L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

Sophia had done it. She had completed two matches in LAW and as such as she was now able to be in the undercard for the upcoming Fight The LAW event in Rome! While it would be more ideal for her to be in the main card, it didn't matter as long as she got to compete in the event is all that mattered to her at the end of the day. There was one problem though, her first two matches weren't exactly the matches she was hoping for in this promotion. Her first match was an utter cakewalk without her having to put in any effort. Her second match on the other hand was a different story. Clarice was actually a decent challenge, not the strongest opponent she's faced but compared to her debut it a million times better! At the same time Sophia meant to keep her promise to help workout with Clarice for a future rematch. For this however, Sophia was going to make a challenge for someone who knows personally, a man who can truly be on her level of competition, someone in her own family. So there Sophia was in the gorilla about to kick off tonight's show with a promo and it was going to be one, Sophia hoped fans would remember.

Soon enough Gloria's entrance theme began to play as the titantron showed the American flag zooming out to show it was just a cape that Gloria was wearing as she came out to the top ramp for all to see. Gloria would hear the cheers of her fans as she strike her signature pose, her arms firmly on her hips with her shoulders out and a bright smile going across her face with her cape flowing behind her before pushing her shoulders back to let her cape show off some shoulder action as she went to flex her muscles much to the crowds enjoyment. Gloria would strut down to the ring taking her time as this wasn't for a match or anything and instead could take a moment with the audience. She would give high fives to the audience's members and when presented with a picture of her to sign Gloria stopped and smiled. "Off course!" She grinned as she grabbed the marker from the fan writing her signature before giving it back nicely to them before making her way to front of the ring. As she climbed up the steel steps before entering in, she dusted her boots off before putting one leg over the ropes and guiding her body through it and into the ring.

As she got in, she waved to the crowd before gesturing for a mic which the ref would apply give her. Once it was in her head Gloria would stop in the center of the ring with the audience surprisingly quieting down wanting to see what this superstar had to say. "I just want to first and foremost say thank you to everyone for cheering me on despite just getting here. You guys push me to want to do nothing more than put on a speculate for all of you and is the reason I'm still here tonight!" Gloria started off her speech wanting to show her appreciation for the audience who began to clap. After a moment Gloria would lean back with the mic still up against her mouth."And secondly as you may know while Su wasn't exactly the greatest debut opponent, Clarice that girl gave me a hell of a time despite it being rather short." Gloria chuckled thinking back to her first two matches in LAW as she began to pace around the ring keeping her attention on the audience before stopping back in the center of the ring."And that's why I Gloria Star am going to shoot for the top tonight as I can now qualify for the undercard in FIGHT THE LAW!!! Gloria paused taking a moment to point straight at her before pointing up into the ceiling to emphasize her words as now the crowd was intrigued. Who would she be challenging for this event? Surely it had to be someone strong like her. All of this caused the audience to murmur to each other about who she would be challenging which brought a grin to this superheroes face as all eyes were on her waiting to see what she would say next. From there Gloria would turn her attention to the entrance ramp and slowly raise up her finger to point straight at the gorilla with everyone looking at her movements carefully to see what would happen. "I challenge....... DANIEL HAINES!!!!!" Gloria started off soft before pausing to keep the audience in suspense before shouting the name of who she was challenging. It would be none other than the nephew of Alaina Sanders-Haines. Daniel Haines who was a family member of Gloria, but nobody knew because she kept her personal life a mystery. With that the audience gasped in shock of who she was challenging as now they had their eyes set on the gorilla to see if Daniel would answer the challenge of the strongest superhero America had to offer.

Danny was backstage and ready to go as he was told he may be needed in a match tonight. He figured someone may have known something he didn't so he listened. He was sure glad he did listen as well. He was watching when Gloria came out and he couldn't help but smile. He laughed a bit but he felt pure joy for Sophia. She made it to the big time. He also knew she kept her personal life far from the ring, a far cry from Alaina.

Danny would step out to face Gloria. He wouldn't let on any hint that he knew who she was, let alone that she was family. Danny came out and heard some cheers having been doing very well in the ring of late. His increased training and other time with his fiance Irelia Xu was paying off. Danny made it to the ring and crossed his arms looking over at Gloria.

"Ok lady, ya wanted me, ya got me." Danny said tapping his foot on the ground trying to look impatient instead of happy to see her.

Gloria alongside everyone else had their eyes peeled to the gorilla wondering if Danny was not only here but if he would accept the challenge from the Star-Spangled superhero. After a minute Danny's music finally hit as he comes out to the ring. "Heh, I knew you'd show cousin." Gloria muttered to herself silently with a light smile growing on her face as she kept her eyes dead center on her relative. "It seems like he's gotten stronger. It's probably from all the clients he's taken on." Gloria commented to herself noticing Danny's more impressive stature than the last time he was in the ring.

Admittedly challenging Danny would be a bit risky on Gloria's behalf. When Gloria started wrestling one of the things she made sure to not do was have her real name relived to the public under any circumstances. Being a relative of a hall of framer like Alaina Sanders would defiantly make her profitable to bookers and promoters but Gloria refused to let her family name be the thing that got her matches, she wanted it to be her own skill and dedication that got her where she is today. So, challenging a member of her own family would be a gamble, would Danny accidentally spill the beans and act like they've known each other since they were kids, or would he play dumb and act like they've never met before? A gulp went down Gloria's throat as she couldn't help but sweat just a tiny pit at the thought of the secret, she had been keeping for almost a decade would be ruin by an accident. When Danny finally spoke however he went with the latter acting like they've never met before. "Phew..." Gloria let out a small sigh of relief as it meant her secret would still be safe but unknown to her it would be her turn to speak as she was so caught up in her fears, she lost track of time! "Oh... Uh.... My bad... Ahem." Gloria let out with her face having a look of pure embarrassment as she tried to play it cool before taking a deep breathe. Once that was done, Gloria rolled her shoulders trying to relax before putting the mic up to her mouth. "Sorry about that but Daniel I have a personal challenge to ask of you." Gloria spoke firmly calling Danny by his birth name rather than his nickname so no one would know they are close."To my knowledge you've never once had a PPV event match in LAW. So how would it feel for your first ever LAW PPV fight to be in the roman coliseum at FIGHT THE LAW!!!!" Gloria continued on speaking before raising her voice to be more dramatic when she openly challenged him to the Rome week of the upcoming LAW event lifting her arm up to do a dramatic point! Her voice rang as she did this with many audience members beginning to cheer at the prospect of seeing the up-and-coming male wrestler get his shot at his fight LAW event. Gloria on the other hand knew what this match was, a clash between two family members and knew that if was going to happen why not have it take place in the Roman coliseum rather than some beach resort? But now everyone was looking at Danny even Gloria who kept her sharp glare at him not wanting to have any hint that they know each other. So it was all up to Danny to accept the match or not as everyone waited with baited breathe.

Danny stood there listening and tilted his head. He looked on guard but that was only to sell him not knowing who this was. He knew he wouldn't get sucker punched or attacked right now but appearances were everything. "You are right, I have never been on a PPV card. You are also right in assuming I would love to be on one. The Roman Colosseum is also quite the historic sight. Miss if you want a piece of me at that PPV consider it done. Chalking up a win on the big stage, then touring the Italian countryside with my fiancé really seems like a perfect vacation. Consider the challenge accepted." Danny said with a big smile.

Facing his cousin would be a challenge but Danny was up to it. He also knew he had to get the win otherwise Irelia would never let him hear the end of it as they checked out Italy...

Gloria stood there with eager anticipation for what Danny was going to say next. Would he accept her challenge and have an epic battle between the next generation of Alaina's bloodline or would he refuse because something came in the way? Despite not being to show it she did have a light smile slowly form as Danny accept her challenge! "YES IT'S SO ON!!!!" Gloria thought to herself before having to let her body heave in an out with excitement, so she didn't break character. After a moment Gloria would pull the mic back to towards her lips and began to slowly walk towards the man."Well then I look forward to it. However, even though I am America's number one superhero I shall not hold back as you can clearly handle your own against a woman like me." Gloria smirked as she closed the distance between both of them with both of their chest being dressed against each other.

Gloria would lean her head down to show off a smile to let her cousin know how excited she was before leaning back. "I will say you're wife seems like a great lady I would love to meet her someday. Just know however I do know you have a thing for big women so don't try to be a villain and come to me if things go sideways in the relationship." Gloria chuckled taking a moment to flex out not just her arms but also her legs to empathize her point. Some people in the audience laughed at what seemed to be a flirtatious comment when in actuality Gloria was simply teasing one of her cousins as she gave him a playful wink. Obviously, she wasn't into Danny more so just messing with him like when they were kids at family reunions.

After a moment of an impressive gun show, Gloria reposition herself into a regular form standing still."All that leaves... is the rules..." Gloria said slowly and dramatically to get the crowds attention."Since we're fighting in the roman coliseum where gladiators fought for their lives we make it more exciting eh?" Gloria continued wanting to build up suspense as the crowd leaned in wondering what the match rules would. "How about... no tap outs, given our muscles why not you can only win by pinfall or Knockout? Is that a deal?" Gloria added on at the end shooting a challenging glare at Danny as she stood up straight letting her muscles tighten up for dramatic effect as she stared at her cousin. To empathize her challenge even more she put her hand out for a shake, if Danny shook it, he would agree but if not than the match would be off. "I know we used to play wrestle as kids but now we can finally go head to head.... I just hope I finally beat you, Danny." Gloria said to herself being reminded of all the times they wrestled as kids and Danny would come out the winner. Will Danny accept the rules she laid out or not? It was all up to him now.

Danny listened as Glora made her pitch and he couldn't help but roll his eyes when she mentioned Irelia. Of course Gloria was making things weird by saying things no one else would say. "Yeah, she is pretty great. I did ask her to marry me and all so... yeah." Danny said trying not to laugh. As he kept himself from grinning, doing his best to look serious Gloria kept talking.

The rules of the challenge. Danny nodded and looked at her staring her right in the eye. "Sounds good to me. Just be ready because I won't hold back" Danny added with a grin as he shook the hands of the complete stranger he was not at all related to.

Was it weird for Gloria to comment about Danny's future wife? Yes, but she had to throw off people in the audience to make sure they knew nothing about their family ties Even then, Gloria was still able to tell that Danny was doing all he could to not burst into laughter from her comments. When it came time for Danny's answer. he didn't disappoint in the slightest. When he agreed to her challenge a grin would grow as she shook the hands of Danny as she leaned into his earlope."Meet me in my locker room and we can catch up kay?" She giggled as she pulled her head back and let go of his hand. "Well if that is the case than I look forward to seeing in Rome Danny!" Gloria buffed out her chest going back into her superhero persona before turning to the audience. "And don't worry all of you lovely fans your hero will be there, and I will win!!" She extended her arm out pointing to the audience dragging it across and circling around so she could point at everyone before handing the mic back to the ref."Till then!" She smiled as she stood against the ropes waving before ducking under and existing the ring to head to her locker room to catch up with her family member.

Danny smiled and nodded. "I'll see you in Rome just don't be mad when you are left looking up at the arena lights." Danny said as she left. He stood with his arms crossed for a moment before leaving the ring himself, working his way backstage. As soon as he was out of view of the fans he was all smiles. He couldn't wait to see Sophia again. He walked past some of the crew he know nodding and fist bumping then as he made his way to meet up with Sophia.

As soon as he found the locker room he knocked and waited for the door to open. As soon as it did he would give Sophia a hug. "Nice attire, not sure anyone would figure out ya have family here wearing all that." Danny said. "If you thought I was going to be fooled though you are crazy. How have you been?" He asked, hoping to catch up. He was also hoping that all was well on her end it had been quite a while since he had seen Sophia.

As Gloria left the ring she couldn't help but chuckle at Danny's comeback as she turned her head to face him. "Oh trust me, the only colors you'll see is Red, White and Blue when you wake up." She giggled as she hoped off the ring side to meet her cousin backstage in her locker room. Once she was there she undid her cape and once she heard a knock on the door a childish smile would grow as she opened it to be welcomed by her cousin hugging her which she returned by wrapping her arms around him. "Well of course that's the whole point of a secret identity." Sophia chuckled as she spun around holding her cousin in the air before setting him feet down on the floor before turning the door and making sure it was locked so no one could walk in on their talk.


"Is that so? Sophia smirked at Danny's statement as she turned around to face her relative while removing her simple yet effective red mask to look at him."I have "Matured" Since we last met." She playfully teased as she ran her hands down to her hips and giving a light flex of her muscles. When asked about how she's been Sophia went to sit down on the bench even gesturing Danny to sit down as well. Once she sat, she crossed her legs and thought about would have her pointer finger tap her chin as she stopped to think about all that has happened since they last met. "We'll not to brag or anything but I did win multiple belts during my indie tour. Not as much as Aunt Alaina but close enough to where I'd be seen as a reasonable contender for her gold. What about you Danny?" Sophia added on, while she normally likes to stay humble about her accomplishments whenever she was talking about it with friends and especially family she didn't mind having a tiny bit of giddiness about her accolades. At the end she would narrow her eyes with a cheeky look on her face wanting to ask what Danny has done in the years since they've met to see if see if he could one up her.

Danny nodded as Sophia spoke. "I followed as much of that as I could, it was great seeing ya with gold around your waist." He added with a smile. As for him his story was a bit more grounded and less exiting.

"I have just been primarily a strength coach for LAW, sometimes stepping into the ring." Danny said with a shrug. "That is how I met Irelia and I have a fair list of clients which keeps growing. Not as exciting as traveling all over the independent circuit but I've been really happy with it. Right now wedding planning has been keeping us busy too." He said with a shrug.
