Laps Not Reps

"Kira huh? That is a big debut win then!" Alaina said with an approving nod. She looked at Sophia with a grin as she asked if she could have the picture sent to her.

"Of course! I will get your number and send it right over to you. Hopefully we can mix it up in the ring sometime unless facing a 46 year old is too scary for ya?" Alaina said playfully patting Sophia on the back.

"Yes... she seemed to have a liking for crushing her opponents in bearhugs. It was quite a struggle... I did not think I was going to best her. I did not expect the LAW to have such high calibre of wrestlers." Sophia admitted. Her voice was still low and nervous, but she was beginning to speak more. She gasped as Alaina patted her on the back again, and nearly managed a smile before Alaina offered her a match.

"Oh no... I couldn't..." Sophia then mentioned as the prospect of it all. She did not wish to fight one of her childhood heroes, the thought of it felt like too much. "I thank you for the opportunity but... I just... I couldn't..."

Alaina looked at her with a raised eyebrow standing with her hands on her hips. "How come?" Alaina asked a simple question very curious as to what the answer would be.

Normally Alaina met young wrestlers on the roster who were itching to have a go at her. Someone apprehensive about it actually really caught the amazon off guard.

Alaina looked upon Sophia who clutched one of her own arms, all simple little nervous ticks that the German would never do around anyone else but those she admired. Again, the younger woman had a hard time maintaining eye contact with Alaina as she seemed to look around her. The two bikini clad women remained in the pool, and neither had really moved for some time. Fortunately the LAW had heated pools so that wasn't so much of an issue.

The issue now only came from Sophia as she did not have an immediate answer for Alaina. She knew what she wanted to say, but her nerves got the better of her. After a few seconds passed however, Sophia gained some courage to speak. Her answer came simply.
"The same reason why I would not wish to fight Captain America if I ever had a chance to meet him in person... I do not want to fight my heroes." Sophia put it plainly, managing a meek smile.

Alaina nodded and listened as Sophia finally spoke. "You know what, I can wrap my mind around that. I get it." Alaina said with a small smile. She wasn't used to that form of thinking as usually Alaina walked around with a giant target on her back. This was nice for a change. "Do you have any women you really do want to tangle with in the ring? There are a lot of fun matchups in the middleweight division and against others in other divisions as well if you are open to that." Alaina added, curious to see if Sophia had any sort of a dream matchup she was aiming for in LAW.

"I've... been researching several wrestlers since my arrival, more out of curiosity for my competition than anything. In all honesty I am just taking it one step at a time. I have a match in a few days against a newcomer called Mia Hofstetter... I am preparing for that match. I would... be honoured if you would come and watch it?" Sophia whispered meekly.

"As for a dream match... I... well... I do have one dream. Perhaps... a Tag Team match?... I've never had one before. Perhaps a Tag Team match where I get to team up with the Amazon herself..." Sophia could barely look at Alaina as she spoke, looking down upon herself as she stood in the waist deep waters. At least now she was talking more, but there was little command or presence within her tone. No doubt the Middleweight wrestler was still very much star struck, especially in such close proximity to one of her childhood heroes who was clad in little more than a bikini!

Alaina smiled and nodded to Sophia as she made her request. "I would be more than happy to! Chances are I may be geared up and backstage but I will be watching for sure." Alaina said feeling honored to have Sophia request that. Alaina watched as much as she could, in part to take in the qualities of potential opponents.

"Tagging with me huh? I think I could also make that happen at some point. I think we could make a good team but would probably have to train together so we know exactly what to expect in the ring from one another. Granted, you seem to be familiar with me from watching the matches. I will need to pay very close attention to your matches then won't I?" Alaina said with a sly grin on her face and finger tapping her chin.

The thought of training with Alaina was something that excited Sophia, and it was beginning to show as her eyes lit up. Alaina was seeing a side to Sophia no one else had probably ever witnessed. She was always hard faced... stoic and only spoke when spoken to. In the ring she held a very serious demeanour, barely ever acknowledging the fans despite their love for her. Sophia very rarely smiled, she never laughed. It was hard to believe she was considered a fan favourite given how little she spoke to others.

Yet here in front of Alaina... She was a bag of nerves. Sophia did not know what to say or how to act... she was in the presence of one of her heroes... one of the very people that made Sophia Wolfe step into the ring in the first place. The thought of teaming up with Alaina... even if it was just for a single match was... it was a dream come true.
"I... yes... I... that.. that would be desirable. I mean... it would make sense. We should train together... perhaps... perhaps we could form a double team move?" Sophia couldn't supress the smile at the thought of inventing a special move with Alaina.
"That would... that would be amazing." Sophia whispered, her voice shaking with nervousness and excitement. "What day would be best for you?... I... I should be free tomorrow or... the day after."

Alaina saw the bundle of nerves that was Sophia. She just smiled and let Sophia talk, working out her nerves. The amazon listened to the proposal of working on a double team move. "That would be pretty good, us having a move wouldn't it? I can train whenever you like, I am at the gym frequently so maybe tomorrow will work?" Alaina said with a shrug and smile.

The amazon was happy to have a training partner as working with a variety of women was a good way to learn new tricks. She was indeed looking forward to this!

Sophia smiled. It was a beautiful smile and one rarely ever seen upon her lips. She didn't even realise she was doing it, such was her nerves at the moment.
"Tomorrow it is... it's a date.. I mean... it's not a date! An... it's an arrangement..." Sophia stumbled with her words, turning a shade of slight pink. "I'm sorry. I... we'll meet up again tomorrow. I should let you get back to your workout." Sophia whispered meekly, feeling like curling up into a ball and disappearing after her previous words. She felt like she was making quite a show of herself in front of one of her heroes!
