LAW PPV's and Special Events.

In the backstage area, a small make up crew was hard at work trying to make the CEO of LAW look as presentable as he could be. They adjusted his suit, combed his hair, and seemed to ceaselessly slave away to ensure that he was ready to make his big announcement on camera. Daniel reached up at his tie to adjust it, but one of the makeup artists tightened it again and insisted he wear it that way.

"Sheesh, really? Will a lose tie kill anyone?! I don't quite understand why I'm the one that needs to make this announcement anyways! We have a ring announcer, right? The one that declares the matches before the wrestlers' entrances. We pay her to announce things,
right? I'm totally cool with letting her do this instead."

Dan's ranting was only met with widespread disagreement. The staff backstage with him all felt that for new this big, their companies foremost representative would need to the one to deliver it. Of course, he had signed off on the idea initially. But DeFranco was still trying to escape, last minute. After a plethora of groans and shaking heads convinced him otherwise, along with the costs of production and the expectations of fans providing overwhelming justification for his appearance, he finally caved and cross his arms, accepting that he was to go on in a few minutes. The fans grew antsy with anticipation of meeting the boss in LAW. With each passing minute, the clamoring from the audience got louder. Several moments passed, but sure enough, he got his cue, and his theme song sounded. The man stood tall and entered the arena, greeting the fans with a wave as he marched towards the ring.



He would climb the steel steps near the ring post and duck between the top and middle rope to enter the ring. A worker within the ring would hand a microphone off to him before swiftly making he exit. Dan would take a moment to bask in the seemingly ubiquitous crowd reaction. After several second, he'd clear his throat and begin to speak.

"Yeah, it's awesome to meet you fans, too!" he'd say with a smile on his face.

"Thank you. Thank you all so much for joining us tonight. For getting invested in us the same way we're invested in you. We know League of Anime Wrestling is the new kid on the block compared to some of these other Japanese wrestling companies. But we've gained traction quickly. Much more quickly than any of the others have. And there's a reason for that...." DeFranco paused for a moment before slowly pointing to the crowd. "And that's you guys! Never forget that. You guys keep us going. You guys are the reason I work hard behind the scenes. You guys are the reason that I created the L-A-W."

The fans would erupt with cheers and chant to show thanks for the Dan and his love for them. They knew it was playing up the moments before his big announcement, but he did so in a way that was endearing to them. After a long pause to allow the cheering to wane a bit, he'd continue.
"So I don't need to go into the specifics. I'll try to get right to it.....none of the wrestler that have signed up have had the pleasure of meeting me personally in my office...and that's because, well it's very well hidden. I swear. Go backstage right now, you'll never find it. But you people COULD find it, you can bet that half the roster of ladies would be beating my door down every other day asking, demanding,
FORCING me to to answer the question..."When's pay per view? How do I get on the card? Put me in a match against so and so. Well, getting us well established enough so that we can even have pay per view specials to begin with was a task in and of itself. So, I'm pleased to announce that LAW has negotiated a deal. From this moment in time onwards, the League of Anime wrestling will be conducting special events and pay per views in the esteemed and legendary Kōrakuen Hall!"

Many fans were familiar with the innumerable amounts of legendary boxing, wrestling, and mma tournaments that had taken place in the Tokyo Dome. The majority of the audience got on their feet and cheered the announcement of LAW pay per views wildly. It was safe to say that everyone involved in the wrestling industry in any way, shape, or form would be receptive to the news. Dan would begin to make his leave the ring as the cheering continued. He knew other questions and concerns would eventually be raised regarding the matter. And the truth is, not all the logistics had been worked out yet, but the venue was secured. And the esteem of their ppv location would be sure to facilitate LAW matches that people would remember for years on end.
