"JJ" Janella Johnson vs Karen Gale - Standard Match

JJ's face throbbed, and she saw Karen doing... something. She wasn't quite sure but she wasn't sure what to do. She thought it looked important or had some non-wrestling significance. She stood looking with her arms crossed but didn't interrupt. "All right girl, once you are done lets go!" JJ said as she waited, looking ready. JJ was also using this recovery time and mentally preparing to try to counter whatever was coming her way...

"Ā, upane! Ka upane! Ā, upane, ka upane, whiti te rā!" Karen concluded, finishing the haka to the immense cheers of her fans. To her absolute credit, JJ did not attack Karen as she performed, instead patiently keeping her distance. The American had some class after all, Karen thought, though JJ probably had absolutely no idea what kind of an honor Karen was doing her right now.

With the haka done, however, it was back to business. With a wordless cry, Karen lunged forward, aiming a right hook to JJ's jaw...though by this point JJ no doubt had a counter attack planned...

JJ didn't have as much of a plan as Karen probably thought. She was moving in at the same time as Karen with JJ aiming her own punch towards Karen's face! It looked like the two women were going to have a simple slug-fest with them exchanging hits until one finally dropped down to the mat. JJ knew Karen's power. She knew she was fired up. She still wasn't going to back down, she was giving it her all and swinging away with all she had hoping it would be enough.

Karen grunted loudly as she felt JJ's fist connect with her face...though she also felt her own fist connect as well. With a wordless growl she punched and lunched against, her own head rocking left and right ad she tanked blows in return. For a few brief seconds, the two ladies were engaged in a fierce punch up.

Finally, Karen staggered back dizzily, looking for a moment like she was going to topple over. Instead, with a fierce cry, she lunged, raising her arm and throwing her entire body into a brutal lariat designed to knock JJ down again!

JJ had been giving it her all to retake control, hitting as hard as she could... but it wasn't hard enough. The lariat crashed into JJ and she flew off her feet crashing down to the mat on her back! She moaned loudly in pain as she weakly kicked the mat. She rubbed her upper chest and coughed, the lariat having crushed the fight right out of her. JJ was down, out and looked to be spent at this point. She shook her head in disbelief. How did this happen... how?

After slamming her forearm hard against JJ's chest, Karen toppled down onto her hands and knees, gasping for breath. This match was taking a lot out of her, and exhaustion and hurt were now really starting to take their toll on her. She had to end this match, she knew, and fast. It was high time she finished JJ off.

Pushing herself up to her feet, Karen grabbed JJ by the head to hoist her up as well; once she had done so, she would duck behind her, sliding one arm around her powerful thigh and another under her chin, before lifting her up across her shoulders, pulling down on her chin and knee in her trademark trophy rack submission hold! The crowd went wild at this point, as Karen let out a wordless scream as she started to bend JJ across her shoulders. Was this it? Would JJ tap?

"JJ!" Kyo shouted from the sidelines. "Break free! Come on! You've got to escape!"

JJ knew she was in trouble but she could barely move. They were in the middle of the ring and Karen grabbed hold, lifting her up onto her shoulders when JJ howled in agony feeling like she was being split in half. She was going to escape soon or she would be tapping out. JJ had one chance as she gave it her all to thrash and thrust using everything she had to free herself! It took almost everything she had left as she just barely slipped free falling down behind Karen.

JJ grabbed Karen and stepped in between her legs with one leg as she twisted her abdomen over to lock in an abdominal stretch but to crank it further and make it harder to escape JJ leaned and adjusted locking in her favorite abdominal stretch submission! She bent Karen to the side and twisted over adding a lot of extra pain and pressure without having to tax her already broken self. JJ screamed as she was giving it her all in the middle of the ring to now make Karen tap out!
