Death Wish

LAW's weeky show had been going for around fourty minutes now. The packed arena had enjoyed several hard hitting matches, but a few moments after the the combatants of the previous bout had taken their leave, the jumbotron played a clip from Sparkling Idol Barbara's stream, in which she called out the one and only Brawling Puppet, Skylar Jones.

As the clip finished, the screen cut to black, before abruptly displaying Skylar herself, sitting in a basement of some sort. She leaned back in a worn arm chair, wearing sunglasses, and a black leather jacket opened to show a white, beer stained tee shirt. She let out a sigh.

"So, the fuckin' 'Sparkling Idol' Barbara thought 'Hmmm, y'know what'd be a good idea? I'm gonna run my mouth and talk shit about Skylar Jones!'" She laughed, taking off the sunglasses to rub her eyes, before looking at the screen, leaning forward to rest her elbows on her knees. "Y'know Barb, there ain't many things that piss me off more than people like you, bitches that pretend to be something they're not. See, ya play this little character, you act all cuuute and niiice, when deep down inside, you're a coward, a punk, and a bully. You act tough when your greatest acheivement here is beating up a rookie." She snickered, giving a slow clap.

"Now look, I know I ain't no hero. I'm a bad person, and I've long accepted that my damned soul ain't makin' it anywhere near Heaven. But y'know what makes a scumbag like me just a little bit better than a scumbag like you, Barb?" Her eyes stared bullets through the camera, her cold smile making a few in the audience to shudder. "I know damn well what I am, and you'll never see me act like I'm someone I'm not! I'm a wolf, but I will never, and I mean NEVER try on a sheep's clothes! Cause as a wise man once said, true villains can't pretend to be anything else! They are what they are!"

She got out of her chair, her movements becoming more erratic. "Sparkling Idol Barbara says I got no technique! Well trust me motherfucker, I may not know that many submissions, I may not fly a lot, but listen to me when I say I know more than enough to put a BITCH like you in the ground!" She pointed at the camera as she shouted, a deranged grin spread across her face. "So count your days, Sparkling Idol! Cause next week, when you and I stand toe to toe in that ring, the only thing sparkling by the end of the night, will be. Your. BLOOD!

And with that, the screen cut to black...

"Uwah! Alright I think we'll call it a night everyone," Barbara said as she quit out of the game she had just been playing and streaming for the past two hours, "That was a fun time, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!"

She looked through the live chat and began to school through the comments. "Hm? What's this?" Barbara said, noticing that there were a string of chats from various subscribers all saying the same thing. "Check out LAW right now? I'm being called out?" The idol quickly switched from there game stream to a live feed of LAW's weekly show, just in time to see the second half of Skylar's promo. Her eyes slowly widened as she heard Skylar call her fake, a scumbag, issue a threat and then throw down a challenge to her to meet in the ring. When the screen cut to black, the idol looked first at the live chat, then at the camera, then back to her screen again, then back at the camera.

"Did she just say she wants a match next week?" Barbara asked. Her live chat exploded in activity.

"Oh man it's on!"

"Barbara ur gonna die rip"

"Don't do it Sky will kill u!"

"She can't back down now, Barbara ryona incoming woooooo"

Licking her suddenly dry-feeling lips, Barbara took a moment to gather her thoughts. "Huh, well this isn't outside of expectations," she said, leaning back in her chair, "I guess you're all getting a live reaction vid right now! Please enjoy the content!" She gave the camera a cheeky little grin, seemingly unfazed by Skylar's threat of violence.

"Shouldn't I be scared? No, why would I be?" Barbara responded to her chat's question, "Look I can take care of myself in the ring, otherwise I wouldn't have called out Skylar to begin with. She thinks she's super tough and scary, but it's an act! She's got garbage fighting skills!"

"Yeah but she can still beat you up," Barbara let out an exasperated groan, "Oh come on guys! Have a little faith in your idol! I can totally take her!"

The idol clapped her hands together. "Tell you all what, I'll even up the stakes of this match, because I am that confident," Barbara said. She turned to her camera, speaking to directly address Skylar Jones.

"Hey Skylar! I bet you think you're super edgy filming that garbage promo of yours in that nasty basement," Barbara said, "You really captured that creepy serial killer vibe, good job! Here's the thing though, I can see clean through your little show. You think you're so scary and tough. Guess what, you don't scare me at all!"

"So yeah, I'll meet you next week in the ring, and kick your garbage wrestler ass!" Barbara said, "You think you're fucked up? Once I'm done with you, you'll know what really being fucked up is like!" A grin flitted across the idol's face, transforming her cute smile into something truly deviant.

But that lasted for only a second, before Barbara reset to her usual saccharine self. "Thank you all for coming to my stream tonight! Definitely look forward to that match next week! Until next time, have a good night!" With a small wave to the camera, the idol bid her audience goodbye, and then ended the stream.
