The First Day of Many (For Pika)

Ten years, it took Ryu Hiroshi ten whole years to get to one of the biggest promotions in the wrestling business. However, the Japanese Indie male wrestler finally made it to his destination which was getting to LAW. Starting his wrestling career at the tender age of thirteen, the orphan male worked his way up here with nothing but sheer determination and the will to go on. It was hard trying to become a pro-wrestler as an orphan but somehow and someway, he made it work.

He was in the LAW locker room, in a mediating pose clad in his blue wrestling briefs and matching fingerless gloves. He was doing some breathing exercises to calm himself before his scheduled sauna room session to further relax him for the tough week that was to come. Ryu was still waiting for his official debut but he wanted to be ready for it, mentally and physically for when it inevitably come.

"Hmmm, right. I better get going" he said to himself, grabbing his gym bag and heading out to the gym. Ryu, being the new talent on the block, still had not familiarized himself with all the facilities locations and soon found himself rather lost. With the handsome chiseled man looking around, he spotted a tomboyish blonde woman in the gym who he briefly exchanged gazes with. He figured she would be the best person to ask.

Approaching her, the male stood firm. "Excuse me, gomenasai, but could you please tell me where the sauna rooms are? I'm new here, Ryu Hiroshi...nice to meet you" he said offering her a shy smile and his hand for a handshake.

Ashley had unexpectedly gotten a rare day off from her duties as a LAW wrestler, a chance to relax and unwind and take time for herself. So of course she was at the gym. The blonde had just finished her workout when she locked eyes with another one of her fellow gym go-ers, a handsome Japanese man wearing little more than a pair of trunks, likely to show off his admittedly impressive body. When they broke eye contact Ashley would allow herself to sigh, she hated dealing with guys at the gym, a problem that she'd hoped to avoid by going to a LAW gym.

While she was lamenting this fact she would see the man walking up to her, with another sigh she would turn to face him. Though despite her apprehension towards male wrestlers, which she guessed he was based on looking at him and taking into account where they were, he seemed to be quite nice as he greeted her politely and asked for directions "The sauna? It's just this way" she said, pointing towards a hallway "My name's Ashley, nice to meet you too, Ryu." As she told him her name she would accept the handshake, smiling slightly, despite her initial apprehension he didn't seem like a bad guy.

Ashley would then turn in the direction she had pointed in earlier "I'm going sauna as well so I'll show you the way, come with me." she said, with an inviting hand wave.

Despite his devilishly good looks and chiseled body, Ryu acted quite timid while he approached Ashley. Perhaps it was because he was the new guy on the block or because he was painfully oblivious of the fact that Ashley was a wrestler too and perhaps a rival in the ring too. Regardless, he didn't want to make any enemies in his first week so he wanted to be as polite and as respectful as he could. The Japanese male wrestler never had too many friends in his childhood, usually being reserved and always used to focus on his wrestling training alone. Offering her a genuine smile, he was met with a reassuring smile in return which calmed his nerves just a bit.

"Ah, thank you Ashley-san." he said bowing slightly to show his appreciation after they were done shaking hands. He grabbed his gym bag and almost headed to that direction until the blonde woman suggested that they go together. Blushing ever so slightly at her suggestion, Ryu would nod firmly and agree, following the blonde to the direction she pointed.

Upon walking for a few minutes, Ashley and Ryu made it to the reception of the sauna room. "Ah Ms. Ashley, right on time. Your Sauna room is ready for you and uh....oops, I'm sorry I think we made a mistake and double booked. You're Ryu right, the new guy? Sorry, it seems we only have one vacant room at the moment and you'll have to share, if possible." the receptionist said, her cheeks red in embarrassment.

"Hmm that's alright. Ashley-san, don't worry about it. I can always come back later, you may use the room if you wish." he suggested to the blonde.

Ashley rubbed the back of her head sheepishly when Ryu thanked her with a bow, she didn't quite know how to respond to such a gesture "Uh... it's nothing. Come on, let's go." The two of them would head to the sauna together, but when they got there they would find out that because of a mistake in booking the two of them would have to share a room "HUH!?!" Ashley would cry, cheeks reddening at the thought of having to share a sauna with a man. Though despite her embarrassment it didn't seem fair to make Ryu lose out on time in the sauna he'd paid for "No, it's fine. I d-don't mind sharing." Though even as she said that her face was bright red.

The situation was more than awkward for the pair, Ryu acknowledged it within but tried to stay calm and act cool in front of Ashley and the receptionist. Doing the chivalrous thing, Ryu would offer dibs to Ashley being the more gentleman like thing to do to offer a lady to go first and secondly as a return favour of Ashley helping him find his way here.

The pair stood awkwardly in front of the receptionist, red faced and avoiding eye contact when Ashley mentioned that she would not mind sharing the sauna room with Ryu. "Ah, r-really? Well, in that case I don't mind s-sharing either I suppose" Ryu would say, blushing a bit himself and scratching the back of his head.

"Excellent, right this way." the receptionist would say, glad that the two came to a compromise otherwise she would have been in trouble with LAW management for overbooking and leaving the LAW roster unhappy. "If you want to change, there's the locker room." she pointed but Ryu, already being in nothing but his blue wrestling briefs and blue fingerless gloves was already changed. "No thanks, I'm good" he nodded.

"Right there, your room is sauna room #2, enjoy!" she would say in a happy manner before leaving the pair.

Sauna Wrestling Room

"Right, I suppose I'll see you in there and...thanks again Ashley-san" she said before making his way into the room first, as he was not sure if Ashley needed to change or not. The handsome male would take in the heat and steam of the sauna, letting his body relax as the tingling sensation ran down his back. He would take his position in the middle of the room, settling down into a mediating pose while taking relaxing breathes to calm himself. A light sheen of sweat already coating his chiseled, brown skin.

As Ashley prepared to enter the sauna with Ryu she still couldn't believe this was happening, because of a mix up with booking she was now going to have to spend some of her precious Sauna time while sharing the space with a man. Though Ryu didn't seem like a bad guy that didn't do much to make the blonde feel better about this situation. Either way she would soon head in, wearing a white-swimsuit that she had been leant by the staff, underneath a towel. She gave the man a nod before taking a seat quite some distance from him, a relatively easy task given how large the room was.

Ashley would sit back and let out a long sigh, allowing herself to relax and let the heat soak in. Though she would gladly have just sat there in silence for as long as she was in here Ashley supposed she should at least attempt conversation with the man she was sharing the sauna with "So, you're a LAW wrestler?" She had made an educated guess, considering that most of the gym's clientele were wrestlers, but Ryu also had that look about him. Though if she was wrong then hopefully him correcting her mistake would lead to a conversation.

Going in first, the blue brief male would walk around the Sauna room to get a good lay-out of it before finally taking his seat. It was rather unconventional, as the male would sit on the floor in the middle of his knees whilst on his knees with his hands resting on his thighs. He would take calm and slow breathes, relaxing himself while being soaked in sweat. Soon, he heard the door open and close shut. He opened his eyes to see Ashley walking in with a towel wrapped around her body. It seemed a bit odd but he understood why she chose to wear a towel but he didn't let that get in the way of feeling too awkward about it.

After a moment of silence, Ashley would start to strike a conversation with the rather silent male. Once again, upon hearing her question he would open his eyes and relax his body. However, he would shake his head to tell her that she was wrong in her assumptions. "No, well at least not yet." he said.

He would pat the floor next to him. "Come, sit with me Ashley-san" he offered. "I'm hoping to join the LAW ranks in the coming few weeks though but as of today I am not officially a LAW wrestler. How about you? Are you managing someone here?" he questioned.

Ashley would nod as Ryu explained that he was not a LAW wrestler like she had assumed, an answer that she had to admit piqued her curiosity, enough so that when he patted the floor beside him she would walk over dutifully and sit down next to him. He would then go on to explain that he would be joining LAW soon, but that he was not officially a LAW wrestler yet "Oh, I see. I'll keep an eye out for your debut then so I can cheer for you" she'd say, with a smile.

That smile would soon fade as Ryu would then ask her if she was managing someone here, replaced with a frown and a furrowed brow. It wouldn't take a psychic to tell you that Ashley was not pleased "No, actually. I'm a wrestler, same as you." Her frown would deepen even further as she turned to him and crossed her arms over her chest "What made you assume I'm a manager? Do I not look like a wrestler or something?" she'd growl, clearly annoyed. Ryu was currently walking in a minefield, he'd have to be careful with how he worded his response if he didn't want to make Ashley even more upset.

The male wrestler, after making the offer, was slightly worried that perhaps he was being a bit too up front and friendly with a person whom he had hardly known especially because he was not part of the active roster yet and who knows how the two would line up in the future. Still, it was in his nature to be kind with those who were kind with him and Ashley was nice enough to allow him to share the sauna with him. Despite his strong and manly appearance, Ryu was a pretty friendly person when not angered.

It pleased the Japanese male to no end when Ashley took up his offer and sat next to him on the floor, soaking up the sauna steam and sweating profusely "Thank you Ashley-san. That means a lot" he smiled while nodding at her. Taking a deep breath, Ryu would then close his eyes and take up his meditating pose once more, calming himself in silence.

That is, when Ashley rebutted his presumption of her being a manager and inquired what made him think she was a manager instead of a wrestler. "Oh well, I just assumed so because you hmm well didn't really look like a wrestler? Are you new?" he asked innocently still keeping his eyes closed.

After a single misguided question the tone of the conversation changed completely and now Ashley was glaring daggers at the man as she demanded an explanation for his inaccurate assumption that she wasn't a wrestler. Though when he explained that he had made his assumption because she "didn't really look like a wrestler" Ashley wasn't exactly calmed by that explanation "What do you mean I don't really look like a wrestler? And no I'm not new! I've been here for a year and I have 9 wins to my name! Could a manager do that!?!" she asked, rhetorically. Ashley usually wasn't the kind to bring up her win record, but Ryu had angered her enough that she no longer cared about being humble.

Assuming that Ryu wasn't able to calm her down, which was likely, Ashley would suddenly stand up while angrily gesturing for him to do the same "You know what!?! Let me show you how wrong you are!" She would then throw off her towel, giving the man a good look at how fit and toned her body was with little more than a two-piece swimsuit covering it in the process and stare him down. Whereas earlier the idea of being in a state of undress in front of the man had made her flustered and embarrassed she was now too angry to care "I'll take you on right now, and I'll teach you not to judge by appearances!" she yelled. There was a fire in her eyes now, it was starting to look unlikely that this would end without a fight.
