Out for Revenge (Captain L)
“HARDCORE COUNTRY!”
Brenna came out to a sea of boos in the arena as she scoffed the crowd off. She still felt the humiliation from losing to Marzia. Marzia! The girls who is pretty much LAW’s personal punching bag at this point in her career! It was her team’s fault, but she would deal with them both later. She had a score to settle with this rookie and she would make herself very clear.
She hopped up on the apron and got in the ring asking for a mic. She was handed one and looked towards the ramp.
“Ah’ve had enough of waiting for this prissy little goodie two-shoes! Get yer ass out here, Marzia!” Breanna yelled in blant anger as she walked around waiting for her adversary to show her face.

Re: Out for Revenge (Captain L)
Backstage, Marzia Servelli was minding her own business, drinking a cup of coffee as she sat by herself at the table. As far as she was aware she was done for the night, and they wouldn't have any more matches or promos to book her in - not that she would really have much to say in a promo anyway, of course, as she was still getting used to speaking in front of so many people, and knowing that so many eyes were on her. Right now, though, all her concerns felt far in the distance, and she was happy to have a moment of quiet in a hectic business.
...That was, until she heard her name coming from the ring.
At first, the Italian wrestler jumped in her seat, pushing her cup aside on the counter. She thought she misheard at first, thinking there was no possible way that this could be happening; they must have meant someone else. But it soon became apparent that she was wrong, as a couple of LAW interns showed up to point her towards the ring, making sure she got the message. Indeed, Marzia did. She jumped up to her feet before they had even said a word, the message was clear. Sensing the urgency, Marzia ran out to the ring...
And when she saw who was standing there, she froze.
Standing there in the ring was Breanna Laney, the woman who had been committed to making her life hell all this time. It wasn't so much the antagonism she showed that intimidated her as it was the fact the two had once been friends, that they had met in a match that had convinced Marzia that Breanna was one to be trusted. They even had a promising tag team offered, and Marzia was ready to make herself known, to better step up and take her place where she belonged...and then Breanna had betrayed her, before the two even had the time to shine.
As Marzia's eyes fixed on Breanna, she took in a gulp, but her hand balled into a fist. Her whole body tense, she struggled to form a good response, standing there and staring down her rival for a time. Then, though, she spoke. "What...what do you want-!?"

Re: Out for Revenge (Captain L)
Breanna saw the fear in Marzia’s eyes and knew she had that rope around her to reel her in. Breanna smirked and raised her mic.
“You got a lot to answer for. You embarrassed me in that match with our respective teams and you made the top of my enemy list. Now, look at ya, all alone and no more friends to coddle little Marzia. What a joke! You can’t even win one match in this company any more and you call yourself an underdog. Ah can’t even begin to think what those ladies in the back think, but ah’ll tell you what I think. You’re a joke!” Brenna explained.
Breanna had so much anger to fish out at Marzia and she figured she might as well go after what hurt.

Re: Out for Revenge (Captain L)
Though Marzia might have been tense before, now things were different. Now, Breanna had crossed a line - and she was angry. She snorted with rage, balling both her fists now as she stomped her foot on the ground. Marzia worried if her performance in the ring was ever going to be good enough to compete with the others, and Breanna knew it. And now, she was going after her fears and worries - mocking her for it, no less! It may not have been an official match - but Marzia was fully prepared to give Breanna a piece of her mind.
"You...you shut up-!" she shouted, already making her way down the ramp before she even knew what she was doing. "I beat you in a tag match, sure...but I did my part just as much as everyone else! And what about you? Your own teammates were the ones beating the tar out of you! How can you talk about me being a joke when no one would ever dare take your side? You...you're poison, and everyone knows it!"

“You wanna see poison, hun? Get your ass down here and ah’ll show you poison! They will get their beatings in due time, but you are my prime target. You couldn’t beat me on your best day.” Breanna explained.
Breanna whipped Marzia around in her debut match with LAW and she thought she could see potential in Marzia, but she realized that Marzia couldn’t win a match to save her life and she decided to taunt her about it.
“You think ah care about these fans’ opinions on me...hell no! Ah actually win unlike you. How are you not the Loser Champion by now?” Breanna asked and she knew well she just struck a nerve.

Re: Out for Revenge (Captain L)
A hot flush came to Marzia's cheeks as she listened to Breanna's taunts, and her eye twitched ever so slightly. For those looking closely enough, they might even be able to see a tremble in how she stood. Breanna was going after the deepest fears in the darkest reaches of Marzia's mind - her own fear of failure. Marzia hadn't had the best run in LAW thus far, and every loss left her with a deep sense of disappointment. She wanted to make a name for herself and prove herself capable, but as time went on she was faced with greater and greater odds. The last thing Marzia wanted was to be remembered as a jobber, as someone who never stood a chance, and yet, every victory she made was precious to her, something to celebrate. The exception, rather than the norm.
But Marzia wouldn't give up. That was the same advice that had carried her in her matches, and she would have to put it to use here. Never give up. Not even in the face of those who would doubt you. She sucked in a breath, glaring at Breanna defiantly as she dug her heels against the ground.
"Yeah...my win record hasn't been as good as I'd like, but...so what?" she said. "I learn from my failures. After every match I get better and better at what I do. I go back and train, so I won't make the same mistakes. Because I know that some day...my day will come. And I'll be ready for it. I don't care if it happens tomorrow, or twelve years from now-! But I do know one thing...and it's that you'll see where your treachery will get you, and that'll happen soon!"

Breanna scoffed her little speech and waved her off.
“Tell ya what, you and me one more time. Ah don’t care when and don’t care where. To make it more interesting, let’s take this fight to the crowd. Falls Count Anywhere! How about some stakes?” Breanna offered.

Re: Out for Revenge (Captain L)
It irritated Marzia that Breanna would give her speech so little regard, as she crossed her arms and growled at her. Nevertheless, Breanna had made an offer - and the Italian looked her dead in the eyes, nodding.
"Falls count anywhere? You're on," she said. She bit the inside of her cheek, trying to keep a cool head. Sure, there would be a lot on the line. But if Marzia backed down now? There would be nothing she could do to redeem her image. It'd be running away in the face of a challenge from her foe, and she knew Breanna wouldn't let that go. That would be the ultimate humiliation. And more importantly...she'd get the chance to show Breanna a few things she'd learned. Marzia stood straight, cracking her knuckles. "I'll beat you without any help. No questions asked."
Then the matter went to stakes, and Marzia started to shrink back a little - what if they wanted to make her do something embarrassing? She shook that out of her head, not wanting it to hold her back. Instead, she would try and weaken Breanna's guard with another taunt. "I'd make it Loser Leaves Town, but it'd be a shame to give up on beating you another time, because no matter what happens in this match, you deserve so much more!"

“Ah was thinking...your entire career on the line. If you lose, your embarrassment to the wrestling profession comes to an end and you must retire forever. No more running, Princess, because I beat you once and took our friendship. Now, I’ll do it again and take your career.” Breanna explained.
Breanna knee that Marzia would be enraged and maybe a little hesistant to accept. That’s what she wanted...for Marzia to just run for the hills and hide. To be the scared little girl she knew Marzia was.
“In fact, ah won’t get any help either. No heels or faces, just you and me...but I’m fair. How about you give me stake if you win? Also, don’t bother with that retirement stake, because ah don’t plan on agreeing to those terms. Ah wanna see if you can actually make a plausible threat.”

Re: Out for Revenge (Captain L)
Hearing these words, Marzia froze, staring blankly off into space. For just a moment she started to let down her guard, her fingers slipping out of the coiled fist she had assumed as she straightened from her stance.
This was big. Her entire career on the line like this. The message was clear - either Marzia would win, or her career in wrestling was over for good. There were big things at stake, more than anything she had ever faced before. Either she would prosper...or she would have to find another job. And Marzia had been putting so much of her life into wrestling that she couldn't begin to imagine where else she would go. It was a scary preposition.
But it was one she had to meet. She couldn't just give up - especially not to Breanna. The country girl had her in a trap. No matter what she said, she would be risking her career. Either by staking it on the match, or proving herself unwilling to rise to the challenge, thus throwing her whole reputation under the bus. Ultimately, she decided, she would have to accept. But she would have to put up a good wager in return.
And after a while, she thought of it.
"...Yeah. You've got it," Marzia said. "And if I win...then you'll have to become my tag partner, for real this time. That way, you'll have to work with this 'loser', no matter what, like it or not. And I can make sure you won't get yourself into trouble. So...what will it be?"
