L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

Isa was looking forward to this.

Finally, the stars seemed to be aligning for the Angel of Ice. The heavens seemed to finally be at peace with her. Not only had she gotten selected to compete in the Double or Nothing tournament, but she had defeated her first opponent in a decisive manner too! And she wasn't having to just face some bigger heavyweights... No, Sammi Defoe had been as lightweight as they came. And while granted, that had placed some extra pressure to succeed on the Icelandic blonde's shoulders, in the end, that pressure had only made her more determined, and ensured that there had been no hopes for Sammi to have overcome the challenge presented by the blonde heavyweight!

And why was Isa looking forward to tonight then? Well, her next opponent, Izumi Tachibana, was far from a heavyweight as well. Granted, she wasn't a tiny lightweight, she wasn't a Young Lioness like Sammi was... But she was still a lower middleweight, even if equipped with some substantial skill and experience. Isa was still confident enough that she could lean in to her strengths, and her size advantage tonight... Surely, surely there was no way that this Izumi could turn out to surprise her?

Isa - The Angel Of Ice:

Entrance theme:

Isa's mind had already wandered towards thinking already about who she might be facing in the following round of the tournament, when she could hear her entrance theme starting to play in the LAW arena. Clearing her mind, the Angel of Ice quickly refocused her thoughts back to the task at hand, and started marching as gracefully and majestically down the ramp as always. Her subtle, polite smile had a hint of added confidence in it though, and the few graceful waves she always gave for the crowds were a little bit more determined than usual.

Getting up to and stepping into the ring without any hesitation, the blonde Icelander slid in still ever-so-graciously between the ropes, and proceeded to perform her usual procedure of getting up on the ropes at each side of the ring, sitting down at each one of them for a moment for a delicate pose crossing her legs, and making sure to greet all of the crowds with her signature polite smile. Then, she proceeded to her corner to remove her cape in preparation for the match... And in preparation for finally seeing Izumi Tachibana inside the ring in flesh.

Flesh, that she was soon wanting to wrap her legs tightly around. And squeeze.

Meanwhile in the backstage area Izuku Tachibana awaited patiently, legs split perfectly with each of her feet being purchased a crate to either side in a feat of flexibility and core strength, and served as a good warm up prior to her next tournament bout.

Blau was certainly a capable opponent and pushed Izumi in the early goings of it, but it only took a few of her powerful strikes to leave Blau stunned and vulnerable to one of Izumi's finishers, making the martial artist's revenge swift and brutal. Now it was time for her next bout and based on what she had heard Isa was a heavyweight and a rather capable one at that.

A far cry from Izumi's first opponent, but just like against the punk Rocker, Izumi wouldn't hesitate to use her martial arts to level the playing field. Turning her head and getting the que that it was time for her entrance Izumi would smile and nod, pushing off of one of the crates with her leg and swinging it over to stand before pulling her other leg off the crate and walking in the direction of the entrance ramp as her music began to play.

As it played Izumi would strut out from behind the curtain while blue lights streamed around the arena before focusing on center stage as a spotlight shown down showing Izumi's form, as the chorus of the song came on Izumi would do a quick dance inspired by some idol videos she had seen while waiting that she wanted to try. It would seem it was greatly appreciated, that or her name continued to be a boon for her, or just that the moves complimented her form and beautiful appearance, regardless the crowd erupted into thunderous cheers for Izumi which only made Izumi smile a bit wider, feeding off the crowd's energy.

Coming down the ramp officially now and stepping forward in long strides Izumi would hold her hand out and high five the fans in the front row as she made her way towards the ring. Jumping onto the outside apron and turning around while holding the top rope Izumi would blow a kiss to the fans before leaning back, posing for the crowd which only garnered more cheers for her before lifting herself back up and lifting herself over the ropes and vaulting into the ring, landing a in a roll before stopping on her knees, holding her arms out to the side to another chorus of cheers before she got up and nodded before turning and smiling at Isa. "Hello. I'm looking forward to this match!" Izumi said, extending her hand out to the blonde as a greeting before the bout began properly.

Izumi's entrance wasn't one with the most grandeur or otherwise spectacular compared to some others Isa had seen, but it certainly got her a little irritated.

Now, Isa wasn't generally one to paytoo much attention to the crowds or their reactions, but the reception that Izumi received was markedly excited enough that it penetrated the attention of even the Angel of Ice. Of course, Isa had known that Izumi was Japanese... But exactly quite how popular she turned out to be was still a bit of a surpise for the blonde. The crowd was eating up everything that she was doing... From her Japanese entrance theme and idol moves to her high fives and blowing kisses... Yeah, she surely was the fan favorite tonight. And she knew how to profit from it... And admittedly, that was getting under Isa's skin a little.

She would have to think about it later why exactly it was so, perhaps due to how part of the crowds had favored Sammi Defoe in the previous round despite of Isa's dominance, that had kinda irked the Icelander... And tonight, the setting was even clearer. But then again, did it matter though? Isa should just lean in to her strengths, and send the home favorite to the loser's bracket with her size and strength advantage, right?

Isa watched as Izumi vaulted into the ring, landing in a roll and held her arms out for another round of cheers. All of the crowds' admiration was making the blonde increasingly eager to get her hands, and legs, on the blunette, and show everyone who was actually the superior wrestler inside the ring tonight.

Still, despite all these thoughts inside the blonde's head, to the outside, Isa showed no signs of discontent. In fact, the expression on her face was as polite as ever, as she began taking gracefully steps towards the center of the ring to meet Izumi's extended hand for a proper, professional shake. "Hello, me too. I expect it to be fun..." the blonde stated while shaking her opponent's hand.

As she was waiting for the bell to ring though, Isa wasn't actually keen at all to let any distance build between her and her bluenette opponent. Thus, the blonde decided to say some additional words to see if she could keep Izumi close...

"You're not afraid at all, though? I mean, your last opponent in the tournament was a lightweight after all... And I'm a heavyweight who knows how to squeeze and crush girls like you." Isa then said in a rather confident, yet still polite tone... With a hint of unintentional arrogance perhaps shining through. All the while the blonde tried to adopt as an imposing stance as close to Izumi's own body as she could, wanting to show everyone the difference in their statures as clearly as possible. "You're sure you dare to keep close to me?"

Isa's challenge may had seemed a little uncharacteristic, but the blonde was having a plan. If she'd manage to keep Izumi close until the time the bell would ring, the Angel of Ice could then try to surprise the bluenette, pull her quickly in, and grab her into a tight bearhug hold, hoping to start the match off strong!

Having made her entrance to quite the fanfare Izumi would smile softly at her opponent, unaware of any potential tension rising between the two of them, simply excited for the bout ahead of herself and Isa, and potentially advancing even further in this tournament. As such when Isa reached out and grabbed Izumi's hand for a polite firm handshake Izumi would smile and nod at the woman. "Yes absolutely it'll be a great bout!" Izumi said and was prepared to leave it at that and head back to her corner but it seemed that her opponent had other ideas.

"Oh?" The blue haired woman said when Isa asked if she was scared, paying rapt attention as the blonde continued, mentioning how Izumi's first opponent was a lightweight, while Isa was a heavyweight instead and thus presented a much different challenge which while technically true sounded a bit arrogant to Izumi but she would just shrug it off in response. Maybe Isa didn't know what she said could be interpreted that way? Who knows. But it then became clear what Isa's plan was as the bell then range and the blonde then used their still clasped hands to pull Izumi in and wrap her up in a bearhug!

"Ugh!" Izumi cried out in pain, waving her legs about and groaning softly as her ribs were constricted. However perhaps a true unintended consequence of Isa's plan was that the crowd would start to boo Icealandic beauty outright for what they saw as an underhanded tactic! Still despite the pain she was in Izumi would grit her teeth, pulling her leg back and driving it forward into Isa's stomach with a makeshift knee strike. An action Izumi would try and repeat, blasting knees into Isa's stomach to try and make the woman loosen or even outright release her from the bearhug!

Isa certainly hadn't intended to use any underhanded tactics here... Or even look like one to have used any of those. But as it just turned out, her words ended up keeping Izumi a little too close to her, making it seem like the handshake hadn't even ended before the bell rang to everyone... And that was actually the question. Had it even ended? If you asked Isa, she would have been of the opinion that the handshake had been all in the past by the time she pulled the bluenette in close... But then again, the blonde's mind had been so occupied by her plan, that it could have very well been, that subconciously, the Angel of Ice had actually never let go... Which the fans seemed to be agreeing with.

Nevertheless, Isa's plan at grabbing Izumi tightly and lifting her up into a mighty squeeze turned out to work perfectly! At first, the blonde was enthralled by her success... Until she began realizing the reaction that the crowds were having over her moves. It certainly confused the blonde quite a bit... Why were they reacting like this? Was this just favoritism towards the Japanese Izumi, or had they actually considered her moves somehow dirty?

Izumi could see that she wasn't the only one getting redder... Even if it was for her from the squeeze, for Isa it was from the situation with the reaction of the crowds getting into her head. Soon enough though part of it became also explained by Izumi's attempted knee strikes... And while the bluenette's awkward position guaranteed that they weren't much more than a nuisance for Isa, the bearhug had grown old a lot faster than she had initially imagined. Thus, the Angel of Ice decided to try bending her knees a little, and turn the hold then into a mighty belly-to-belly suplex, that would hopefully send Izumi crashing painfully against the mat!

Izumi wasn't quite sure what happened, it was like a blur of the bell ringing then Isa moving forward while their hands were still locked. Then a crushing pressure encircling her from all sides and a desperate feeling that she needed to escape it. 'Damn... was this planned? is that why she talked?' Izumi thought to herself with a wince of pain as she sent the closest thing to knee strikes that she could into her opponent's sides. Without leverage they weren't overly powerful but it was something.

Hopefully at least enough to make the woman fold and release her hold. After a few of the hits Izumi felt a shift. 'Is she letting go?' Izumi thought to herself, only to find out she was only partially correct as Isa pulled back and sent Izumi flying upward through the air with a massive belly to belly suplex! "GAH!" Izumi cried out in pain as she hit the mat and bounced off of it, immediately cringing in pain while the crowd devolved into full on boos towards Isa!

While Isa was certainly strong, her core strength still laid mainly in her lower body, especially in her legs. But despite that, the rigid training program of the Angel of Ice had ensured good development of her upper body strength too, and even if it wasn't perhaps quite on the level of some other heavyweights, it was surely plentiful enough to cause Izumi some serious discomfort and pain in her bearhug. Still, Izumi had enough room to attempt some knee strikes to fight back on the bigger blonde, and while they were mostly just a nuisance, they were still effective with prompting Isa's thoughts to get steered towards going for the suplex instead...

And what a success that turned out to be! Izumi got a one-way ticket for a flight landing into the canvas, and the bluenette's body bouncing off of it was surely an indication of the power behind the blonde's throw. Her opponent cringing on the mat in apparent pain was obviously a good way to get this match started!

Of course, Isa wasn't about to leave it there. She was hungry for more. But there was one thing that was off... The crowds! Why weren't they cheering for her? Why weren't they impressed? Why were they giving the Angel of Ice full on boos?!?

Isa's mind was getting quickly overwhelmed by the questions, and the odd situation she was finding herself in. It gave the blonde some added pressure - but she was still able to channel it into determination. Perhaps they wanted to see something even more showy from her?

With that in mind, Isa quickly approached Izumi's body, trying to position herself behind the Seiryu, and take control of her other wrist and arm, pulling and yanking her upward in front of her. Provided that she didn't face any significant resistance, the Icelander was hoping to impress the crowds next with a powerful German Suplex on her lighterweight opponent!

Izumi was still wincing in pain after her rather rough landing on the mat from Isa's massive throw that caused her to crash and burn on the other side of ring after forcing the woman into releasing her bearhug. Not a great position to be in... but one that Izumi was sure she could come back from with enough time and a chance to to break her opponent's momentum.

Isa however would certainly not make things easy for Izumi as she tried to sit up only to get cut off by Isa who was right on her, wrapping her arms around her waist before pulling back and sending Izumi flying once again with a german suplex!

"Aghhhh!" Izumi cried out in pain as she hit the mat, bouncing off it and ending up on her stomach, holding her back in pain and kicking her feet against the mat to try and work it out. 'Damn...' Izumi thought to herself, the crowd meanwhile doubling down in their booing of Isa at seeing the relentless assault on Izumi from the blonde!

Isa was determined to capitalize on her strong start, and throw the smaller bluenette once more around, this time with a German suplex! It was as perfect and mighty as Isa could have ever wished for, causing Izumi to get lifted high up in the air, and crashing once again painfully against the canvas. The lighter wrestler even bounced off the mat, ending up on her stomach and kicking her feet in obvious frustration and pain... Surely the crowds would have loved to see that, right?

No such luck for Isa though. To the blonde's shock and puzzlement, they were booing even harder for what they were seeing in the ring... How could that be?!? What was this all about?!? Were they really booing for her... Booing for the supposedly graceful and innocent Angel of Ice?!?

The crowds' reaction was getting now so deeply into Isa's head, that she couldn't shake it off for another flashy move. Instead, the blonde decided to position herself on top of Izumi's upper back, and pull the bluenette into a tight Camel Clutch hold... And when she would have gotten that one applied, she would have the opportunity to see if she could clear some things out with Izumi.

"So, what's... What's this all about?!?" the blonde would then begin quering from her hopefully trapped and stretched opponent, her tone being slightly irritated and puzzled, yet still rather polite. "Are you used to them booing for you this much... Or... Are you some kind of fan favorite?" the blonde asked perhaps a rather funny and peculiar question from someone in her position, as she was trying to make sense of the situation.
