After last year’s success in California and despite the ending resulting into a big brawl between Jenna and Tammy the LAW Press Conference ended up being a smash hit and Robin had been given the approval to do the same for another or at least continue to be in control of it. Jenna and Tammy were still employed but put on a tighter leash, as they were told by a very stern GM after their fight “If you want to throw down, sign a contract.” Neither signed one, they very much liked being able to say what they wanted without the chance to be punched in the face by someone who knew how to fight. They spent the past year staying in the company's good graces and were just as happy to be here. Since the last Conference Robin kept herself in the shadows. She hadn’t wrestled all year but she still made just as much money under Celeste and working backstage with LAW while she still had plans to wrestle her goals were bigger than just wrestling for a paycheck and getting this to go again made her feel like she was actually accomplishing something. “We’re going live in 10, remember girls don’t make a scene this is about the PPV not your egos.” Jenna glared at her and Tammy gave a very muted response calling her ma’am. “Good people of LAW it’s been a long year since the last epic PPV when we took the fight to America and proved that our girls kick ass no matter the place. Over the next few weeks we will slowly learn more and more about the upcoming show, and who to expect on it, it’s a given that you will see every champ but who else? Will anyone make a surprise appearance? How many new champs will we make? So many questions but don’t worry we don’t like to leave you hanging. “Speaking of rumors.” Jenna spoke up, all too happy to cut off Tammy. “We know some fans and wrestlers have been hearing mutters about the only championship that hasn’t debuted yet, the LAW Openweight Championship.” Jenna took a brief moment to let the viewers take in what she said, such a shift in topics was important since the title had been a constant point of conversation since it was announced to be in the works. “If you remember some time ago there were a number of interviews about the Belt above all belts from more than a few wrestlers, from all across the board. Jobbers to Main eventers all know what holding that title means and they all know what being the first one to do it means. This gave everyone in charge some perspective, and they all agreed that this couldn’t be handled like any other belt, no gauntlet matches, Title hunt, or tournament would be enough to give everyone a fair share. So they came up with another event for the wrestlers to show how much they want it and to provide the fans with endless amounts of entertainment to make this year really special. LAW Apex, an entire PPV built around deciding who will become the champ, more details will soon be announced but what we do know now is that anyone, so long as you are employed by LAW as a wrestler has a chance at being at LAW Apex and winning the gold. Some have better chances than others but that’s just life. It's only fair that people who have the body of work of the past have it easier and that should motivate the new faces or those further behind to work harder.” Once Jenna was finished Robin decided to step in again.

“Between We Are LAW 5 and LAW Apex we are looking at what could be one of the busiest times in the company once we make history once again. Tammy came up to greet her and after a handshake would look back at the camera. “Amber as some of you would know was one of the 5 teams competing for the right to be the first tag team champ, they didn’t win but that hasn’t stopped her from making history in another way as the first LAWless champion.” “That is correct, I was always going to become a champ here, but I have to admit I still wish we won that gauntlet.” “Even with the announcement that the Openweight title is coming and you being a former champ have a strong case for being the first holder the tag belt is still on your mind?” “Of course! I can win that belt but it won’t put respect on the names of the Pom Pom Punchers. I can do both but I have time to get there and as you said I already have a foot in the door as a LAWless champ. Trust me my mind is focused on all the gold I can get, at LAW Apex I will climb the mountain and become the Openweight champ to prove that Amber Skye is the real deal. But I also wanted to talk about We Are LAW 5. You see for over a year now me and Cheryl have been making splashes in the tag team division, we beat everyone we ever face out there, and the one and only loss as a tag team ever is that gauntlet! Do you think that doesn’t bother us? If you did you’re thinking of some fake teams because we have never forgiven ourselves for it. Cheryl isn’t here now but she shares the sentiment that if we were the champs the tag belts would feel more important than they’ve been treated up till now.” Tammy actually looked shocked at that but Robin smiled, she had called Amber exactly for this reason.. “Wait a minute? We’re big fans of them she doesn’t know it but once Kat and Tracy signed some merch for me before any of us were in LAW. I love the fact that they are here! But I’m not just a fan anymore I’m a spirited competitor and as a competitor I have to say that despite claiming to be the best tag team they have utterly failed as tag champs. When is the last time Astrid went through a PPV without a title match? Hmm? Or Lillian? Or Rose Gold? Or Rei? Despite the Cats having 3 members of equal value when Kat got hurt in her whittle I quit match to a bug of some kind they do a cute call out because I guess the champs didn’t have a challenge ready despite having many challengers like us and when we do come out to face them it gets canceled and the Cats just accept that, they had two perfectly healthy members and they just let the golden moment to show they mean business walk by them? I would never allow that to happen if me and Cheryl were champs. Never! On the outside looking in it feels like those belts are just props to them, tickets to LAW Apex they intend to cash in and coast to try and win another belt while barely defending the old one. Thankfully I have an easy fix that can prove that idea wrong. Once again I’m making it clear that I want the tag belts and we have a PPV right around the corner, I know you don’t have an opponent lined up yet just like last year so make it easy for yourself and pick the most obvious choice and when we beat you you can run along off to Apex to try and be the Openweight Cats. I’ll kick your asses at that event as well if I have to so don’t make me wait or the beating you’ll get no matter what will come with a bit more pent up rage. Your call. Now.
