An Unwanted Encounter

It was been two weeks since Gohan's debut match at LAW. Though the overall experience was great, he can't help but feel disappointed at the outcome. The moment where his vision faded to black keeps replaying in his head. One moment, adrenaline was coursing through his body, kicks and punches connecting the way he planned. Then, the next, his body is flying across the ring and subsequently goes limp from the impact. Then, once Arturo locked in the hold, it was all over.

His opponent's muscular arms wrapped around his neck and no matter how much he tried to pull on Arturo's bulging bicep, it just didn't budge. His visioned darkened, his breathing slowed, and the last thing he saw or felt before the lights went out was the referee lifting his arm, letting it go, and his arm hitting the canvas. He remembers wanting to hold on, but he couldn't muster the power to do so.

Then, the next thing he knew, the referee was shaking him to wake up. He remembered rolling out of the ring and staggering out of the arena, still with fuzzy vision and wobbly legs. He did have glimpses of Arturo lifting his head, but they were all blurred. He couldn't really recall what happened there.

Well... not until he saw a recording of the episode. Gohan can't believe the humiliation Arturo put him through after the match. Even now, just mere minutes away from his next match, Gohan waits in the locker room watching the aftermath of his debut match on his phone. A whole slew of emotion courses through Gohan as he rewatch Arturo displaying his defeated body.

"Damn, that guy. I swear... next time... it'll be the other way around." Gohan muttered to himself.

Arturo was ecstatic. He had won his debut match against Gohan in a decisive fashion. He normally swaggered wherever he walked, but he was in an especially good mood today. Arturo walked into the locker room shirtless and sweating post-workout. He wasn’t on the show tonight, but he was keeping himself in shape and watching from the back. Lo and behold, Arturo went into the locker room and saw his opponent Gohan. Not one to resist an opportunity to rub it in. Arturo lit up. “Hola, Gohan! I hear you have a match tonight. I hope you got enough sleep for it,” he smirked.

Gohan's blood is already beginning to boil watching Arturo display his defeated body for the camera on the episode replay and to make matters worse, Arturo struts into the locker room as if he owned the place. Arturo's chiseled body glistened with sweat, his muscles bulging, and his arrogant smile lit up the room. Gohan couldn't help feel both aroused and irritated at the sight of Arturo's smirk. Though, still ashamed of his loss, Gohan quickly turned off his phone hoping Arturo didn't see what he was watching. Arturo decided to push things further and Gohan's irritation rose. He clenched his fist, but he kept them by his side. Instead, he approached Arturo scowling and pushed his forhead against the Spaniard's with some force.

"I'd think about quitting while you're ahead. You're not as funny as you think." Gohan said with strained irritation.

Arturo immediately felt the change in energy and responded accordingly. He pressed his forehead against Gohan’s right back, staring him down. They jockeyed for dominance like two rams locking horns. ”Que coño?! Someone doesn’t have a sense of humor. You’re right about one thing, cabrón, I am ahead. I’m ahead in wins, especially against you. Do I need to remind you how badly I beat you last time we fought?”

Gohan's eyes widened. He didn't need any reminders since it never left his mind. Gohan's facial expression quickly shifted to a scowl to remove any looks of doubts on his face. Gohan then pushed back his forehead, refusing to let Arturo assert his dominance.

"I wouldn't get too confident. I had you. You were the one taking a beating before you got lucky and trust me, you won't be so lucky next time."

”Keep telling yourself that. I outwitted you. I outwrestled you. And I outlasted you. You were as readable as every bull I fought in a different ring. Now why don’t you focus on your upcoming match? I hear your opponent es un novato. Should be a suitable challenge for you.” Arturo walked past Gohan by practically going through him, attempting to shove him aside with a shoulder check.

Arturo shoulder checks Gohan and walks past him, but Gohan refused to let Arturo have the final word. With a scowl on Gohan's face, he quickly turned around and gripped Arturo's wrist to turn him around with force.

"It doesn't matter if he's a rookie or a veteran. I'll make sure to make quick work of him."

Without breaking eye contact, Gohan points and presses his pointer finger on Arturo's sturdy and sweaty chest. "Then, you better watch out because I'm coming after you next."

Satisfied to have delivered his message, Gohan turns around and begins to proceed towards the entrance ramp.

Arturo took it in stride and laughed. ”I can’t wait. Una victoria fácil.” He then watched Gohan walk away with a smirk. The Spaniard decided to delay his shower to watch Gohan’s match.

Oliver Cole made his way to the ring during the commercial break. He was not contracted to LAW but was being given a chance to shine against one of their talent. He resolved to show them that he was more than a pro wrestling interviewer and more than an enhancement talent. He was an actual wrestler. This was the largest audience he’d ever had. He wouldn’t let them down. Oliver waited in the ring for his opponent to enter.

As Gohan waits backstage for one of the crew members to give him the go ahead to start heading into the ring, the young Saiyan continues to replay his defeat at the hands of Arturo in his head, as well as their recent interaction not too long ago. Gohan's seething with anger and determination. He is determined to prove himself, not only to Arturo, but also to everyone else. His goal is simple: walk in there, overcome whoever is standing opposite from him in the ring, and send a message to Arturo.

A crew member nods at Gohan and his entrance music begins playing.

Gohan walks through the curtain that separates the backstage area and the entrance ramp. Usually, Gohan would take his time and play to the crowd, revel in their reactions and all that, but tonight, Gohan's purple gi whizzed through the entrance ramp, through the bottom ropes and into the ring.

With a visible scowl, he gives his opponent a quick bow before commanding the referee to ring the bell. As Gohan waited for the official to do as he says, he lightly jumps up and down and shakes his arms and head to try to loosen up.

The second the bell rings, without hesitation, Gohan charges at his opponent with an outstretched arm, ready to take him down with a clothesline.

Oliver Cole was excited for his first match. And he heard that Gohan was sportsmanlike and kind. Unfortunately, he caught him on a bad day. Oliver began extending his hand for a handshake. But before he could even say the words ”Have a good match,” Oliver was on the floor. Gohan slammed into him with a thunderous clothesline and Oliver had the wind thoroughly knocked out of him.
