It's Just A Rumour... [Post Apex Final - Sophia Wolfe & Katherine Hart]

Everything hurt. Brynhild had done a number on Sophia in a way she never could have compromised. The cheering of the crowd could still be heard after the Main Event of the Apex Final of the night. The show was long over, but the crowd were still pumped up as they left the arena. Sophia herself was in a mixed state. She felt horrendous, her back was in absolute agony, her abs were strained and tense and she found she could not relax her body. Her mind was reeling, her limbs felt sore and heavy from overexertion… yet amongst all the pains and ailments she felt a gratification that she was able to best Brynhild when it seemed all hope was lost. Victory tonight meant that she belonged in the LAW amongst the best of the best.
Sat upon a bench in the locker room, Sophia was still clad in nothing more than her strapless sports bra and her Gi pants, having been stripped down to this small amount of attire by Brynhild. Her clothing was sodden and wet, having just virtually collapsed into the shower without unchanging before the LAW medic had arrived. Her midriff was tensed up, showing off her to die for stomach. Her skin was glistening from the cold shower water. She winced as she sat, the brunette Medic before her finishing placing a small white plaster over the stitches of her scar below the eye. It covered the stitches up, but nothing could mask the exhausted and pained look upon Sophia’s face as she sat there being treated. Luckily the blood had been washed away from her face and body.
“There it is. Stitches went in fine. It should heal to what it was. With that done… do you want the good news or the bad news.” The Medic spoke out, pulling out a wet cloth to dap around the plaster and a few remnants of blood down the side of Sophia’s jaw where she had bled from her mouth. Sophia braced herself for the worst. She felt bad and any time she moved, her back and her core hurt with sharp intensity. She was overstrained and her body overworked, and she knew nothing good would come of being crushed so hard that she literally spat up blood.
”What is the bad news.” Sophia whispered, her tone wearing the same level of exhaustion as her half closed eyes.
“Hmm, we’ll start off with the important stuff. Brynhild has done some damage to your body, both outside and in. She crushed your body so much that it caused some internal damage by the looks of it, but examining you, it’s not life threatening. Your back muscles are over strained from the pressure, and you’ve got bruising barely visible below the flesh. Movements are going to be really painful for a little while. Your spine is also strained… you’re going to need massage treatment… and I know you don’t want to hear this but you’ll probably need a good hug to crick a few of the vertebrae back into place. Your scar will need time to properly close and heal itself… I’m going to be here all day listing your ailments. Listen, Brynhild did a number on you… several numbers and it means you’re going to have to take some time out.” The medic described, dapping the wet cloth over various parts of Sophia’s alluring face.
“Then is there any good news?” Sophia could not help but giggle with a defeated yet adorable little smile.
“Good news? Well… you defeated Brynhild! Yaay!” The Medic sang out in a playful manner with a mini mock celebration. It did make Sophia smile a little more as she turned away.
“How long….” Sophia would then ask, expecting the worst. By the list of the medic it sounded like she could be out for months.
“1 week of total rest. No exercises or training, and as minimalized movements and activities as possible. After that, you can do light exercise for a week, non-impact like swimming or yoga. After that, 2 weeks of taking it easy… It could even be one if you stick to the plan. So that’s the real good news. Nothing you have is all too serious, it’s just a lot of moderate ailments all piled up. Play your cards right, you could be back wrestling in three weeks.” The Medic explained.
The relief on Sophia was evident. She sucked on her bottom lip and her shoulders slowly sunk, glad to hear that nothing she had would keep her out of the game for too long. Being up for the Open Weight Championship was still very much on the cards now that she knew there was no extended recovery time beyond a few weeks off.
“Thank you. I think… I think I would like to go home now.” Sophia whispered in a fatigued manner.
”I’m nearly done here. I’ll get you a taxi and take you to it.” The Medic spoke, making a few final check overs on Sophia’s form.
”I don’t mean to pry but… I have to ask, it’s been whispered on the winds and I couldn’t help but notice you looked towards Super Kitty during the match when she was in the crowd.” The Medic began. Sophia gave pause, doing well to keep her expression as stoic as she could, sensing a potential pry into her personal life.
“Are the rumours true? Are you and Katherine Hart… you know… like… going out or something?” The Medic would ask with a cheeky smile, finishing wiping down Sophia’s face to clear what little blood stains remained around the plasters over her scarred eye and from her mouth. Sophia managed a small chuckle despite how much it hurt her chest and stomach to do so, before softly shaking her head. She chose to let the matter slide over her like water over a ducks back rather than allow her nerves to reveal anything. The truth of it was that… she did not know herself. The two had kept their relationship, such as it was a big secret. Sophia was afraid of it, having been devastated so hard in the past, but she knew she had feelings for Katherine. The woman was truly wonderful and beautiful. She just felt Katherine did not feel the same, that despite all her help and the passionate moments they had shared together, that perhaps it was just a fling, something Katherine was getting out of training Sophia.
Despite her thoughts going to Katherine, Sophia gave nothing away with her expression.
“We toured as a tag team to represent LAW and partnerships with other federations some months back as a means of advertisement and further investment. We have barely seen each other since. What you have heard are just tabloid rumours from wrestling magazines and web articles. Am I in a relationship with Katherine Hart?… No, it is simply not true.” Sophia would explain as formally and kindly as she could.
It was as Sophia was explaining this however that a commotion could be heard in the distance, and it fast approached the locker room. Just as Sophia finished her statement for the medic, that she heard the door suddenly open to the locker room… When Sophia turned towards the door in unison with the medic, her eyes slightly widened, before she felt her heart suddenly catch within her own chest.
