Ellie paced around the gym, arms crossed. One would think that given how late the Young Lioness she was scheduled to meet here was, that she was frustrated by the trainee's crummy first impression. In reality, the young woman so nervous, she hadn't even been keeping track of time. She was busy thinking about all the ways she could mess this up. Why had she even applied for this mentorship program? Sure, she wanted to help someone less experienced then herself learn how to be a strong wrestler, but why did she think she was ready to do that? She'd only been in this business four years herself! Not to mention, her career so far had been far from impressive. While some of the girls who'd trained along side her had already made it big, she'd spent the entirety of her career on the indies right up until LAW scooped her up as a mid card talent. Hell, so far, she'd only had one televised match. So far, she'd mostly been relegated to wrestling with unsigned local talents in dark matches. The optimist in her tried to fight the negativity. After all, televised or not, she was undefeated in her matches. Surely, LAW's bookers would take notice of her talent eventually.
She was brought out of her thoughts by the yelling of her new personal student, Meiyun Lai. At the girl's proclamation, Ellie glanced at the clock. Meiyun was indeed, late.
"It's fine!" Ellie said, forcing a smile to hide her nervousness. She approached Meiyun, offering a handshake.
"Your name is Meiyun Lai, right? I'm Ellie Cooper, and I look forward to being your mentor."
