Meeting in Shadows (For Arjuna)

Teuila panted tiredly after managing to lift Dana off her feet and slam the older and larger woman down into the mat with force. Force that thankfully seemed to have rocked the woman and left her unable to say or do much in response as Teuila rolled off of her and slowly got back up to her feet, trying to prepare for her next move.

Looking over at Dana as the woman worked to do the same Teuila would resolve herself for what to do next and tensed her muscles in preparation. 'One.. two... three!' Thinking to herself softly Teuila would charge forwards as Dana was still bent over before leaping up, landing on the woman's back and hooking her legs under her arms before throwing herself forward, trying to pull Dana off her feet and back down into the mat with a sunset flip powerbomb!

Breathing hard, Dana would rise up from all four, hoping to get herself back up before Teuila could take advantage of her current state. And then, Teuila charged towards her while she was still bending over, and from the look of it, Teuila was planning something ambitious. Teuila leaped up and got herself on Dana's back as she attempted a sunset flip powerbomb.

But Dana had already braced herself, and when Teuila tried to flip her for the sunset flip, Dana resisted being lifted up, leaving her protégé upside down on her back. Quickly securing her grip on both Teuila's legs, Dana would bring her head first onto the mat with a back-to-belly piledriver.

Teuila felt like she may have something here. Hitting move after move and with Dana looking as tired as she was the Samoan thought she had a chance to land a potentially match ending blow on the matriarch of the Ashford family.

So once Dana started to push herself up Teuila ran forward, attempting to land a sunset flip powerbomb on the woman. Key word being tried. Before Teuila could pull Dana off her feet and land the move she found herself nearly tumbling off of Dana's back with the only thing stopping her being Dana holding her legs.

"Oh n- NGH!" Before Teuila could even properly react she found herself drilled into the mat with a brutal piledriver! Going stock still from the impact. Should Dana release her legs than they along with the rest of Teuila's body would fall listlessly on the mat, the determined Samoan seemingly koed by that impact!

Countering Teuila's attempt to bring her down with a sunset flip powerbomb with a back-to-belly piledriver, Dana let go of her legs and body, letting her fall down onto the mat. Then, Dana sat on top of her, sighing in relief as she started counting. "One, two, three..." The fight finally ended. She remained seated on Teuila's stomach as she looked down at her face. "You did good, dear. You sure have potential to be a big thing sometime in the future..." She told her.

Teuila had given it her best effort, and she even felt that she had Dana on the ropes, possibly even being close to a win. But Dana right now was just too strong for her, literally. As a result Teuila found herself pile drived and left dazed. Perfect for Dana to use as a seat and get the pinfall on her. "Ughhhh..." She groaned as she came too more and realized she lost.

Even so the praise from Dana helped her too swallow the bitter pill of defeat. "Heh.. thanks teach." She said before wincing. "Uh... any advice?" She asked, the weight of Dana definitely getting to her, but her pride refused to let her ask the woman to get off of her. So instead Teuila would ride it out until Dana opted too get up of her own accord.

When Teuila asked for any advice, Dana thought about it for a moment. "Hmm... well, I don't think I have much left to give you in terms of advice, but I guess you should get out of your comfort zone and try to pick up anything you deem useful from anyone, even your opponents." Dana picked herself off Teuila's stomach, rising up. "Just take this from me. Even as you grow older and more skilled, you'll keep surprising yourself by finding out that there are more things you can learn, more than what you can imagine." She smiled kindly at the Samoan girl. "Living is learning, after all. As long as we live, we will never stop learning. Those who stop learning is no different than being dead." She held out her hand to Teuila, offering to pull her up. "Need a hand?" She asked.

Teuila had asked for advice from Dana and she was getting it, nodding softly at the lesson from her mentor it only made sense. After all how could it not? It wasn't just a good lesson as a wrestler, but for lift as well, and it wouldn't be one that she would soon forget. Eventually the lesson would soon be over and Dana would get off of her, holding a hand out to help her up. "Yeah thank you." she said, reaching up to grab hold of Dana's hand before getting pulled up to her feet. "Thank you so much for the spar and lesson." Teuila said respectfully with a nod of her head to the woman. As she stood up though a thought crossed her face. "If you wouldn't mind though miss Dana I wanna keep going out of my comfort zone." She said getting a slight blush on her face. "Is there anyone you'd recommend me to go against?" She asked curiously, already having a few ideas herself, but wanting Dana's as well.

Hearing Teuila's words, Dana thought about it for a bit. "Hmm... well, there are lots of people you can face there, but for now, let's focus on those who are similar to you first. I mean, the Young Lionesses first." She smiled as she looked at Teuila. She might be a student in her school, the Shadow Fortress, but officially, her designation in LAW was a Young Lioness. She should start small first so that she could find her footing in this industry, and from there, she could build herself up.

"The more established girls are still probably too much for you at the moment." Dana reasoned. "Sure, you can learn from failures, but if you fail too hard, you're not going to be able to pick yourself up from it. So, try facing your peers first before moving up to the more established wrestlers."

Teuila after managing to stand would hold onto the ropes to keep her footing before nodding to Dana as the woman gave a response to what she asked. It was expected, though Teuila was hoping she would say that she was ready for some other established names, especially those in the Shadow Fortress, but the older woman had her best intentions for her, so Teuila understood it.

"Understood, thank you ma'am!" Teuila said with a smile and quick bow to Dana, a habit more so gained from her fellow young lionesses... Though she would follow it up by surging forward and giving a quick hug to Dana, but not holding it for too long, just a simple squeeze before stepping back thank. "Thank you again for teaching me." She said brightly, full of gratitude for the Ashford Matriarch.

Dana blinked when Teuila gave her a hug, though she smiled afterwards as she gave her a pat on her shoulder. "You're welcome, dear." And so, it was time for them to rest now that they were done with their sparring session. From this session, she got to learn more about her student, and she hoped that one day, Teuila would become a big star that could stand alongside the giants in this company.
