Deku groaned softly while brushing some disheveled hair out of his face. He was tired and sore basically all over following a surprisingly back and forth match between himself and aspiring idol Kotone-chan. They had both done their absolute best in the match, each using their perosnal dreams and motivations to inspire them forward, but in the end Kotone had wanted it more and managed to pin the male down for the three count.

Despite the tough loss weighing down on him he put on his best smile. Or tried too at least. He wasn’t too torn up about the fact Kotone had been the one to defeat him, she was surprisingly kind to him despite what he heard. On top of that she had similar aspirations to himself so he knew at least the win would help her. Thiugh it could have a nice boon to him as well...

‘No! It was a good match she deserved the win!’ He thought to himself as he made it to carering. Smelling the delicious aroma of various morsels and snacks his stomach growled loudly, demanding sustinance after the intense bout. Shrugging he decided to fill the voice of the loss with food. Grabbing a olate he piled it high with various foods and grabbed a can of orange soda before taking a seat at one of the tables offered for werestlers that wanted to eat. Though at the moment it was just him, to which he was somewhat grateful for as he appreciated the quiet while beginning to eat.

To be cheerful would be an understatement for Kotone Izumi's current mood. Her first victory in LAW. The first time that she killed it in there, and the fact that it was actually well earned left her with so much satisfaction that she might as well be skipping around town like a blue riding hood. She was hungry, however, so she decided to grab a well-deserved bite!

The place she entered gave her a nostalgic feel, she hoped to eat something quickly and go back home to her parents. They didn't liked it when she stayed away for the night.That would be the plan, however, things wouldn't go that way. "Isn't he?..." The lonely silhouette of a green haired boy would immediately keep her from doing anything else before confirming that he was the person she just fought.

"Deku-kun?" Kotone asked the boy, immediately recognizing him by that messy hair do. "That's quite the coincidence, right? Small world and all" She might be lots of things, but a skillful conversationalist wasn't one of those things. She realy wasn't a people person.

But even if she wasn't very gifted in relationships, she still managed to have the common sense to know that he probably wasn't in the mood, specially for the girl who cost him defeat. But she really wanted to talk to him, so she risked it and went with it. "Uhm... Is... Is this seat taken?" She asked to the boy, referring to the spot in front of him in the same table.

Deku was mucnhing on his food, mulling over his defeat tonight. It wasn’t anything new for him, after all his loss record so far was greater than his win count. No he was just mulling over moments where he could have done something different or smarter or better. Trying to learn for next time. Although admittedly thoughts of his opponet tonight were also rather persistent in his brain.

It didn’t help that as he looked up he saw said person his thoughts were about right in front of him asking him to sit. Blushing immediately his lack of experience with girls immediately kicked in as he looked flustered just from her presence.... the fact she was in a bikini still didn’t help.

None the less though he’d do his best to reply! ”K-K-Kotone-Chan! Y-Yeah haha funny seeing you here though I g-guess it makes s-sense. Ya know needing to r-regain energy after a match and all that haha.” He said awkwardly, his statement coming out way faster than he meant it too, and filled to the brim with nervous laughter and stuttering. But he tried. Hopefully Kotone wouldn’t think much of it.

Sheesh, if Kotone thought that she was a wreck when socializing, then poor Deku was way worst. She thought that maybe he was such a handful of nerves because of the wrestling match, but was this just his regular self? She actually forgot for a minute that she was still dressed rather provocative, but that couldn't have been just it. He was fine with it before when they were going at it. Perhaps he just wasn't a people person?

She had to say something soon, because for a good couple of seconds Kotone wasn't doing nothing except to awkwardly stare at the boy with interest. Perhaps they weren't so different, just weird on different aspects. "Wha? h- J-Just call me Kotone. No need to be so formal outside of the ring. Mind if I call you Deku? I get the nickname, but maybe it's a bit mean to call you by that even outside of the ring..." She said, trying to change the conversation so that he won't think that she was rude or something. And she was genuinely curious, after all, Deku meant something akin to "meek" or "determined". Quite nice for a underdog. But she really wanted to know if he was fine with that moniker.

Deku was slowly and nervously staring at Kotone, not intentionally mind you, rather just in a nervous anticipation. He bad no idew if she was different outside the ring or not, and the silence wasn’t doing anything to reassure him. Thankfully within moments she responsed back fairly casually. Sighing in relief he looked a bit more relaxed with Kotone confirming she was more or less the same as before, although it was still a bit hard to keep his gase to her fade. But he’d do his best.

Hearing her question though he blinked before chuckling and scratching the back of his head. ”Well... it did start as an insult. But someone close to me showed me another way to look at it that i actually kinda like.” He admitted with a chuckle before continuing. ”So I don’t mind if you call me that, but if you don’t feel comfortable with it you can call me Izuku or Midoriya.” He admitted with a chuckle, being able to talk about that helping him get a bit more comfortable. “Thanks for asking though Kotone. I appreciate it.” He said with a genuine smile up to the girl.

Oddly enough, Kotone wouldn't call herself a people person. It was just that she didn't found comfort in other people, and she surely wasn't there with Deku himself. But she did admired something about him alright, he was quite honest in lot's of aspects. He wasn't a good liar, for she knew whenever his gaze wandered to her, and he also didn't seemed to mind being called by his moniker, even if it sounded that his story with it was more complicated than he told. "No problem, I guess I'll stick with Deku then"

She liked honest people. Why? It was just that she found out that people lied. A lot. To herself, to themselves, and to find someone whose second nature isn't instantly like that was... well... nice? She didn't knew what to think really, friendship wasn't first or second priority in her book, And yet, she didn't found the green boy to be obnoxious or unpleasant to spend time with.

Question was: Did he felt th same about her? Geez, this was also one of the first times that she cared for someone's opinion about herself as a person, besides her family of course. "Soooooo... Come here often?" She asked to him. Brilliant question, dummy She thought to herself instantly, deciding to ask something less vague from the get go. "Uhm, I mean. Why did you came here to LAW? You don't strike me like the rest of the wrestlers in here" Finally, a good question and a nice way to break the ice. That is, if he wasn't taken off by the sudden question of course.

Deku chuckled softly besides his current position of feeling awkward, though not neccessarily because of Kotone. If anything her presence was rather calming to him. There was something about her that he respected quite a bit, her seemingly natural confidence and drive was dazzling to him. She carried herself with such a natural stride and purpose that in a way he envied and wished he could emulate himself. It was a trait his rival, bully, and friend, Bakugo had that he respected, and Kotone gave the same vibes and energy that exuded from her.

But as she spoke he immediately refocused on her to not be rude. After all there was a sorta natural shine about her that drew his attention in, it was like that in their match but now that the adrenaline and sounds of the arena weren’t distracting him, it was much more apparent to him now. But she ended up asking him about why he was here making him chuckle while scratching the back of his head.

It was a good question to ask anyone who was on the LAW roster, and you’d likely get a myriad of answers depending on who’d you ask. As for him though? Well he just hoped Kotone wouldn’t laugh. ”Well um you see, I guess my reasoning isn’t really the most original..” He admitted while pushing his hair out of his eyes.

”You see my mom was actually a wrestler as well. She was kind of my idol growing up so i wanted to be like her. Naturally training and minor leagues led me here...” He said with a chuckle hoping she found his origin story suitable, for whatever reason he found a need to... impress her? Or at least make her consider him seriously cause for whatever reason he wanted her to see him in a good light. “So uh how about you?” He asked her curiously admittedly also curious about why she was here.

Something unexpected happened, Deku revealed that not only has he been wrestling for quite some time, but that apparently it was in his blood. His mother was a wrestler as well! And he expected her to laugh? Hell, his backstory was so much better than hers already! She was just a fish chasing for her dream in a pond way too big for her. Or at least, that's the first comparison that she was able to make after listening to him.

It really was funny. She might seem confident, elegant, and whatnot. But reality? Reality wasn't like that for Kotone. She just was... good at putting the mask of a wrestler, or an idol. She might be confident' sure, but as any confident person can tell you: It's mostly mental. And over here, the green boy was practically some Spokon protagonist, shy and meek, yet with a bright future!

The bluenette wasn't envious or anything, but, her so called confidence suffered quite a punch, and it was shown in the shape of shocked expression in her face. "Oh? Your mom? Who was she? If you don't mind me asking, of course." He managed to catch her attention alright. To listen about a family that would support you on your dream, and inspire it for starters was surreal for her...

For a second Deku bluehed and wondered if he either over played his feelings or came across as dorky to Kotone, the latter thought especially filling him with dread for whatever reason. All this was a result of the shocked expression on kotone’s face leaving Deku in wonderment about what she thought. Thankfully Kotone soon broke the silence and asked a simple question. Who his mother was which brought a faint, fond smile to his face. ”Haha.. my mom’s name is Inko. Inko Midoroya. She wrestled for a couple years before having me. I don’t know if you would have seen any of her stuff since she mostly sticked to local leagues and only had a year in a major league. But she was really incredible in all her matches and it really inspired me ya know?” he explained with a fond look, idly noting in the back of his head how Kotone had ducked his question about why she was here.

Some people might not believe that having a parent being mildly popular at something is that big of a deal. Deku himself seemed to be subtle about it, but Kotone was thrilled to know the child of someone like that. "I bet that she inspires you. That sounds awesome!" She appeared to be quite excited at said prospect, if her reaction wasn't telling enough. "I believe that I saw your mom once! I didn't dpo the connection before, but you do look a lot like her, specially the green hair"

She might have not ignored his question on purpose, but maybe Kotone just wasn't that into her background. She wasn't in there for some big purpose in life, she was there just because she wanted to be. Her family for sure wasn't that inspiring for her. "Must be nice to have been training for that since you were a kid. Those that mean that you know lots of wrestlers?" She had so many questions for Deku, hoping that she didn't overwhelmed him with them.
