However, Astrid and William had their own reasons for being here. Some time ago, William had learned that he had a daughter - and one who had gone twenty years without ever knowing who her father was. But it seemed fate had a way of bringing them together. One way or another, William's daughter, Sarabeth Chummers, had taken to wrestling, and that path had led her to LAW and the Young Lioness Program. With Astrid, William, and Sarabeth alike having their parts to play in LAW, they knew it would only be a matter of time before they met. They knew they had to make things right. Sarabeth had gone too long without answers, or with a guiding force in her life she could rely on. William, too, had gone too long without owing up to his past. But now, all that would change.
Astrid stood at the head of the class, looking over the trainees lined up side by side. There were a few names she knew well - Sheila Chihara, Meiyun Lai - and, more importantly, there was Sarabeth herself. She had recognized the green-haired girl instantly when she had entered the room, comparing her to the pictures she'd seen before. Now, she was closer than ever to finally telling her the truth about her past.
Even still, the future was uncertain. She had hope that Sarabeth would be relieved to know the truth, but who could be sure? It was equally possible she would have held onto her anger for William for never being around, or even that she would feel that Astrid was inserting herself into her life - the thought of that made her grit her teeth as she grew a little more tense. As the Young Lionesses threw themselves into their routine, Astrid turned back to William, whispering a few words. "So, this is it," she said. "You think she'll stick around afterward?"
