The Young Lioness Cup: Nico Cardona vs. Teuila Masina

"God dammit!" Tanner spat. "Fuck! This is bad. Masina, you dumb fuckin' bitch, why the hell'd you block like that? I swear to God, if shit goes sideways, I'm gonna put you in the dirt!" On the one hand, wrestling was wrestling. Shit like this was like water in a river. Common as all hell and fast under the bridge. On the other hand, she really didn't mean to injure Teuila. All she could bank on now was the hope that there wouldn't be any consequences.

Unfortunately, that wasn't to be. Tanner hadn't noticed the plodding steps until it was too late. She was suddenly yanked off of Teuila, and her assailant looked none too happy to see her!

Dana Ashford. The Smiling Demon. Not only was she asked to be one of the volunteers in charge of the whole Young Lioness Cup, but she was also Teuila's side-bitch of a second teacher. Yeah. Clear conflict of interest, but nobody seemed to give a fuck. A few weeks back, Tanner had taken out her anger on Dana's family home... She'd gotten away with it, but anyone with eyes had to have put two-and-two together, even if they couldn't prove shit.

Not a good idea, in hindsight.

She scrambled to her feet, immediately taking a step to the old hag. But even she didn't dare broach Dana's personal space too tightly. One wrong move, and no doubt Tanner would end up as catfish bait. If the Smiling Demon herself wasn't enough, that blonde bimbo in the sunglasses would probably be right behind her if things got hairy. And Spaceballs would be stirring any second now. Tanner never backed down from a good scrap, but the odds just weren't in her favor here.

Tanner clutched her fist and growled. "What? You ain't new to this shit," she started, positively seething with panic and fury. "Bad bitch like you's gotta have sent a few messages in her time. Samoa Blow was just on the receiving end of mine. It's her fuckin' fault she doesn't know how to block worth a shit. Why do you care, anyway?"

Dana didn't care one bit about the vandalism that occurred at her home days ago. Deeming it as some sort of low-effort attempt to get to her, she just ignored it, because she knew it was something that her student, Teuila, was involved in, and she'd rather not get herself involved as well. She considered this a learning experience for her protégé due to professional wrestling being a rather cutthroat business for all involved.

But now, here she was, coming straight to Tanner after what she had done to Teuila earlier. Under different circumstances, Dana would just let them be, knowing that it wasn't her place to get herself involved. Hearing Tanner's words, Dana continued staring at her for a few seconds before her lips curled up into a smile. The same unnerving smile that she was known for. The one that gave her the name Smiling Demon.

"You're right. I'm not new to this." Dana nodded as she spoke using a microphone so that everyone in the arena could hear her. "Under any different circumstances, I'd leave you be and let Teuila do whatever she must to deal with you. But..." Stepping forward, Dana would loom over Tanner. Judging from the way she was standing, she could suddenly reach out to her and grab her before she could do anything. "You need to understand that this goes both ways too. If you want to be a bad bitch, then you better be ready for consequences..."

It looked like Dana might try something on Tanner before her shoulders relaxed. "Also, as the judge and administrator of the Young Lioness Cup, I'd say that you chose your course of actions poorly. Thus, with the authority given to me, I hereby announce that Tanner Del Rio is now disqualified from the tournament." Giving Tanner a stern glare, she motioned to Tanner to get out in the same way a mother would give a troublesome child a time-out. "Now get yourself out of this ring, young lady." After delivering her verdict, she went to put her attention elsewhere, namely on Teuila.

Tanner was always ready to throw down, but she wasn't an idiot. Even she had to stand back a little under the glower of the Smiling Demon herself. Still, she knew that look. In a minute, Dana was gonna pounce on her, and it'd be a fight for her life. There was no more avoiding it. All Tanner had to do was be rea-

"What?" Did Dana just... disqualify her? Her? Tanner Del Rio? When she was about to go through to the fucking finals? "That's fucking bullshit! You can't do that! You're just protectin' her to keep the good name of your preeecious little-" She took a step towards Dana before withering under her gaze. Behind her, LAW employees were at the ready, already making calls on their stupid little earpieces. It appeared she was officially an unauthorized person in the ring.

"Tch..." Tanner rubbed her shoulder. She'd kicked Teuila's ass plenty of times now. The only thing that saved her this time was a real wrestler. It took the threat of the whole parade to stop Tanner. Dana, Spaceballs, the bimbo, and about half of LAW Security. Shaking her head at those odds, Tanner slunk between the ropes and made her way down the entrance ramp to a cacophony of boos.

Before she left, she stopped, pointing at the ring in the hopes that Teuila was conscious enough to hear. "This ain't over, Teuila! You better watch your back from now on, y'hear me? THIS AIN'T OVER!"
