It's Just A Rumour... [Post Apex Final - Sophia Wolfe & Katherine Hart]

Everything hurt. Brynhild had done a number on Sophia in a way she never could have compromised. The cheering of the crowd could still be heard after the Main Event of the Apex Final of the night. The show was long over, but the crowd were still pumped up as they left the arena. Sophia herself was in a mixed state. She felt horrendous, her back was in absolute agony, her abs were strained and tense and she found she could not relax her body. Her mind was reeling, her limbs felt sore and heavy from overexertion… yet amongst all the pains and ailments she felt a gratification that she was able to best Brynhild when it seemed all hope was lost. Victory tonight meant that she belonged in the LAW amongst the best of the best.

Sat upon a bench in the locker room, Sophia was still clad in nothing more than her strapless sports bra and her Gi pants, having been stripped down to this small amount of attire by Brynhild. Her clothing was sodden and wet, having just virtually collapsed into the shower without unchanging before the LAW medic had arrived. Her midriff was tensed up, showing off her to die for stomach. Her skin was glistening from the cold shower water. She winced as she sat, the brunette Medic before her finishing placing a small white plaster over the stitches of her scar below the eye. It covered the stitches up, but nothing could mask the exhausted and pained look upon Sophia’s face as she sat there being treated. Luckily the blood had been washed away from her face and body.

“There it is. Stitches went in fine. It should heal to what it was. With that done… do you want the good news or the bad news.” The Medic spoke out, pulling out a wet cloth to dap around the plaster and a few remnants of blood down the side of Sophia’s jaw where she had bled from her mouth. Sophia braced herself for the worst. She felt bad and any time she moved, her back and her core hurt with sharp intensity. She was overstrained and her body overworked, and she knew nothing good would come of being crushed so hard that she literally spat up blood.
”What is the bad news.” Sophia whispered, her tone wearing the same level of exhaustion as her half closed eyes.

“Hmm, we’ll start off with the important stuff. Brynhild has done some damage to your body, both outside and in. She crushed your body so much that it caused some internal damage by the looks of it, but examining you, it’s not life threatening. Your back muscles are over strained from the pressure, and you’ve got bruising barely visible below the flesh. Movements are going to be really painful for a little while. Your spine is also strained… you’re going to need massage treatment… and I know you don’t want to hear this but you’ll probably need a good hug to crick a few of the vertebrae back into place. Your scar will need time to properly close and heal itself… I’m going to be here all day listing your ailments. Listen, Brynhild did a number on you… several numbers and it means you’re going to have to take some time out.” The medic described, dapping the wet cloth over various parts of Sophia’s alluring face.

“Then is there any good news?” Sophia could not help but giggle with a defeated yet adorable little smile.
“Good news? Well… you defeated Brynhild! Yaay!” The Medic sang out in a playful manner with a mini mock celebration. It did make Sophia smile a little more as she turned away.
“How long….” Sophia would then ask, expecting the worst. By the list of the medic it sounded like she could be out for months.
“1 week of total rest. No exercises or training, and as minimalized movements and activities as possible. After that, you can do light exercise for a week, non-impact like swimming or yoga. After that, 2 weeks of taking it easy… It could even be one if you stick to the plan. So that’s the real good news. Nothing you have is all too serious, it’s just a lot of moderate ailments all piled up. Play your cards right, you could be back wrestling in three weeks.” The Medic explained.

The relief on Sophia was evident. She sucked on her bottom lip and her shoulders slowly sunk, glad to hear that nothing she had would keep her out of the game for too long. Being up for the Open Weight Championship was still very much on the cards now that she knew there was no extended recovery time beyond a few weeks off.
“Thank you. I think… I think I would like to go home now.” Sophia whispered in a fatigued manner.
”I’m nearly done here. I’ll get you a taxi and take you to it.” The Medic spoke, making a few final check overs on Sophia’s form.
”I don’t mean to pry but… I have to ask, it’s been whispered on the winds and I couldn’t help but notice you looked towards Super Kitty during the match when she was in the crowd.” The Medic began. Sophia gave pause, doing well to keep her expression as stoic as she could, sensing a potential pry into her personal life.

“Are the rumours true? Are you and Katherine Hart… you know… like… going out or something?” The Medic would ask with a cheeky smile, finishing wiping down Sophia’s face to clear what little blood stains remained around the plasters over her scarred eye and from her mouth. Sophia managed a small chuckle despite how much it hurt her chest and stomach to do so, before softly shaking her head. She chose to let the matter slide over her like water over a ducks back rather than allow her nerves to reveal anything. The truth of it was that… she did not know herself. The two had kept their relationship, such as it was a big secret. Sophia was afraid of it, having been devastated so hard in the past, but she knew she had feelings for Katherine. The woman was truly wonderful and beautiful. She just felt Katherine did not feel the same, that despite all her help and the passionate moments they had shared together, that perhaps it was just a fling, something Katherine was getting out of training Sophia.

Despite her thoughts going to Katherine, Sophia gave nothing away with her expression.
“We toured as a tag team to represent LAW and partnerships with other federations some months back as a means of advertisement and further investment. We have barely seen each other since. What you have heard are just tabloid rumours from wrestling magazines and web articles. Am I in a relationship with Katherine Hart?… No, it is simply not true.” Sophia would explain as formally and kindly as she could.

It was as Sophia was explaining this however that a commotion could be heard in the distance, and it fast approached the locker room. Just as Sophia finished her statement for the medic, that she heard the door suddenly open to the locker room… When Sophia turned towards the door in unison with the medic, her eyes slightly widened, before she felt her heart suddenly catch within her own chest.

Watching Sophia vs Brynhild start to finish from the crowd, without ever running down to the ringside area to root for or support Sophia the entire match was perhaps one of the single hardest feats of restraint and professionalism she'd exhibited in her entire career. The match was a warzone. Both women had put each other through the wringer. Both were left in tatters. Seeing anyone put through such an ordeal would be enough to draw concern. Although you could feel the hype and the satisfaction in the arena from the fans having been sent home happy, you could feel the concern from the relevant staff and medics as the professionals tended to Sophia. Dedicated fans would have to catch it later on via social media. The cameras were rolling as the doctor gave Sophia their prognosis. The two broached a subject that has been getting more and more buzz in the rumor mill. Anyone who knew the first thing about Sophia could anticipate that she'd either completely sidestep the subject or shut down any rumors.

Backstage, Kat had been looking here, there, and everywhere for where they might have been treating Sophia. The moment the match ended, she raced to the med bay backstage but didn't find her lover there. Since then, she had been making a commotion backstage looking for Wolfe. Monitors in certain halls and rooms clued her in on Sophia's conversation with the doctor. Having worked many a match in this very same arena clued her in to where the conversation was taking place! When Kat thought back on it, it only made sense that they'd already be in the locker room. Sophia took a beating. Brynhild did, too. But if anyone was tough enough to not need a stretcher and a trip to the local hospital after that warzone of a match, it was definitely the German beauty!

"Huff....huff...!" The famed luchadora panted heavily as she raced to the locker room area! The cameras and press that tried to follow her simply couldn't keep pace with Kat! She was there nearly a full minute before her! There were even more sounds of commotion in the distance by the time she made it to the locker room and pushed open the door.

Right away, Kat locked eyes with Sophia. Her bright blue eyes were filled with worry. But she had heard the treatment the doctor advised. She knew that there were no grave injuries. The news brought her comfort, surely. But nothing eased her worries like seeing Sophia right there in front of her! In mere seconds, a relieved, genuine smile formed on Hart's face. Her eyes teared with happiness. She slowly walked over to Sophia. The doctor was puzzled beyond words. The medic knew it was probably most tactful to say nothing at all in the presence of what seemed to be a somewhat tense but very powerful moment between these two!

The press following Kat would catch up just in time to get eyes on Kat as she closed in on Sophia, who was still sitting on the bench. Normally, Katherine was very chatty. Many regarded her to be the face of the company. She represented LAW in commercials, advertisements, major events, charity functions, and so on. In contrast to Sophia, Kat was always an expressive woman of many words. And yet here, she had none. She simply walked over to Sophia, who was still sitting on the bench, and bent down to hug the victorious blonde.

Normally, such a gesture was probably not good for someone who was afflicted with the injuries. But somehow, some way, the crack that Kat accidentally drew from Sophia's back was a good one, as the medic would surmise from Sophia's reaction.

"You were amazing out there, babe." Kat would whisper just softly enough for the words to be audible. The two had "trained" together in secret behind closed doors. They had many meetings together in secret as they explored their relationship and each other. That was what had led to the rumors in the first place. But they had also trained for this match and others like it in particular. Matches where Sophia might have fallen victim to more sensual wrestlers and their seductive ways were now a thing of the past with Katherine's help!

Kat would slip a hand down Sophia's back and use her other hand to hook Sophia's legs and pick her up bridal style. Kat knew that such a gesture would likely fill Sophia with heaps of embarrassment after the fact. But with her lover all banged up and with the sheer joy and relief of knowing that she'd be okay with several weeks of rest and taking it easy, Kat could hardly contain herself! Her boundless happiness was written all over the wide smile on her face and her teary eyes!

Even before Sophia met Katherine Hart, she was aware that the wrestler was larger than life. Everything Super Kitty did was with impact, presence and flair. Even now, after just attempting to deny that there was anything going on between herself and the Super Kitty, it was simply Katherine Hart’s nature to make an appearance out of nowhere to rock the boat. The locker room doors swung open with force, as Katherine entered in all her manifestation, her beautiful features concealed by her famous mask with the presence of the LAW media in tow taking photos and trying to ask questions. She walked with authority and purpose, her eyes fixated on Sophia who remained seated on the bench.

Sophia’s good eye was wide, watching as Katherine Hart approached her in haste and without hesitation. Sophia could not fashion any words, she did not know how to react as the commotion began to increase, making her grip the bench in apprehension. All at once she regretted what she has said, making the statement to the Medic simply to try and keep whatever it was she and Kat had a secret. She wondered if Kat had heard, if she had taken it as a terrible slight!

One moment Katherine was walking towards her, the next she was leaning deep into her, her powerful arms wrapping her in a bearhug. It hurt to say the least as Kat was so strong and Sophia’s form was not in the best of conditions. Brynhild had tried to end the match with such a devastating move, and thus the German’s body could barely handle it. A few clicks sounded out from her spine, as Sophia felt the familiar feel of Katherine Hart’s alluring and powerful body up against her own. Despite her back and ribs complaining, this was not a bearhug that was like Brynhild’s nature… but much more deeper and loving.

Despite it hurting, Sophia found herself burying her face into Kat’s strong shoulder after a few seconds passed. She did not know how much she needed this right now until it happened, and in truth it was a feeling Sophia was not accustomed to… but one she suddenly desired. Her own arms gripped at Kat as best as she could manage whilst her arms were trapped and any movement caused discomfort. Still, she embraced Kat back, her eyes closing tight as she snuggled up against her lover. She knew what she said to the medic to try and cover it up… but now it simply did not matter. Nothing mattered right now except this moment. It felt so good, stirring up emotions within Sophia as her vision began to blur with forming tears in her eyes.

Sophia could not help but allow a small wholehearted laugh that was a joy to hear for Katherine when she whispered her congratulations. Sophia gripped at Katherine tighter, ignoring her own ailments as she could not help but kiss her lover upon the cheek.
“I… I could not have done it without you…” Sophia whispered back, speaking nothing but the truth. It was thanks to Kat she was able to endure those terrible lewd advances Brynhild used against her. It worked in their qualifier to make Sophia falter and become victim to her bearhug… but it did not work in the Final, and it was all thanks to Katherine helping her build up an adequate defence against such things. All that training had paid off, allowing Sophia to finally step above a limitation that held her back.

Sophia Wolfe prided herself on her image and her nature, always stoic and prepared, serious and cerebral. Everyone who knew Sophia Wolfe knew the kind of straight edge wrestler she was, who took LAW by storm and now was overcoming the greatest challenges the federation had to offer. She is Scar, she is dangerous.

Yet when Kat slowly hoisted her up against her chest, adjusting her grip to bridal carry Sophia against herself… Sophia did not give a damn about her own reputation nor how this looked. This was something she had never experienced. She wrapped her arms around Kat’s neck, resting her head against her shoulder. She cared not that she was clad in only a sports bra and gi pants, her midriff and feet left bare, with her gear still in a locker. She let Katherine take her out, enjoying this moment with her lover. Never had she been swept off her feet and taken away like this… never had she ever felt wanted enough for anyone to ever consider taking her away in such a manner. She simply closed her eyes, no longer caring if the cameras saw what was happening, caring not what the magazines and papers would say. This was all just in the moment, and it was a moment she shared with Kat. It was just amazing to feel loved, to have such attention from someone Sophia realised she cared so deeply about.

“Danke… Thank you so much… Mein Kätzchen..“ Sophia whispered in the most sincere tone, her words near breaking with a wave of emotion. Sophia did not care where Kat was taking her, only that she was taking her away from here, simply to be with her.
