Challenges Abound

Alaina was wearing a pair of black under armor leggings, a blue form fitting tank top and pair of sneakers. She had a large bottle of water with her as she stepped out in to the gym. She had a rough patch of matches lately and needed to really surge to make a legitimate bid for the heavyweight title.

Alaina was going to kick things off with some work at the kettle bells before moving on to do a good lower body day.

Today was Ryu's first day at the gym. The newly signed Japanese male wrestler was here just to scout the place and get familiar with the facilities and what sort of equipment he was most interested in using when he would fix his schedule to use the gym in a proper manner. Therefore, for that reason, The Dragon was seen in his causal clothes which consisted of a white sporty T-shirt and light blue jeans with a gym bag hanging over his shoulder. He would wander around the place, getting to know which way was what and even getting to talk with some of the staff members.

However, his eyes soon spotted one of the most famous, well-known and respected wrestlers of LAW. "Alaina Sanders." he said to himself, gripping the strap of his gym bag tightly. Taking a deep breath he would walk towards her, with a confident look on his face. Approaching her cautiously, hoping he was not disrupting her training regimen.

"Excuse me, Alaina-san it is an honour to meet you." he said with a respectful bow as per Japanese traditions.

Alaina was just about to start her workout when she was approached by a fit, handsome looking young man. "Oh, hey there!" She said with a smile before giving him a polite bow in return. "It is nice to meet you young man, do you work here or wrestle? You look like you are in amazing shape." She added still smiling. She wasn't used to men half her age approaching her at the gym, so it was nice to know she still had it in her to draw some attention. Alaina was curious about what he was doing here but she knew LAW was expanding its male roster quite a bit.

They moved her nephew from personal trainer to trainer/wrestler and she knew he was struggling in the ring despite having all the tools to succeed. With experience he would be doing fine though or so she thought. Getting back to the matter at hand she nodded to the young man in front of her. "What is your name?"

He certainly did not want to bother the legendary wrestler while she was about to start her work-out but the opportunity was too good to pass out. The Dragon would approach her, doing his best to greet her with as much respect as he could. His strategy seemed to work and Alaina would greet him back with a smile. Although her reputation was such that she would always greet anyone she met with a smile, fan or colleague but it was nice to see return the gesture of the bow. When he was referred to as young-man, he slightly blushed because not many people in the wrestling business would call him that especially in LAW where he felt that he was slightly older than everyone else but compared to Alaina he was certainly a young man.

"Thank you Alaina-san! Yes, I am a wrestler here. I joined not too long ago." he would explain. "You are in amazing shape yourself" he said, quickly returning the favour back to her. "Ryu Hiroshi" he replied nodding at her direction. "Ah, I apologize if this is not the best time for us to talk! I hope I did not intrude on your training schedule?" he said sounding a bit apologetic.

Meanwhile, a few LAW management crew were lurking around and would see the two wrestlers converse which gave them an idea. It appeared they were looking for a pair of wrestlers to try out a new match-type. They watched the two wrestlers for now, eager to jump up on them the moment Alaina and Ryu would get comfortable with each other.

"It is nice to meet you Ryu, and you aren't interrupting anything at all." Alaina said seeing how apologetic he was. "I was about to do a workout but if you wanted to join me that would be fine if you are up for that?" Alaina asked, always happy to have a workout partner. The young man looked like he was plenty ripped and a young man in good shape could also help Alaina push herself in the gym.

"What were you going to do for a workout today, maybe we can turn it into a small competition if ya aren't scared of an older lady out-lifting you?" Alaina asked playfully trying to put Ryu at ease.

He was glad that he was not interrupting her training regime. Plus, even if he was it appeared that Alaina was the type of person who wouldn't mind talking with someone even if she was busy working out- such was the nature of the veteran wrestler. She explained that she was going to start a work-out and even offered Ryu to join her if he was ready for that. The Japanese male wrestler was honoured that Alaina would consider working out with him and in turn he would love to have that honour.

"Ah, Alaina-san! I would be honoured" he said politely, bowing to her in respect out of his culture and traditions. The fiery American wrestler was in the mood it seemed, even teasing him about a competition. His cheeks blushed but he took the taunt light hearted. "Well, I was just looking around today because it was my first day at the gym but I wouldn't mind having a competition. Haha well Alaina-san, I wouldn't consider you an older lady especially judging by how fit you are" he said.

Just then, the LAW management crew that were lurking around would spot the two talking and an idea struck their mind. They would approach the two from behind before jumping on them in surprise (figuratively). "Well hello there Ms. Sanders, I see you've met with LAW's newest recruit Hiroshi-san!" they said. Ryu was slightly startled by their surprise appearance but kept his cool.

"Anyway, we are sorry for eaves dropping but we overheard you about a little competition? Well...it just so has it that management are looking for two wrestlers to participate in a new challenge that they have concocted. What say you Ms. Sanders and Mr. Hiroshi, are you two interested in it?" they asked.

Alaina turned in surprise as the officials were suddenly standing around them! It was stuff like this that made her more than happy to use her "small" home gym at home. If she wanted quiet she worked out at home. However sometimes working out in the LAW gym was fun to see up and coming wrestlers or meet new people as she did today.

"Oh! Well, you know I can't really back down from anything even when I am not too sure of what it is exactly." Alaina said standing with her hands on her hips. She looked over at Ryu then back at the officials. "I am willing to try whatever this challenge is, how about you Ryu?"

The sudden intrusion by the LAW management did startle both Ryu and Alaina. However, Alaina after the initial surprise, she didn't really seem too shocked that the LAW officials would find her in the gym. Ryu was unaware of how often this sort of thing used to happen since he was quite new but from the look of Alaina's face he assumed this happened more often than not. However, the idea of a special challenge did seem to intrigue the Amazon and she would suggest that she wasn't going to back down from a challenge even though neither Ryu nor she was aware of what it could might be.

Fearing the worst, Ryu hoped this sort of challenge did not involve anything suspicious but when he was put on the spot by Alaina there was no way he could say anything but yes. "Uh yeah Alaina-san. If you are up for it, then so am I" he said nodding confidently. The two officials would look at each other and smirk, Ryu and Alaina were perfect for this experiment.

"Perfect, we knew you would agree. Well we have a new match we like to call a 'Wrestling Marathon'. Five nights, Five wrestling matches between two opponents. The match goes in a specific order, it will be Standard, Cage, Submission, Falls Count Anywhere and finally I Quit. Another rule is that both wrestlers will be sharing a locker room for the week as well." the two explained.

"So, what do you two say? You in!" they said with an excited look.

Alaina smiled and nodded. "I am in but I have a little rule about the shared locker room. If one of us is changing or showering put something on the door so the other waits outside. This old lady is married with a couple crazy kids at home." Alaina said as she looked over at Ryu. "If you are all right with that then I look forward to the wrestling marathon against a well built, well mannered young man and honestly after the matches I feel that input from an opponent you just fought can be the best way to improve yourself so I really look forward to this." Alaina added already with a mindset towards analyzing the methods of her opponent as well as refining her own approach.

The proposition was quite absurd! Ryu was, although a veteran in the ring, still new to LAW. He wasn't sure what he did to deserve such a special match against none other than Alaina Sanders. He wouldn't say anything, he only listened to what the producers had to say. The continued on about a match which would span out to five days dubbed the wrestling marathon. The concept was simple yet grueling, the two wrestlers would wrestle each other five consecutive days in five different match type. It was an exciting project for sure and Ryu was interested even though they had to weird it up by adding that the two would share a locker space.

"Well if Alaina-san is okay with it then you can count me in too." Ryu nodded, agreeing with what the Amazon had to say. The producers and management would nod in approval too. "So it is settled and sure Ms. Sanders, we will make sure there won't be any accidents like that happening. You can count on that" they would say. "Anyway we will get the paperwork ready and have your locker room ready. Except a lot of interviews and comments before and after the matches. Hehe good luck to both of you" they said before quickly storming off.

Ryu would raise his eyebrow not sure why they left so early. "They seem to be in a bit of hurry. Anyway, thanks for this opportunity. While it does sound like a crazy idea I think its going to test our skill and limits" he said.
