Breaking Out (Reiko and Tia)

The quick relief Reiko had from trapping Tia ended the moment the teacher's fist slammed into her body. Reiko winced at the first punch, sucking in a sharp breath. She didn't have much room or a good position to block such attacks, so she hooked her legs and moved to kick Tia off her before her body took anymore punishment.

[The Riders]

Tia cocks her fist back ready to unload another punch to Reiko side. She knows her first punch hurts but she didn't throw it at her hardest, if she did then the spar would be over and Reiko wouldn't learn anything at all. Before she could throw said punch her opponent was able to kick her which sends the woman back to avoid the girl legs. "Not bad landing that kick right there but were still not done at all. You blocked my punches but your still wide open.."

She says as she lunges forward again this time going for a standard grapple by grabbing Reiko by the head. Going to try and lock in a grounded headlock on the woman.

Reiko got to her feet once Tia got off her, quickly going into her stance. There wasn't much time to react to her teacher's words though, as she immediately lunged at her and pulled Reiko into a headlock. "Ah-!" Reiko fought against the headlock, trying to squirm and wriggle her way out, but Tia was already taking them to the ground. She had no chance to escape.

[The Riders]

Tia quick as she can slams her little sparing partner to the mat with a headlock take down, now able to get the top mount she pauses holding her fist up as if to throw a punch at Reiko face. "Your ground game need's work Reiko..." as she gets off the girl stomach and holds her hand out to help her to her feet.

"Would you like to come to my gym and train there... You have talent and I would like to see you learn more styles to make you a more complete fighter." Tia says in a blunt tone being honest since she does want to teach Reiko but only if she is willing to do so, not like her younger years when she would beat people to force them to train with her.

"... ..." Reiko flinched for a second, waiting for the punch that never came down. Instead, she felt the weight of Tia move off her and a hand offering her help. She blushed, pouting a little, but ultimately took the hand and pulled herself up, dusting her gi and hakama.

Though Tia's words did annoy Reiko a little.

Really? All that for a sales pitch? At first Reiko pouted, crossing her arms. Was this just to get me in her gym? Reiko wasn't exactly a fan of the tactic. It almost felt like a scam from lesser gyms and dojo she'd seen. But... she also couldn't deny this woman was a lot more skilled than her. And as much as she loved Japanese martial arts and its techniques there might also be value in at least having a place to face other fighting styles outside of the LAW rings.

"I... don't know." She admitted. "I'm already training at a dojo, and I don't really have the money to go to another place." But her dojo was closed for the month, and she needed a place to train with a decent instructor. "Um... people won't look at me weird if I should up like this, would they?" She gestured to her gi and hakama.

Inside of her head Tia is thinking about how great her pitch is to get Reiko to come to her gym and train, already picturing the smaller girl training along side two other girl's she has already. Each one will learn under her and her style of fighting will carry on as she will finally retire and watch as they blaze their own trails of glory.

Is broken out of her day dream hearing the girl talk about her being at another dojo and money. Letting out a laugh before smacking the younger girl on the back with her hand. 'Why would you need money for... At my gym... or it really my apartment building... and I turned the basement into a mini training gym." She says with pride in her voice.

"Placing her hand on the top of Reiko head, before ruffling the girl head like she does with her kids. "Nobody will make fun of you or look at you weird if you come in wearing your gi... it shows that you are committed to your style.."

Reiko staggered a little at the sudden smack,pouting at Tia as she thought it over. It still felt kind of shady. She was relieve that it wouldn't cost any money to join, and given that it was apparently less a gym proper and more a makeshift training hall meant there likely wouldn't be a lot of paperwork. And she couldn't doubt this woman's skills. Even before sparring she had a large group of people surrounding her and bugging her for autographs and the like. This woman had merit, Reiko's nerves aside. And hey, she could show up in her gi and not get 40 eyes on her. And the woman even gave her a bit of a compliment for wearing her gi. It couldn't be that bad... right?

"Alright," She said, looking up at the woman. "If you'll have me, then I'll be in your care, Sensei." She gave a bow, maintaining it for a moment before rising. "Oh, but I'll probably just show up once a week since I'll still be training at my Ane-san's dojo." She wasn't going to wear herself ragged training after all.

In her head Tia pumps her fist that her blunt marketing tactic has worked again, getting another student to join in her group so that her total is three now. But even she knows that their could be more out there that needs her training and guiding skills to learn how to be a much better fighter, but for now Reiko will do well under her teaching hands.

'That fine this is my address..." writing down her address to the smaller girl and her number and such... No twitter since she don't even know what that is. "Be there on time and dressed to work out... I will be very harsh on you because I see that you have the will to be great...And I will make sure you reach that goal."

Reiko took the slip of paper, nodded to the woman as she place it under her gi. "Hai!"

She could handle a harsh teacher. Her sensei back at her dojo proper. plus she had Himeko there as a senpai too. A harsh training regiment wasn't new to her, though... she was relieved it only be once a week. "Oh, I don't think I ever got your name, Sensei."

[The Riders]

Sliding out of the ring already and getting her bag with all of her gear inside of it. Mentally she is happy that another student will be coming to learn under her, even through it only once a week but she going to push and drive Keiko to her limit and then go beyond that.

Turns hearing her name being called giving the girl a big grin on her face, remembering a pose she always wanted to do in those old fighting games she used to play during her days off training based off some character called Terry. " The name is Tia Langray but you can call me Tia-Sensei and make sure your ready.." doing the pose before heading to the showers.
