Hello hello! Thank you all for tuning into LAW's Talent Show! As a reminder on logistics:
This event will take place in this one thread. Individual performances will be written like promos: One post in short story format, where your character shows off what they can do (or fails in funny/sexy/endearing fashion). Each performance will be its own reply. There is no order - post whenever you want.
You can write performances for as many characters as you want, as long as they're given one post each!
Groups of characters can do a performance together. Just make sure the entire performance is written in one post, and in short story format rather than RP format. If you go this route, it's your responsibility to stitch it all together -- but please be creative!
Performances don't have to be completely SFW (especially if a performance goes wrong!), but we aren't looking for straight-up porn. Think rated R, not rated X. Funny and raunchy are fine. Railing your tag team partner isn't the sort of talent that fits this event!
Performances do not have to be approved by me, but if you think what you're planning might break the vibes/tone, please do run it past me. We're going for a fun, lighthearted event showing off aspects of LAW characters that we don't always get to see!
This event will be written on an ongoing basis, so it will be considered complete once people are done submitting their posts.
And previously unannounced, please feel free to mention the staff characters who are present for this event as part of your writeups. If you need an assistant, someone to taste a dish, or any hand at all, these would be great candidates. This includes:
LAW Chief Financial Officer Tobiko Tadashi, who pushed for this event in the front office
LAW-sponsored streamer Allie Lee, the MC for tonight's festivities
Magazine writer, intern manager, and jobber Shiori Takeda, sitting ringside as part of her duties for the Magazine
Others with staff characters are definitely free to volunteer said characters; just DM me here or on Discord so I can add them to the list. You are highly suggested to reach out to users who are writing characters you'd like to mention, to run your idea past them.

Professional wrestling was a business governed by custom as much as by reason. Tobiko Tadashi only barely understood why every high-profile staff member should have their own entrance theme; again, it was the culture more than anything else.
On a night like tonight, however, the pomp and circumstance was… appreciated. The more exciting this production was, the more eyes would be drawn. And the more eyes that were drawn, the better of a test this Talent Show would be.
LAW's men and women were world-famous for being dangerous, sexy, and willing to put their bodies on the line night-in and night-out. In this age of over-saturated information in the palm of our hands, however, it was only natural that people would seek to know more about their favorite fighters. Tonight's festivities offered an inkling of that—what were these wrestlers, beyond wrestlers?
Tonight, countless performers would show their talents, drawing eyes, buzz, and clicks. Once Tobiko zeroed in on who drew what audiences, that would be the start of a new era for LAW. Conventions. Backstage passes. Fan events. Social media and multimedia. No longer would these be limited to mere interaction; each would be an opportunity to show off these talents… and monetize them.
It was perhaps fitting, then, that Tobiko had chosen the theme she did. It was the perfect mix of classic and classical, while also indicating the value she imparted on this company. After tonight, her star would rise even further in the business of wrestling, and LAW's coffers would be even more full.
Tobiko strode down the entrance ramp, paying no mind to the baying masses on either side. She stepped daintily into the ring, a mic already in her hand. One click of its switch, and the night was on. "Thank you!" she started. "Thank you all for being here tonight. Those of you who have come out to the arena–" She opened her arms, triggering vast cheers from the assembled faithful. "–those who are tuning in live on our network and streaming partners–" Next came a gesture to a camera, hoping that the night's lead production assistant would properly switch feeds. Of course, that production assistant being her son Ryotaro, Tobiko had faith. "–and all who will see this online in the coming days and weeks. You truly are what makes LAW such a success."
"When I approached Dan with the idea for this Talent Show, we knew we were embarking on something big. Something that would highlight our locker room in a way that had rarely been explored in this business." Always take credit. Especially when it was earned. "And seeing you all out here—seeing how many people are just as invested as I am in the bottomless well of skill that LAW has to offer… It brings me great joy." Applause filled her ears, with some small whoops and hollers scattered about. Perhaps she was no Darina Daybreak, but Tobiko knew her PR at least.
"But I won't prattle on for long. You know what you are getting into, and I am no purveyor of 'hype.'" The crowd laughed at her rare display of self-deprecation. "I only come up with ideas and help our people fund them into reality. No, who you're really wanting to hear from is our Master of Ceremonies. Please welcome none other than the inimitable… Allie Lee!"

The show was about to begin. And when the lights came on, they shone down on none other than Allie Lee - popular Twitch streamer, influencer, and LAW partner and Twitter Ambassador. It might have started with her just advertising LAW events in her streams, but it was clear that it was working. Allie’s sponsorship deal had drawn new eyes to LAW, and the promotion was growing more popular than ever. Growing more confident in the deal, LAW executives had shot for closer integration with Allie’s streams, and she had played more and more of an on-screen presence in recent months. She had been present at the table as a guest commentator on a few shows, and LAW had helped set up her ironwoman match with Chiaki Nanami for one of her charity streams. Every experiment grew more and more successful than the last, and the more buzz was drawn to Allie’s appearances, the more LAW’s profile rose to match. So it was only natural that the next step for Allie would be hosting a special show of her own! Spoiler
Right away, the blonde was happy as ever to play to the cameras. She was standing proud in the middle of the ring, and the moment she saw the cameras were running, she flashed a grin and waved her hand excitedly, hopping up and down in place. ”Hellllloooooooo everybody!! Hello to all the Kawaii Kommandos out there, and to all the rest of you tuning in for the one and only, very special, LAW Talent Show!!” Just to add some extra flourish, she spun around on her heel - only to stop a moment later, holding her head as she tried to calm down from the dizziness that entailed. ”Urk-! Okay, bad idea…” But nevertheless, she cleared her throat and stood up a little straighter.
”We’ve seen ‘em in the ring time and time again. We know their moves, their stunts, their finishers. To a die-hard LAW fan like you or me, the wrestlers of this fine company truly need no introduction! But as I’m sure you know, the folks at LAW are more than just wrestlers! Everyone in this company has a little bit of something extra they can bring to the table - something that stands out and makes them unique! Something they might not ordinarily get to show to the world - but tonight, it’s their time to shine! Tonight’s the night we devote a little attention to the sides of our favorite LAW stars we don’t often get to see - the talents that set them apart from the rest, even outside the ring! I’m super duper excited to see it all, guys - and I hope you are too, ‘cuz it’s gonna be lit!”
“So, with all that said…” Allie cleared her throat, then gestured to the entrance ramp. ”Let’s put our hands together for our first talented entrant!”
From the moment the song started, Shanty appeared on the stage with her head bopping to the music as she bounced on her toes. Once the lyrics started to blare from the speakers, the Scurvy Stowaway stepped back and started to sway to the beat of the music. As it continued, Shanty started throwing some kicks in the air while also using her acrobatic prowess which really dazzled the crowd. When the second chorus ended, she stopped dancing and adjusted her neck while doing some light stretches before she started to bounce on her toes again. Shanty would then show that she had legs and knew how to use ‘em with her taekwondo training, executing a tornado kick with ease.
As the last chorus started playing, Shanty returned to her capoeira stance and showed off her flexibility by preforming some gymnastics. And as the song was reaching its finale, she switched between taekwondo and capoeira kicks before preforming a handstand to finish her routine. The Scurvy Stowaway started to pant as sweat dripped down her face while holding her pose, waiting for the audience’s reaction. A rousing round of applause and cheers would fill the crowd as they were amazed by Shanty’s spectacular display, causing her to shed tears of joy as she bowed to the crowd before leaving the ring and heading back to the locker room to wipe herself down with a towel.

"What a great performance!" Allie cheered once Shanty had finished up and left the stage. "Up next, we've got one of LAW's top wrestlers here to show you all just what her body can do! Give it up for Tiki Lowell!" Tiki
Tiki's Theme
Tiki made her entrance, dressed in her red bikini with a watermelon under each arm. She was somewhat surprised that they had a performance as messy as hers would be going this early, but the veteran figured that it wasn't as bad as keeping all the rest of her props taking up space backstage. "Good day to you all," she said, taking a mic. "Today I'll be doing something that I have done before in a match entrance or two; crushing watermelons with my thighs."
"Ooh, sexy," Allie said. "So how are you gonna step things up from when you've done it before? Gonna crush both at once?"
"Oh, I've got a lot more than just the two." At Tiki's prompting, three dollies full of watermelons were brought out from backstage and wheeled to the ring.
"H-How many is that?" Allie asked, mouth agape.
"48. Plus the 2 in my arms makes 50," Tiki said. "And it is my goal to crush all of them within a 3 minute window." The veteran then sighed. "I wanted to do 100 in 7, but Ms. Tadashi said that would take up too much space. Now I'll need two assistants, one to place the watermelons between my legs," Tiki passed one of her watermelons to Allie, delegating the role to her. "And I'll need another person to clear out the watermelons from between my legs after i crush them."
"I know just the person for that. Shiori! Get in here!" called the host.
"Ooh! Already!" Shiori Takeda squealed as she clambered from her seat to get into the ring, nearly faceplanting on the way. "Hehe, it's an honor to be here with you Ms. Lowell. I've been following your matches since before you even came to LAW! You're a legend!"
"And it's a pleasure to work with you Shiori," Tiki said. "Now a bit of arithmetic. To crush 50 watermelons in 3 minutes, I'll need to go at a rate of 3.6 seconds per watermelon. That's including the time it will take to replace each watermelon, so I'll be relying on you two to be quick and clean with clearing out the destroyed watermelons and getting the new ones in."
"Aye ayes, Thunder Thighs!"
"I won't disappoint you Ms. Lowell!
Tiki sat down leaning back, placing the first watermelon between her thighs, hands at her stomach, knees up, and ankles crossed. She exhaled, SQUELCH! And like that it was on as the first watermelon gave way to Tiki's mighty legs. Shiori scooped out the remains, and Allie placed the next one in. Crush, out, in. Crush, out, in. The skin of Tiki's thighs was stained red with juice, her bikini bottoms as well, though somewhat protected by being a matching red to the watermelons.
Tiki's endeavor was a marathon of both strength and endurance. Her core tightening as it forced pressure downwards into the watermelon, her thighs bulging as the engulfed fruit after fruit until it broke. Even her arms and chest tensed slightly with the rest of her body with each repeated motion to transform green into red.
Tiki was well ahead of pace after two minutes, but that was when she started to noticeably slow down. Few times even, her initial squeeze didn't do the job, and she had to give a second extra push with a grunt as Tiki's force lifted her hips up off of the ground to make certain the watermelon didn't survive a second try. There were hiccups as the adhesive Tiki applied to her legs to prevent the juice from previous watermelons from making the future ones slip began to fail. But the veteran kept pushing.
In the end, it came down to 3 watermelons left and 12 seconds to go. "Hrrrngg!" Tiki's face grimaced with effort, red as her legs and teeth bared until she crushed the watermelon. 2 left, 8 seconds. Shiori out. Allie in. "GRAAH!" the veteran cried out as she refused to lose time on this one. 1 left, 4.5 seconds. Out. In. Tiki stayed much quieter this time, until. . . SQUELCH!"YEAH!"
Tiki flopped onto her back, chest heaving up and down with heavy breath as her arms went up above her head and her mighty legs finally got to go down and rest. She had a pink cloth that she often wore around her hips with her bikini laid to the side to wipe herself down with, but she was too tired to bother. "Wow! That was Amazing! I don't know if I could've crushed 1 in 3 minutes! FORGET 50!" The captain of the Kawaii Commandos then noticed how Shiori was looking at Tiki. There wasn't awe in her eyes, but desire. "Hey Shiori, bet you would mind having your head between those thighs, eh?"
"Yeah," Shiori's voice barely registered above a whisper, her mind clearly not registering what she had just agreed with to an international audience due to how wholly enamored she was with the mighty veteran.
"That could be arranged," Tiki said as she looked up at Shiori. "I wouldn't mind giving you a match if you're interested."
"Really? Ohyesyesthatwouldbe-"
"Cool it, fangirl," Allie said as she put a hand on Shiori's shoulder. "We still got a whole lotta show before you two can get at it. Hey everybody! Let's give one more round of applause for Tiki!" And applaud they did. Tiki walked out not just with very tired legs that didn't want to move, but also with the cheers of the entire arena.

As the ring was cleaned off from Tiki's demonstration, it was time for the next entrant in the talent show to take the stage. And the next entrant would be none other than the self-proclaimed Deadliest Woman Alive - Countess Isabella Caramelita Dante, Grandmaster of the Black Dragon Fighting Society and the woman who had perfected the Dim Mak to its most terrifying potential! At least, that was what she called herself, and anyone who had a problem with it would face the business end of her fist. She had already announced her intentions to enter the LAW Talent Show online, promising a most impressive display indeed, where she asserted that if anyone still doubted what she was capable of, she would have them silenced when she managed to kill a bull with one punch!
Which meant that it was rather conspicuous when Isabella stepped on stage with no bull in sight. Spoiler
"To all those watching..." she began, her brows furrowed in a glare as she grumbled under her breath. "You all know as well as I that on this night, I was to follow in the footsteps of bygone grandmasters of the Black Dragon Fighting Society, and KILL A BULL in a SINGLE BLOW!!" The contrast between Isabella's weedy, decidedly non-threatening frame and the claims she boasted of wasn't lost on anyone, and a few snickers could be heard - to which she hissed under her breath, her fist trembling at her side. "IT'S NOT FUNNY! Well...I WOULD be out here, demonstrating the TERRIFYING POWER of DIM MAK by killing a bull with one punch! Were it not for those, uh...those FOOLS at the SPCA that forced me to call the event off! I don't know why this sort of thing plagues the proud and noble Dante family as much as it does, but it just stands to prove that no one DARES respect the DEADLY POWER claimed by those who have mastered the most LETHAL and ADVANCED KUNG FU SECRETS!"
Now, the laughter was joined by a few boos, as the fans called out the Countess for wasting their time. In fact, some of those boos were coming from Allie herself, who leaned over the ropes with her hands cupped to her mouth. Though...hers were for other reasons. "Yeah! BOOOOO, SPCA! That would've been cool!"
Shiori blinked a few times. "Uh, would we even be allowed to show that?"
Regardless, Isabella was on stage with no bull, and nothing else to show for her time. After a few more seconds of awkward silence, she shrugged her shoulders. "So, uh...I guess that's that, then! If the idiots who believe they can tell the DEADLIEST WOMAN ALIVE what she can and can't do are to have their way...I've got nothing to do. But...rest assured that I TOTALLY CAN kill a bull with one punch, okay?"
By now, the boos had eclipsed any goodwill the fans might have had for Isabella. No one really believed the Countess really was going to kill a bull, in all seriousness, but this was proving to be a complete waste of their time. That just made her grumble louder, and she balled a fist in frustration as she turned to make her exit. "Whatever! Boo all you want! Idiots!!"
But Isabella wasn't alone. And even if her act might have been cut short...her loss would be the next participant's gain.
Standing right behind the curtains was none other than MMA veteran and LAW newcomer Alena Stepanova. She had come to LAW in the name of showing the world what she was capable of, and putting forth the proof she needed to back up her claims of being the greatest grappler in the world. She might not have had many matches to her name, but she was determined to make a name for herself, and putting herself out there with her skills on full display in this talent show seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so. Just behind her, in a wheeled cart, was a set of boards and cinderblocks that she was going to display her strength by breaking. But...now, Alena saw the opportunity to show the world something even better. Spoiler
"HOLD IT!!"
Isabella was just about to step through the curtains when Alena jumped out, getting right in her face. The self-proclaimed Grandmaster did a double take, looking back and forth in bewilderment as she stumbled back. "What!? What do you want?"
Alena clapped a fist against her chest, beaming proudly. "I am here! Alena Stepanova, Grand Duchess of the Octagon! If you can't perform your act...you may as well be put to good use in mine!"
"The hell is your problem!? I didn't ask for this-! This is my act!" Isabella could only tremble with rage at the thought that Alena was stealing the spotlight in her own segment - even if she was about to walk off in a huff, that part didn't matter; it was the principle of the thing. But it was too late. Alena's entry on the scene had only stoked the fans' interest all the more, and the cheers were coming louder than ever!
"Ooooh, this is getting interesting..." Allie mused, rubbing her hands together excitedly.
"Rrgh...FINE! If you want to be a part of my act so badly...I'll just show YOU the power of Dim Mak!!" Bellowing out a roar, Isabella whipped back her fist, prepared to slam it squarely into Alena's chest. But right as her fist came near, Alena ducked to the side, dodging the Countess's blow. At the same time, she brought up her hand to latch onto Isabella's elbow, halting it in midair - and gaining control! "You see," Alena began, "in going for a punch, my would-be opponent has just given me the perfect opportunity to exert my dominance over this altercation!"
"What are you even talking about!? This isn't your turn-!" Isabella gnashed her teeth in a fury. She had come out here to prove all of her doubters wrong - it would do her no good if she was going to let a nobody best her so easily!
Despite Dante's best efforts to fight back, though, Alena didn't pay her any heed - in fact, she kept on talking as though nothing had ever happened. "From here, I can bring my head beneath her arm while grabbing her by the leg..." Her arm slipped down to hook around the Countess's knee, as she ducked underneath her arm, leaving Isabella's arm draped over her shoulders. "...and I have the leverage I need to unseat my opponent's balance!" With that, she leaned her weight forward and pulled up on her opponent's leg, dumping Isabella's back against the mat as she sent the girl sprawling to the mat!
"Ghhk!! Gaah-!" Isabella dropped down, sputtering and gagging as her legs kicked in the air. But any efforts she made at resistance would prove futile. Eventually, she managed to roll onto her stomach and lift herself up to all fours. "Your technique is impressive, but this really isn't the time-" But right then, Alena threw a stomp against her back, knocking her back down flat on her face again. "KYAAH-!"
Alena dropped down behind Isabella, where she wasted no time in looping her arms around the Countess's own, then threw her legs around her waist. Thus in control, she pulled her against her chest before looking out into the crowd with a grin. "This position, in BJJ, is dubbed 'back control' - and is the most dominant position one can achieve in the discipline! You see, from where I am, my opponent essentially has no meaningful offense she can mount against me-"
Isabella was still groggy, but she heard that."HEY!!"
Again, though, Alena ignored her. "And that means I can execute no shortage of truly devastating moves!" She threw her arm around Isabella's throat; Dante went to grab for Alena's arm, glaring back at her out of the corner of her eye, but that was exactly what the Russian girl wanted. She latched onto her wrist, tightening down the pressure around Isabella's throat. And then, she kicked up her leg, going to grab onto her ankle to lock the limb across the Countess's neck too! To the sound of cheers, she rolled her weight over to the side, then brought up her other leg to lock it around the ankle of the first. In the end, Alena was applying pressure on both Isabella's throat and on the arm she had used to try and fight back, entrapping her in a back triangle choke! Spoiler
Now, Isabella's eyes had gone wide in shock as she looked up at Alena from below. She tried to twist and turn and shake her head, but she didn't have the room to so much as budge! She couldn't even get out any words in her defense - everything was muffled in her throat from lack of air, as Alena crushed her windpipe! "M-MMFF!! MRF!!!"
"As you can see," Alena continued, "by bringing my foot up and grabbing onto it, I can secure control over her neck and upper body, and direct its movement. And as I roll back, bringing up my other leg, I can entrap her arm as well, in the dreaded triangle choke! Now, I've not only targeted her vulnerable airways; I've also secured control over her arm, to prevent any attempt she might have to fight back. And now, it should only be a matter of time..."
Isabella struggled aimlessly, but Alena just squeezed her legs tighter together - each time wringing more and more air out of the Countess's lungs and leaving her sputtering and gagging! The fans rang out with cheers and wolf-whistles, many of them snapping photos! Before long, Isabella's struggles began to slow and grow slack, until the life finally left her body, and she fell limp in Alena's grasp. From there, Alena let go, rolling aside. She picked herself back up to her feet and dusted herself off - and the Countess slumped unconscious to the ground below.
"And that's how you counter into a triangle choke!" Alena proclaimed, clapping a fist against her chest. "Any questions?" But there were only cheers in response - including from Allie herself!
"That was AWESOME!! Now I wanna see a match between these two, for real!"
"I'd be careful about that one," Shiori chimed in - "this Dante lady says that she can kill someone with a single touch! I've never seen her do that, granted, but she means business!"
"With that," Alena said, "I'd say I can make my leave!" She lifted herself to her feet, in the process picking up Isabella's limp body and draping it over her shoulders. Though, just for good measure, as she left the stage, she tossed Isabella into the cart of boards and bricks she was going to demonstrate breaking. Isabella came crashing through them all, scattering them everywhere - and, indeed, breaking a few boards straight through the middle on the way down. Alena smirked to herself at the sight of her handiwork. Apparently she did get some use out of that after all.
