Malta meets Royalty

The team had a big couple of weeks ahead of them, now currently in Rome for the next 2 weeks with a PPV on the horizon. Two of them had a match on it as well, with Kyoko defending her title in week 1 against Charlotte in Malta while Tara would deal with the nuisance Kate again in week 2 for what was to be their rubber match. After a very successful Turning Point for Abdominion Kyoko wanted to continue the momentum and kick off the first major event of the year with another series of victories. To do that she wanted to discuss plans with everyone and have a long overdue chat over some things...But rather than do it in a stuffy old room she wanted to take advantage of the beaches in this area and discuss it over some R&R.

"I'm surprised we got here first. Xia comes whenever she wants too but Tara is usually the fastest anywhere we plan to meet up." Kirie said looking around for any signs of the teams Knight, standing beside Kyoko with the both of them already dressed for the occasion. Kyoko was equally confused about Tara not already being there with them, for the same reason...especially because she was the one sh was waiting to talk too first.

Tara was.... nervous to say the least. Not about her upcoming rubber match with Kate Zawislak mind you, no if anything she was rather looking forward to it, though it did play a role into why she was actually nervous. No what had her on edge was none other than the woman she had chosen to follow, the illustrious middleweight champion who had called a meeting at one of the pristine beaches that lined Malta. Now when Kyoko called a meeting it was rarely ever a purely positive experience, largely due to the woman's critical nature and demanding nothing but the best from those that worked under her... Something that given Tara's current record she knew she wasn't meeting which meant that she would unfortunately be the target of this little... get together.

'Damn I was looking forward to showing off in this new swimsuit too.' Tara thought to herself with a down cast expression, wearing a one piece style black swimsuit that showed off her impressive back with the straps crossing over her chest and joining at her sides, leaving her prized abs on display for all. 'hopefully they don't ruin it.' Tara thought to herself, knowing that Kyoko's... improvement meetings were rarely just verbal affairs. Walking onto the beach it wouldn't take long for Tara to spot Kyoko and Kyrie respectively. "Thank God Da isn't here." Tara said to herself, knowing that the psychotic Chinese girl would jump at the chance to get at her. "Uh hey guys." Tara said to the two, giving a half hearted wave to the champion and their shared protege as she approached.

The duo had missed Tara the first time around but saw her coming when she started to approach them. Naturally she was nervous, about many things but the biggest one was being in Kyoko's presence given the current state of things. It wasn't the main topic on her mind but it was still too important to ignore, Tara's performance had been too spotty for Kyoko to ignore. While they were still waiting to see if Da Xia would show up, talking to Tara now would be better without her here to rub it all in. "Hey, what took you so long?" Kirie said first while Kyoko said nothing and simply moved up to get closer to Tara. Still silent she glared at her knight, letting Tara think about what she was going to say before she walked past Tara and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Glad you're here, Da will have to catch up, we have a spot over here." Kyoko said walking as if she was going to direct them somewhere....before turning back around and grabbing Tara! Her arms would fly up and lock her into a Full Nelson, and then yanking her back with her as she was pulling her along closer to where Kyoko wanted them to go. Kirie followed in front of her hands up. She wasn't as eager for this part of the conversation as Kyoko was, but she understood a lesson had to be taught. "I understand that under my wing you're pretty much set for life Tara....but I've gotten a feeling that you've become a little complacent with your place in LAW. I do not like complacency, it's like stagnation, it only wastes time and potential." Kyoko said, then gave Kirie a look telling her to act. Kirie nodded and stepped up to throw a punch to Tara's belly, making sure to avoid hitting the outfit and focusing mostly on the section in the front that exposed the body. The outfit was too cute to ruin. The entire time she was throwing a few punches Kyoko continued her rant.

"Losing more matches than you've been winning while wearing my colors. People are acting like you're getting worse and when you perform like that you just prove them right! I could go into that for hours, but to bring up the most important one would be your little show with Kate. You promised me that you would handle Alizeh's girlfriend and naturally I believed you. Thinking you have it in the bag facing a rookie in a belly match, I do an interview. I was there for maybe...10 or 15 minutes I can't remember, only to come outside and see you struggling for your life, and shortly after I get to the ring you let Kate knock you out! You! Who's supposed to be my most reliable woman, gets knocked out in a match you should have owned her in!" Kyoko shouted, punctuated by Kirie getting a mean right to the center of Tara's belly. Kirie winced at the yelling and mouth the words sorry at Tara for the punch, hoping she was alright. "And after that I found out you jumped her backstage shortly after the match, where you let her get the advantage again! And then you let her ass make you her bitch. Thank God Kirie found you and was able to get you home before too many people found you or we'd be laughing stocks forever." Kyoko growled, her hold on the Nelson accidentally tightening from her complaining, which would make things even more troublesome for Tara.

As she approached Kyoko and Kyrie the pit in Tara's stomach continued to grow with each passing moment, knowing how badly this was almost guaranteed to go for her. Though as she made it to the two, Kyrie would greet her chipper as always while Kyoko seemed... normal? Well not more angry or stand offish than she normally did. Was she overreacting? Would this all go ok for her? "Oh uh yeah sounds good boss." Tara said, a little confused for a moment but going with it as she moved to walk with the two... Only for Kyoko to move in the moment Tara passed her.

"Whoa! Wait Kyoko wait please!" Tara said as panic immediately set in, struggling for a moment against Kyoko's hold but it was locked in tight and unfortunately her abs were splayed perfectly for a bashful looking Kyrie who followed the two older woman as Kyoko led them backwards! "I haven't gotten complacent I pro-GUAH!" Tara yelled in pain, her words dying in her throat as Kyrie stepped forward driving a punch into her stomach! Lurching forward for a moment Tara would immediately cough and would have held her stomach if not for Kyoko holding her arms back.

This pattern would repeat, with Kyrie continuing to batter and bruise Tara's stomach with punch after punch with Tara unable to defend herself. Forced to withstand the blows as well as Kyoko's rant. Verbally punishing her foe her recent losses while wearing her colors. All that the knight could do however was grunt and groan in agony as her bell was continually abused, slumping further and further in Kyoko's grasp from the absolute lashing she was receiving on her boss's orders!

Tara's shocked attitude turned to panic when Kyoko grabbed her, making the Queen's disciple a little worried for her before the punches started to hit, pounding Tara's rock hard abs and doing a decent number on them as she knocked the wind out of the helpless Tara. One thing the rookie had going for her was a nasty right hook, she couldn't strike as hard as any of the rest of the stable, but considering each one of them could hit pretty hard that still meant Kirie was doing damage. She stepped in and made sure to have one strike dig her knuckles in deep into Tara's abs wanting to make sure she didn't end up on the Queen's bad side.

"Oh you haven't gotten complacent have you? Kirie stop for a second." Kyoko said and Kirie gladly did so, putting her hands to the side and standing in front of Tara hoping they could move past this. Despite making her stop Kyoko didn't let Tara go. "So tell me then Tara, how would you review yourself? Because judging by the way you walked up to us you knew you were in trouble so you clearly don't think you're doing a good job...and you'd be correct." Kyoko added, her tone menacing. She was giving Tara a chance...but it was clear that she was on thin ice and the punching could easily resume if she was displeased.

Tara was not in a good state right which was obvious. Between Kyrie's non stop barrage of blows and Kyoko's less than enthused rant about how unsatisfactory her performance was so far under her umbrella Tara wanted nothing more than to curl in fetal position somewhere dark and tucked away from the world to just try and mentally and physically recoup before her match against Kate which was in JUST a few days. Finally though Kyoko would tell Kyrie to stop so that way she could respond to Kyoko questioning how she would rate herself, but before she could do that Tara would have to cough violently and desperately inhale several deep breaths to try and recoup some of the air she lost.

"I.... I... H-Haven't... been good... enough.. I'm s-sorry..." Tara said breathlessly, trying to continue before Kyoko could knowing very well that answer might not be good enough. "I've been... weak... and haven't done... the colors proud... but Please... Kyoko please... I'll make Kate... pay during our match. I beat her once... at Double or nothing.... I can do it again... Just please stop!" Tara begged, desperate to stop the beating she was receiving knowing that the worse it was the more of a bad position she would be in for the pay per view.

Tara's remorse burned through her words enough that Kirie felt bad, although she could see that Kyoko's face was unmoved and was worried she'd demand that Kyoko kept going, she'd been doing her best to not hit too hard without outright holding back since Kyoko would feel that but anymore and Tara might start to bruise up, right before a PPV. Thankfully Kyoko seemed to be calming down. "To be honest Tara...I don't really care whether you beat Kate or not, it's obvious that you underestimated her but after Turning Point you proved you're superior. The bigger issue was letting me down before you beat her, and getting sloppy since you joined my group. I can stand a wrestler down on her luck, I can't stand regression and you have clearly regressed. Maybe you let your position go to your head...maybe someone else should be in that position in the meantime." Kyoko pondered still holding Tara in place. Kirie decided she had to step in now.

"Kyoko, while you are right you have to admit Tara's been running herself a little ragged." She said almost flinching when Kyoko's eyes darted at her with a look that screamed that she better get to the point. Kirie almost gulped, she was in a bad mood now. She had high expectations for all of them and while she could be generous when they matched them...they all knew the price of failure, especially with how she handled Yoko when she challenged her again. "After all while Tara's work in LAW hasn't been great we've also been trying to expand our influence and become bigger than LAW, between all the traveling and the matches we do we're working harder than anyone here. Remember that 3 on 3 elimination tag we did in the Underground Combat League, you barely had to do anything while me and Tara did the heavy lifting and it was mostly her, which proved your superiority as you basically sat back and watched your trainees kick ass! Then the fact that we also won that tag match when we went to Mexico, where I was only able to hang because of Tara! She's kinda been a spokeswoman everywhere else for us, while helping me train. Maybe she just went a little too hard on herself and it's causing some slack here in LAW because she knows her legacy is secured in this place..." Kirie muttered, the entire time Kyoko's eyes didn't get any softer, she nervously looked between her and Tara wondering if she shouldn't have opened her mouth...when Kyoko let Tara go. "I see your point. I guess we have been moving around a lot because of me defending my belt everywhere. I often forget that as young and prodigious as Tara is she's still fairly young and the experience might've overwhelmed her. It doesn't completely excuse her short comings...but I understand it." Kyoko said looking down at Tara. "Lesson over, try to relax and understand that you need to be ready for anything, people look for any excuse to bring us down and we can't afford to let them, we're the greatest group everywhere and we need to prove it...everywhere." Kyoko finished walked off to go further on the beach where she set up their chairs to relax. Kirie moved over to Tara. "I didn't hit you too hard did I?" She asked worried.

Tara was utterly helpless in Kyoko's grip as the woman began to lay into her verbally once again. If nothing else though it at least was somewhat alleviating that Kyoko acknowledged that she was superior to Kate, but it was short lived before the woman threatened her position in the group, and believed that she had regressed as a wrestler which hit Tara in the gut far worse than Kyrie's fists had.

Speaking of thought it was the youngest member of the group that then spoke up in defense of Tara. Bringing up all the extracurricular matches and battles that Tara had fought on behalf of Kyoko and the group. It was truthfully a lot on top of the elite competition she faced in LAW, and perhaps it did affect her performance in LAW.

It was an argument that evidently was successful with Kyoko who agreed and released Tara, allowing her to fall to her knees, hands going to her aching abs while Kyoko spoke again, still firm and strict, but much softer in the sense of letting Tara off the hook which frankly was all Tara needed to hear as she nodded between coughs. Eventually Kyoko would walk off with Kyrie coming over to check on her.

"Ugh... no Kyrie. You're fine.. Thank you.. I owe you big time." Tara said, wrapping her arms around Kyrie's hips and slowly pulling herself up, leaning on Kyrie for support. "Get us somewhere comfortable... and I'll pay you back." Tara whispered still with a twinge of pain in her voice mixed in with gratitude as she leaned her head on Kyrie's shoulder.

Kyoko had left them for now so Kirie's focus was on getting Tara somewhere she could rest, and so far that's exactly what Tara needed. "Luckily we weren't kidding about finding a good isolated spot. Come this way." Kirie said walking with Tara leaning on her for support. She walked them over to a spot they had already set up at, by the water but was one where you could buy custody of for a few hours to an entire day meaning if they wanted peace and quiet they would get it. It was the best spot in the area and naturally it was all theirs.

"Here we go." Kirie said, bringing Tara to one of the chairs they had already set up so she could lay down and relax if needed. Once she was seated Kirie would step back and stand next to the Knight of the group with a smile. "Glad we got that sorted out, I was worried she would be angrier, but all things considered she seemed to be in a good mood. Might've been because both of you guys won at Turning Point." She said, knowing Kyoko liked those dominant team moments, which was why stuff like her beat down of Aane and Tia with Tara and Xia was also something she bragged about a lot.

Tara would be helped up by Kyrie and assisted over to the spot picked out by her and Kyoko, thankfully it was reserved so she wouldn't have to worry about saving face here. Laid down on a chair Tara immediately would relax it and start taking some deep breaths, hissing softly from the lingering pain in her abs as she did so but it would be the best way to help mitigate it. Nodding along as Kyrie spoke Tara wasn't as sure in the girl's logic as she seemed to be in.

"No.. I know her good moods that's not it... It's cause you made good points. It was enough to sway her. Really I'm just lucky she wasn't in a bad mood either. Otherwise it wouldn't have mattered." Tara said with a deep sigh at the end, able to speak normally at least but not without some lingering difficulty.

"All that to say.. thank you Kyrie. You really saved my ass back there... Or rather abs. Either way you're the best apprentice a girl could ask for." Tara said in a genuine tone, trying to make sure Kyrie knew exactly how much Tara appreciated her.
