Alice Gaster vs Kyo Akamatsu

Kyo's counter worked as planned, and not a moment too soon: after the Pale Rider's relentless offence for most of this match, Kyo knew he couldn't afford to let her get another hit in.

With Alice now trying to push herself up, Kyo went on the offensive: as the lithe English girl began to push herself back up, Kyo burst into a run, bouncing off the opposite rope to come running at her from behind as she got to her feet, aiming to nail her with a running drop kick to her chest!

Alice took too long recovering from the elbow to her temple and the hip toss, allowing Kyo to rush to the ropes…and back towards her, aiming his feet straight for Alice’s chest for a Dropkick!

”GWAAAGH!!!”, Alice screamed, practically rolling towards the edge of the ring! Realizing her location, Alice tried to roll a bit further, trying to roll out of the ring, managing to get her feet on the padded mats outside, but still propping herself up by her arms, trying to take a moment to recover, if only for a few seconds…

Kyo didn't exactly specialize in high flying kicks; all the same, he prided himself on being versatile enough a fighter to adapt to the situation and use any move in any situation. And in this case, that versatility paid off as his drop kick hit Alice in the chest, dropping the English tomboy and sending her folding down onto the edge of the ring.

As Kyo dropped down, he saw Alice roll out of the ring and get to her feet outside of it. Not wanting to give Alice a chance to recover, he jumped up and burst into a run, hoping to nail Alice with a baseball slide while she was still outside!

Problem with being smaller than most - big hits hurt that much more. Even though Kyo was far from the largest person she faced, dropkick hurt…badly, to the point where it was difficult to breathe for a moment. The Brit had build up her endurance where she could take hard shots like this…but that didn’t mean she was invincible. Far from it.

As she pressed her arms onto the ring apron, she could feel it vibrating. Kyo would naturally give her 0 time to recover.

”Crap…”, Alice thought to herself, unable to muster the strength to get out of the way…

…until she saw the edge of the ring.

”…tarp…!”

An idea popped into her head. Not exactly in line with wrestling rules, but nowhere was it written that she couldn’t do this! She correctly called Kyo going for a Baseball Slide, she was too close to the ring to go for a Suicide Dive. Kyo’s feet would not find their target, as instead, Alice pushed herself away from the ring with one hand, and pulled on the ring tarp with the other! Once Kyo was on his feet outside of the ring, she released the tarp, trapping Kyo between it and the ring!

Time seemed to slow as Kyo ran towards Alice, noting that the smaller girl still seemed to be somewhat woozy. As he dropped down into a slide, his boots aimed squarely for her head, she turned and saw him sliding towards her...

...and then, at the last second, saw her darting backwards, yanking on the edge of the ring...

The next thing Kyo knew, his legs caught on something. He almost cried out as his momentum sent him snapping forwards, and only the constriction around his legs prevented him from flopping face-first into the arena floor. He took a quick moment to assess what had happened: Alice had just yanked the tarp out from the ring, and now Kyo was trapped between it and the ring itself!

It was, admittedly, a clever move...one that was now forcing Kyo to try to pull himself free from, even as he tried to regain his balance. "Urgh...dammit..."

The audience cheered for the shocking…but pretty clever maneuver on Alice’s part, as the fans let out with a shocked and confused sound…the ref, however, was more than a bit angry at the disregard of the rules:

“Alice, do not dare do that again! Do not atta—!”

Alice pitied refs. Their jobs consisted of people, even once considered as pure an athlete as possible, completely ignoring their pleas in spite of the fact that they were the de facto law in the ring…however, as audiences need a show, they were discouraged from calling matches an outright DQ, unless the rules were being heavily broken.

Right as ref called on Alice to leave Kyo alone, she dashed like a bullet towards her rival arm outstretched to nail him in the chest with a Lariat of her own!

Trapped like a fly in amber, Kyo could do nothing to prevent the attack. He couldn't evade, he couldn't block, he couldn't find some clever counter...all he could do was try to raise one arm, just as the other was busy clinging for dear life to the lowermost rope. And in the end, even that wasn't enough as Alice cannoned into him with a powerful lariat.

The blow caused the air to burst from his lungs, and he released the rope, dropping down to the mat, still partially tangled in the tarp. He sucked in air from the blow, unsure if he should hate Alice for literally using the ring against him, or appreciating her cleverness. All he knew was that now, he was at her mercy...

Once Alice hit the Lariat, ref got irate: “Get him out of there now, or I will disqualify you!”, she’d shout at Alice, wanting to get the order back to the match.

”Fine, fine…”, Alice would say, pulling on the tarp to let Kyo fall to the ground, before grabbing his arm and leg to drag him from under it. After a quick stomp to his body, Alice would hop onto the ring apron…but not to get back inside of the ring. Alice would jump onto the top rope with her back to her rival, and as it stretched under her feet, jump off it, aiming her body for Kyo for a Springboard Moonsault to the outside!

Kyo was clenching his teeth as Alice moved towards him. He was still catching his breath as Alice's boot slammed into his ribs, causing him to gasp further in pain. As he toppled to the mat, he rolled, trying to muster the energy to get back to his feet. Alice's speed and skill were definitely hard to keep up with, and he had been on the back foot for much of this match. Unfortunately, Alice seemed to be preparing for another big attack as she climbed up to the ring again. He needed to counter attack her, and fast.

Just as Kyo was getting up to his feet, As Alice sprang off the ring, looking to nail him with a springboard moonsault! The moment Alice did so, though, Kyo would try to catch her upside down, before flipping forwards to slam her back-first against the ring floor! If he was too slow, however, then he would instead get slammed hard by Alice and go crashing down onto his back in a groaning heap, with the British girl now on top.

Alice was doing much better than she expected in the match, considering it’s been a while since her last match versus a guy…however, this likely wasn’t because Kyo was going easy on her or him being weak. Alice used her biggest strength, her speed, and it paid dividends so far in the match. She was on her way to victory…as long as she could keep her fast, occasionally rule bending attacks up!

After her flip, Alice would grab Kyo by his arm and back of his head, struggling to drag her rival back up to his feet. Even though Alice could try and take a count out, she wasn’t this dishonorable to do so. She wanted for Kyo to either give up or be down for the pin for her to win!

She struggled, but ultimately managed to roll her rival into the ring, before climbing onto the ring apron and onto the top rope. Measuring the distance to her rival, Alice would jump at Kyo, and flip backwards through the air, trying to nail her body onto him with a Shooting Star Press to continue her offense!
