup down back onto the living room table, then stood up as she's taken over by these short chuckles behind the back of her palm. That hand waved as she turned her back and strode towards the kitchen with slow and deliberate steps. "No no, nothing so flattering like that." Her chuckles rose to become obvious behind her hand, "My apologies. It's just that word, opposition. It's really funny that they think someone like me would consider others' opposition…"

Her posture dialled up narrow, and she turned on foot to face them, snapping her index and thumb, then pointing at them. "Do you think highly of yourself?"

Trinette would nod her head as she heard about their match being rather soon, she wondered why she hadn't heard about it yet...but perhaps this was LAW's way of breaking the news to her. She would take a breath to compose herself a little at learning this news, and then watched as Karla set the cup down. The blue haired girl would look on at the woman as she began to to walk towards the kitchen. Trinette would tilt her head, a bit confused as to what was going on now...

The words of Karla caused her to scrunch her eyebrows a bit. Wondering what exactly Karla meant with her words, she didn't want to assume that someone who so far had been acting rather civil had any intention of being rude right now. She would clear her throat a bit and place her tea cup down as if she was about to retort but then that snap of Karla's fingers came.

" Uhm...I would say I think so within measure." Trinette said as she would start to rise up to her feet. " Is there something you want to say? I get the feeling you are skirting around something."

“Within measure, huh?” That only convinced her of the opposite. Oh, how she judged them from afar. Now, Karla stood taller, trying to re-assert her professional composure with proper posture, arms folded and a slight smile. “I want to say many, many things right now. But for you, kleiner Hundchen, I hope to do something instead, and reach a deal with you.”

She said, then stepped forward. “I want to spare you from humiliation and offer financial compensation for you to throw our match. However much you like. Half now and half after. You could tell people you were sick, or perhaps off your game that night. We get in, we do a few holds, I knock you out, quick and painless, then do a proper, dignified pin with no fancy business or punishments. Before you know it, you’ll be a happy blue puppy buying themselves something less... Renaud. How does that sound to you?”

[Devastated]

Watching the redhead for the moment as she wanted to ascertain what exactly she meant by those words...until Karla basically spit it out. *...did she just call me a puppy dog?? * was a thought that blared through Trinette's head. Being well, rather French and having gone on plenty of trips through Europe, spending much of her time in Switzerland and Germany...she liked to think her German was at least good enough that she could live in the country with low to none at all in terms of language barrier problems.

As Karla stepped forward and got closer to her, talking about a deal. Trinette began to raise her eyebrows. This was as much of an insult as she had ever gotten by any woman before. Karla actually thought she could be bought off?! Gritting her teeth, Trinette balled her hands into fists, her hands turned red from the pressure she was putting into balling her fists.

Only for Karla to throw insults at Renaud?!...There was a deep silence that followed those words. The hands of Trinette turned white as she let out a deep breath. Eyes narrowed as she threw a death glare at Karla. " Get out, before I throw you out..." Trinette looked rather furious and it seemed as if she was physically restraining herself from just throwing a punch right into Karla's face.

There was always the chance they’d reject such a generous deal. Some people are just stupid. Helpless, and Karla couldn’t help that kind. Except for showing just how wrong they are. And it didn’t take long for the Reinhardt to discern their scorn. The teeth being bared like some rabid dog. They might as well foam at the mouth. And their fists, brandished at their sides, like blunt powerless knives. It didn’t shake her expression, no, it lured her in, so Karla wanted to stand face-to-face with this woman, listen, then sneer. “Tsk. Throw me out? Why such a rude response? It’s an offer that benefits you and I. Surely, you have enough.. Err.. maybe not the smarts, but common lesser-sense to see what am putting forth.”

Karla took another step and reached to cup their chin with her four fingers pressed gingerly underneath, and the thumb right below their bottom lip. “Don’t let my opportunity go to waste over your ugly, ugly pride. This is your only lifeline to save yourself from me.”

All Trinette was doing right now was holding in an urge to physically throw Karla out of her home. She had insulted her far too many times to simply get away with it, insulting her pride...even insulting Renaud. She had no reason to be cordial with this woman anymore. She had given her warning and as she stood there and waited for how Karla would respond. The woman made her actions known...

As Karla stepped up and grabbed a hold of her chin, after insulting her yet again. Her chin was cupped and....Trinette would send her right fist up, lighting fast that blunt force weapon would swing up and smack Karla right in the jaw! She had no reason to hold back so she hit with all the power she could muster, pouring all her rage into that one punch.

〝Tch!!〞The shot cracked off her jaw picture perfect. A snap between two contesting bones made for a clap, like an open-palmed slap over steady water. She looked towards the ceiling, forty-five degrees, dialled back a step and closed one eye. Her free hand grabbed a handful of her pants and twisted it into own palm. Slow and deep breaths crept out, the other eye opened and she hissed through her teeth. 〝Well…〞Her head re-aligned and the hand near their chin pulled back to brush against the wounded spot. The swelling felt so profound…〝It seems you’ve made your decision. A rather poor one at that, Hundchen. A true shame…〞She sighed, lowered her head and spat pink between their feet. 〝Your tea? mm, it’s atrocious..〞

Then she turned on her foot and trotted out the home, leaving the door open

That punch was sent almost by instinct by Trinette as she smashed it right into the face of Karla as she grabbed at the bluenette's chin. Watching Karla stagger back as her gaze was unflinching, staring a certain level of death glare at the woman who had been insulted her to no end so far. She watched as Karla brushed against her cheek, and then spoke out.

Trinette would only respond with a nod as she watched the redhead turn and leave, but not before she let another insult hang in the air. Clicking her tongue, Trinette marched over towards the door which Karla had left open and slammed it rather hard. She would let out a loud sigh...frustration had certainly set in and her heart was beating rapidly. She knew this feeling...it was familiar but more so from a distant memory. She was pissed off, she hadn't been this level of angry for a long time.

Renaud sauntered his way over towards his owner and as he did, letting out a soft whine as it was clear he didn't enjoying seeing her so frustrated. Trinette calmed down a bit, she knelt before her faithful pup and began to pet him and ruffle his fur a bit. She wasn't about to let this foul woman ruin the rest of her day.
