"Now this should be last thing you need to do if everything has gone right," Chiaki Nanami's eyes flickered between the face of Fuuka Yamagishi on her second monitor, who had just wrapped up the instructions for creating and optimizing her new stream layout and effects.

"Right," Chiaki replied. "OBS, Edit Graphics Settings, apply this line of code, I think."

"The second to last line from the file I sent you," Fuuka reminded.

"Got it," responded the gamer girl. "And now... Test Effect... Hey hey! It worked!" Chiaki cheered as an 8-bit style jpeg of herself button mashed on an arcade machine before breaking into an excited cheer, one of the new notification effects for her streams.

"That's wonderful!" the tech head cheered back with a little fist pump. "You certainly made it easy though. I'm used to having to walking people through this kind of thing a lot slower, especially if I'm not there with them in person."

"Well it's not as if I don't know my way around OBS or a computer. I've been doing this for awhile," said Chiaki. "But still, the difference between someone who just knows what they're doing, and a real expert professional is amazing."

"Thank you Chiaki. I'm sure you've made plenty of people feel the same way with a game controller," Fuuka replied.

"Heh, I guess," said Chiaki before letting out a breath, knowing what the next part of this conversation was gonna be like already. "So about payment-" and just like she was expecting, Fuuka was already shaking her head and telling her no. "C'mon Fuuka, let me pay you something. You've earned it."

"I already said this before we started; you're a friend of Shiori, and your a friend of mine. Call it a favor," replied the bluenette.

"I know you can't see my layout, but it's too good. You did too good of a job for me to not give you something," pleaded Chiaki. "Please, I'll feel guilty if I don't."

"If you want to pay for it, then pay Shiori for introducing us in the first place," said Fuuka, earning herself a look and a laugh from her new friend.

"Heh, she'd be harder to give money to than you," the gamer replied. "I could physically shove bills into her hands and she probably wouldn't take it," Fuuka could only retort with a chuckle.

"Tell you what," the bluenette said. "I gave you a coding session, so you give me a gaming session and we'll call it even."

"Deal," said Chiaki. But the gears for an idea were already turning in her head. "Let me set a couple things, and we'll hook up to play." Unbeknownst to Fuuka, what Chiaki was setting up was a livestream. At the bottom, on her brand new scrolling message board, the stream wrote: The woman I'm playing with is named Fuuka, and she set me up with this awesome new layout and sweet new stream features and effects! She also doesn't know I'm live :P I won't be able to make shout outs until I tell her, so thanks in advance to everyone who donates and subscribes!

"Alright Fuuka, all ready," Chiaki said once she had finished starting her stream. "What do you want to play first?" Games like Danganronpa and Persona were quickly dismissed, as they were single player, and the two girls wanted to play together. The Persona Arena games were given a thought, but Fuuka decided she didn't want to make Chiaki hold back as much as she would need to to make a fair game. With single player and PvP discarded as potential games, co-op was the obvious choice from there. They quickly settled on going online to play Smash Bros. as a doubles team. Fuuka chose Link, so she could stay back and attack with projectiles without her lack of skill getting in Chiaki's way. While the more experienced gamer picked the fast and aggressive Captain Falcon to best capitalize on her partner's projectiles. The team worked like a charm. Fuuka's projectile support was quite effective, firing arrows, boomerangs, and bombs and Chiaki was able to lead and guide opponent's into, popping them up into the perfect position for her character's deadly aerial combos.

After picking up a few wins, the girls decided to switch off to another game. "Oh! What's that game with the rocket cars and the giant soccer ball?" Fuuka asked.

"Rocket League? Sounds good to me," said Chiaki as she loaded it up. While the first bit of gameplay featured Chiaki failing to contain her laughter as Fuuka was enraptured by trying to see how far she could boost jump up, once they started playing for real, they began falling into similar roles as they had before. Chiaki would use her skill and experience to go out and wreck opponents and score goals, while Fuuka hung back in a support role and played defense. Making use of her patience and observational skills to keep her goal safe against anything that got through to her. Though as Chiaki's stream chat was quick to point out, that almost always only happened when whatever random third the two got paired with made an error.

Speaking of Chiaki's stream chat, they loved Fuuka. for the first 20 or so minutes, every time she laughed, a mute wave would immediately follow as the weirdos in chat would always go over the line about how cute both she and her voice was. The streamer would roll her eyes, knowing she couldn't call them out directing without alerting Fuuka. But she would still smile at the popularity of her new friend with her fans. Fuuka was getting all kinds of praise. From her work on the stream, to her gameplay, to her general cuteness, and even some fans from LAW were announcing their support for her in the chat. But, since it's the Internet, "Rose Gold" soon became a banned phrase in chat. But what're you gonna do? Assholes with anonymity will always do their thing.

The two would cycle through a few more games before Fuuka decided that she was ready to call it a day, but of course, Chiaki had her little surprise to reveal. "It's been a lot of fun Fuuka, but before you go, click the link I just sent you," the streamer instructed.

"Okay. Uh, hey Chiaki, isn't this just the link to your Twitch channel?" asked the bluenette. Chiaki only smirked, so Fuuka clicked the link. Both her eyes and Chiaki's grin went wide as the realization hit Fuuka. "Have you been live this whole time?!"

"Ever since we started playing," the gamer confessed. "Since you wouldn't let me pay you in money for the amazing work you did for my stream, I decided to pay you in exposure! You get to be seen by all the fans who are getting to enjoy all the work you did!"

Fuuka was flabbergasted and was stammering at most, but when she looked at the chat, the only thing for her to see were cheers of praise and support from Chiaki's viewers. When the coder composed herself, she said, "I must say this was quite the shock, but it's really heartwarming to see how much your fans have all taken to me Chiaki. Though I still wish you would've told me first."

"Yeah, sorry about that. But I thought it would be a nice surprise when you found out, and it looks like I was right, I think," said Chiaki.

"I suppose I can't argue with that," Fuuka conceded. "It was rather nice once I got past the initial shock."

"Well, know that I can talk to my stream again... thanks to everyone who donated, subscribed, and gave their support to Fuuka! And if you're watching, a special shoutout to our friend Shiori for introducing us in the first place!"

Both girls just blinked at the screen for a moment as they processed the donation they had just heard. "You want to?" Fuuka broke the silence.

"Sure! Sounds fun!" Chiaki answered. "So LAWgamerlover, I think the answer to your question is soon. With that out of they way though, I am gonna end the stream now. Bye everybody!"

"Goodbye, it was nice meeting you," said Fuuka before Chiaki cut the stream. "So Chiaki, we're a tag team now."

"Yep," Chiaki said, clearly drained of energy now that the camera was off. "If you don't mind talking about this l-yaaawnlater, I'm gonna go sleep for 14 hours."

"Hehe. Sure thing. I'll talk to you later, partner."

"Bye bye, partner."
