Lexy's Lexinomicon: PSA

Unread post by winner3 »

Lexy had requested a moment to do a PSA following the first monthly installment of her recap show. Here, she was to cover the news and recent happenings on LAW. The stage was still set, but many of the lights were off. Her phone was going off with praise for her content, but many people messaging were leaving criticisms and disparaging remarks for the "star ratings" she gave to certain matches.

Sitting at her desk on the stage of her talk show, Lexy prepped her notes and got right into. There were far fewer lights on the set than there were during her show. This news coverage and PSA seemed to come at the last second as her staff was trying to close things out, so she got right into it!

"Before we close out, let's do a quick overview of LAW news! Coming out of We Are LAW 2021, I'm happy to say we've crowned a NNNNEEEEWWWWW LAW Heavyweight Champion in Astrid Ostberg! Congratulations Astrid! I'm sure Linda will look to redeem herself as she pursues other efforts. But let's look forward to seeing what type of heavyweight title reign and what sort of wrestlers we'll see challenge for the belt while she's champ And let's look forward to the continued growth and prosperity of the title scene at LAW!"

"And speaking of growth and prosperity, it has been announced that we will crown a LAWLESS champion at the next We Are LAW, coming at you at the end of this year. We Are LAW 2021 will feature more title defenses, an inaugural LAWLESS champion, and several high-profile matches from some of the biggest stars at this company! Don't forget to check it out!"

"And the last new development I'm being asked to discuss is the advent of LAW Twitter! Several wrestlers, staff have created one! There's even an official L.A.W. company twitter! It's been hustling and bustling! I'm being told not to create one since I'd no doubt receive some backlash for my opinions on wrestlers here. Thank goodness, they gave me a top-notch security team for my airings. And since I'm pretty much safe here, let me get one complaint off my chest that I've seen from some select heels on twitter. You know who you are, ladies."

"Telling everyone they don't matter unless they have a championship title is the laziest, saddest 'roast' I've seen from some of you on twitter. Certified weak sauce!"

" 'Come back and talk to me when you have a title. 'Don't pipe up unless you have a belt.' 'I can't waste my time on you unless you have something worth fighting for, like a belt' "

"Newsflash: if championships were the only thing worth fighting for in professional wrestling, every match would be for a championship! Across the entire world, every company, even every match in the undercard, people would only ever wrestle if a title was involved!"

"So grow up! A championship has value because good wrestlers want it because talented people fight for it and build a case for it. A championship is given value when it has a competent champion AND competent challengers fighting for it! So when you go around saying you'll only fight for titles, even though you have like 2 matches wrestled here at LAW. Or when you go around saying that you're better than everyone else because you have a belt and they don't, even when they've done plenty to build their case as a challenger to your belt, you look like a paper champion! You look scared!"

"Build this company up without needing to breaking other people down. Build your title reigns and title chases up without the need to put others down. Build yourself up without needing to putting others down."

"All you keyboard warriors out there have been put on notice! Lexy Alan - out!"
