Kyoko Akan (C) vs Katarzyna Zawiślak — Last Woman Standing Match for the LAW Middleweight Title

The vice let her arms press around Kate's neck and squeeze her pretty tight, she could almost see her face changing color in the vice, with the arm in between not fairing any better. She wanted to squeeze tighter until Kate passed out, but was stopped by Kate rolling back and bringing her legs with her to press around Kyoko's head, giving them a squeeze to yank her off of Kate. Kyoko resisted the pull as much as sh could but the further her head went back the harder it was to maintain the hold until she was pulled to her back where Kate could quickly move in to grab her head. "Gnngh!" Kyoko groaned when Kate followed her and landed a few punches to her skull to stop her from getting away or fighting back while she threw her head around and slowly wrapped it up against her armpit, before securing a grip on the Belly Queen's neck.

"Ggghh!" Kyoko groaned, the pressure around her head getting worse with the choke threatening her air supply again. Kate quickly decided to go for everything pulling Kyoko up so that she was in a different position and pretty much on her feet and then in the air so that Kate could get the most out of squeezing her! "UUggghh!" Kyoko gagged feeling the pressure tighten around her neck, threatening to make her black out if something wasn't done before that happened.

Kate finally got the hold of Kyoko in earnest, managing to wrestle her down and daze her enough to wrap her arms around her throat and she would not be letting go. There was a certain amount one needed to squeeze on the carated arteries to block them and it was not a lot, considerably more with a resisting opponent but still, as long as the position was right, and it was, it turned into a waiting game.

Or it would If Kare wanted to treat it like any other choke, but no, there was no point in being gentle here and any second longer the choke would need to take, was a second Kyoko could use to escape and that was simply not going to happen. Kate was squeezing down with all her might, fully intent on squeezing every last ounce of life out of the woman if that was what it took and once she felt her go limp, she'd look to the referee first to confirm she was out before dropping her to the ground and waiting for the count!

She'd be in a lot more danger if this was a normal match, a submission here wouldn't end it but even now she wouldn't give one. Her remaining strength went to her surroundings to see if she could find any way to break out without spending more energy, only to find that they were far away from everything. The Belly Queen's vision got blurrier and her mind started to get hazy, making her struggles cease to the point that when the ref checked her she got no response, even pulling away her arm to drop it and watch it fall without any resistance. The minute the ref thought Kyoko was out Kate dropped her to the mat, letting the Belly Queen flop and lay there while the crowd approved thinking the match could be over.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THREE!"

Kyoko didn't move for the first 3 seconds, letting the fans get hopeful...Then she started to move. "Hhuuuuuhh!" Kyoko gasped, eyes coming to life as she seemed to catch her breath and wake up all at once. But she was still on the mat, and the count was going to continue unless she could reach her feet right after coming too.

"FOUR!"

"Shit..." Kyoko groaned, rolling to her knees and placing a hand to her hurting throat. Still unable to fully see or breathe in completely, but now it was looking like she had a chance. Ignoring the count for a second the Belly Queen would try to get some wind under her sails again and focus, pushing herself up to her feet and fighting to get back up, despite her head still being a mess after being choke out in such a painful way.

Unfortunately for most of the fans in the building, Kyoko Akan was tougher than she looked. Rising back up to her feet at the count of six, even if she was struggling to stay up. It wasn't her wisest move, she could use the rest of the count to recover more and get back without looking wobbly, but pride was getting in her way again. She wanted to prove that she was the best and after that almost knockout her mind wasn't thinking of any strategy besides surviving until she could think of one. Still the less tactical decision she made didn't keep it from looking impressive to recover from such a devastating move so quickly.

Kate released the hold and stepped towards the ropes, letting herself relax for a moment. She practically hung Kyoko, this, by all rights should have done the trick, no matter who it would be, even if they'd wake up in time, standing up should be completely out of the question, let alone fighting. Hearing the audience cheer for her, a few voices in the crowd joining in on the count, Kate smiled, raising her fist up.

The celebrations would not be long-lived however, the initial gasp did not worry Kate all that much, she was not trying to kill the woman after all so it was good she was breathing but when only a second later she spoke, Kate pushed from the ropes, watching her carefully. 'Come on, fall back down' She thought to herself as she saw the woman struggle to her feet though clearly still weak on her legs.

Count only reached six, there were a few more seconds in the count Kyoko could have used to catch her breath and get up to a stronger start back to things but it seemed the woman's pride would not take being kept down for even a moment longer than she absolutely had to. Though Kate would hate to admit it, it was an impressive feat, chokes were putting people down regardless of how tough they were but the champion seemed intent on proving that this did not apply to her.

Kate would sigh in frustration and step forward, looking the champion up and down. She still looked weakened but even just standing was a herculean achievement and now that she did, with every second she'd be getting closer to her full strength, something Kate could not afford and was not about to allow. "You should have stayed down!" She'd say, trying to catch the woman with a punch as she approached!

It wasn't the best the Belly Queen ever looked in a title match, she was teetering on the edge of being knocked over and had to try and keep herself balanced to avoid falling on her ass again, but at least she got to see the surprise on Kate's face. Whatever doubts she had about the Queen's toughness just evaporated and now the woman who came here looking for a fight was calling for Kyoko to stay down and trying to punch her again. "Ugghh!" Kyoko gasped, the punch connecting her with her head and knocking her back a little even though she managed to stay on her feet. Her newfound balance came at just the last second, and was almost lost again after taking that punch. The after effects of being choked hadn't gone away yet, her head was still dizzy and her throat was aching, but she still felt like smiling and staring back at Kate through the painful experience.

"I already told you once, you don't tell me what to do. I'm the champ, I'm the only one who gets to decide when I'm done fighting. You didn't think this fight would be easy did you?" Kyoko mocked, feeling her throat burn from saying so much soon after getting her breathing back. She would move in and go for Kate's face with a punch right back before stepping away and trying to prepare for whatever came next.

Kate's fist connected with Kyoko's skull but even after having her life nigh on choked out of her, the champion stubbornly refused to go down. It would seem as though both women were in for the long haul on this one, not that Kate really expected it to be different to start with, still, she'd be more than fine if the other woman would not get up in the first place. Now she has not only taken another blow but had enough spark in her to go onto another one of her tirades before swinging at Kate's head.

"Gha!" She grunted, recoiling from the strike and taking a step back, starting to circle with Kyoko. "Oh for the love of god... Did you want me to think that? Or do you expect a pat on the back for doing good? I knew it wouldn't be easy! Wouldn't have to be doing it if it was!" She replied to the champion, closing in to take a swing at her head but only aiming for the punch to go past her head so she could grab the woman's neck, pull her closer and slam her knee into her opponent's abdomen before attempting to force Kyoko's head under her armpit to then drop back for a DDT!

Kyoko knocked Kate away and resumed another stalemate, waiting to see what she did next. She didn't quite attack her yet, knowing that she risked a losing battle if she rushed her body ahead of her recovery. For the moment she had to simmer through her insults and endure until Kate forced another encounter, making Kyoko act before she took another big hit. Kyoko would rush in and go low, trying a single leg attempt that tried to go past her efforts to punch her and unintentionally avoiding the attempt to grab her head before she would sit up and grab Kate's waist after she got behind her.

"Don't pretend you didn't come in here thinking I was taking the easy route Kate. We both know what you expected, just like you thought I needed to jump you the last time we met." Kyoko said before she tried to lift Kate up and suplex her down to the mat. "What I want, is to punish you for ever thinking I wasn't a champion worthy wrestler for even a second, no rookie ever gets to doubt me!" Kyoko shouted, ready to attack Kate the moment she got up again, preparing to hit her with a dropkick the moment she rose.

Kate's strike missed, allowing Kyoko an opportunity to duck low and wrap her arms around her waist from behind before lifting Kate up and throwing her back with a suplex that shook the ring! "Ghhhhha!" She'd let out, feeling the pain run through her neck and back before she flopped to the ground, turning on her stomach to push up as she heard Kyoko speak further.

She knew she would not be simply allowed to get up and so, she got her knees under her belly to get up as fast as she could by pushing up, immediately taking a step to the side as she saw Kyoko aim a dropkick at her and after the woman would fall following that missed attack, she'd try to kick her head as she'd be getting up to keep her grounded. "I did think you'd underestimate me, and guess what, I was fucking right so spare me that drivel. I never said you were weak, no amount of tricks would get you that far if you were!" She'd say, trying to stomp down on the woman's stomach. "But being a champion is about more than just being strong, you're supposed to represent us all but all you do is spit on the very idea and shout how great you are." She'd add, taking a step back "You're not a champion, you're an insecure little girl howling for approval!" The irony of the fact it was her telling this to Kyoko did not escape her.

Kyoko was quick to stand up, despite her neck since she needed to punish the rookie for not only daring to tell her what to do again but also trying to tarnish her championship run just because it didn't pass her standard of approval. She wanted to knock her head off so badly that she rushed in when Kate was rising, when if she had paid more attention she might've noticed that Kate was taking her time to check what her situation was and figure out what to do. Her dropkick missed, making her land on her hips and rub against the mat, while being put in the perfect spot for Kate to try and kick her.

"Bgguuh!" Kyoko gasped, knocked down by the kick to her skull. Her head was hurting a little after the choke and this move rattled her skull more, not enough that she could ignore Kate's words, which only continued to infuriate her. When Kate tried to stomp on her stomach, Kyoko reached out to try and catch the leg after tightening her abs to endure its landing. "Gnnnh!...Spare me the god dam moral posturing." Kyoko growled, taking the kick, but still able to hold the foot so that Kate couldn't pull away, she would bring her legs up and try to hook it so that she could twist the leg and use her own legs to hold and bring Kate down to the mat. "Accusing me of cheating to beat Alizeh? Mocking how I outsmarted Akane? All you've done is claim I'm weak, how fucking dare a rookie like you try to pull that speech on me and then say that shit! That's what all you losers do, tell me what it means to be a champion like you have a better grasp on it then I do. Like your way is somehow better. The only thing a champ has to do is take on tough competitors and fight until she meets one who beats her, nothing more and nothing less! I don't need anyone to shake my hand or approve of me, the only thing I need is to live up to the challenge and I do that every time! I don't care that you don't like me, I can book a stadium with the number of people who don't...I'm just sick of you pretending you actually care, when all you're mad about is what I did to someone you care about you dishonest brat!" Kyoko said, using the leg until she could get up and then try to turn it into a single leg Boston crab, another move commonly done by her, to focus on the leg and bend Kate's back a little.

Kate's leg was caught by Kyoko before she could retreat, twisted to the side to make her go off balance before a pull on it made her go completely flat. "Tsssssa" She let out, falling to the ground before Kyoko would move ahead with a hold, locking in a single leg Boston crab as she spoke. "Khhhuua!" Kate would groan from the pain, forced to listen to the champion as she continued to speak whilst looking for a way out.

Luckily for her, Kyoko did not try to grab her other leg, allowing Kate some more mobility on the ground as she'd turn, enduring the increasing pain of the hold with gritted teeth as she'd try to grab Kyoko's leg, at the same time she'd use her own free leg, putting it behind the champion's thigh, then in one motion, she's pull the leg from under the woman, pushing forward with her won leg to make her stumble forward if she wanted to keep balance, therefore releasing the hold and letting Kate roll to the ropes and get back up there.

"Sure, keep telling that to yourself, maybe at some point you'll start actually believing your own bullshit." She'd say, getting up and looking at Kyoko "And sure, what you did to Alizeh is the main reason, I wasn't even trying to hide that but I thought it would get through that thick skull of yours by now, it's not the only thing I care about." She'd say, hurrying up to the centre of the ring and trying to force Kyoko into a lock-up!
