Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
Marissa had egg on her face and then some, having walked angrily into a brawl she couldn't even come out on top of. Turning her head, she'd tut in response to that compliment, looking everywhere but the face of Kameko as she tried to rather gently nudge her off.
She knew they were bound to talk now, but it didn't make her any less stubborn.

And Kameko moved off her pin as she sat next to the girl, she knew that she had to get her to talk now it was just a matter of when the Brit would be willing to speak more than anything else.
But Kameko was a patient girl on occasion, so she would simply wait to see what Marissa would say if anything first.

Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
If Kameko thought Marissa was going to mellow out that easily however, she would be disappointed. Stubborn and then some, a loss in a spar on top of her anger over a poor match record went hand in hand. Though admittedly, she was a little more open to talking about it than prior, as she turned her head, as to face it just slightly away from Kameko, as she gave quite the stubborn-teen-esque tut.

"I can sit in this ring and wait all day. So don't think you can wait me out." Kameko replied with a grin as she saw Marissa turn to her but still avoid eye contact. Though Kameko noted that Marissa seemed slightly more open to talking she felt she needed to make the point as she glanced at the girl just so she knows she gonna wait if need be for a chat.

With that comment from Kameko, Marissa pounded the mat. Whilst the limits to her stubbornness were great, they were seemingly reached, as she soon reached a point where she was sat up with her back arching as she looked to the ceiling.
"What...What do you want from me?!" She'd mutter, eyes up high.

"I figure that was obvious by now. Something is bugging you to be in this mood, and I am too curious to not want to learn what." Kameko replied making her aim here seemingly cut and dry as she picked up on Marissa's bad mood and wanted to know more. Glancing at her with curiosity in her eyes and one thing was clear she was not gonna let the issue drop.
One way or another she was getting the truth.

"Eugh..." At last it seemed Marissa was ready to spill the beans as it were, given that she felt that if she were to rise and make for the exit now, Kameko may have outright flipped. The blonde seemed genuine in her attempts to help, and many would have caved in long before now. Kameko could only be a stubborn fool for so long.
"Do you ever go into something with the highest of hopes, only to be made a joke of time after time after time?" She'd begrudgingly mewl, building up to her point as her eyes went back to the ceiling.

Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
"Well only had a couple matches so far so a bit early in my LAW career to judge that as far as in the ring, but I know I was really frustrated over my ability to fish. My grandfather would take me constantly and no matter how hard I tried I could never get a bit reeled in. It was a crushing blow, but I never gave up and to this day I know that bite will come." Kameko said as she answered Marissa's question with a personal account of her own experience; her grandfather being a fisherman made her inability to grasp his passion extra daunting and a bit heartbreaking but she listened on to see what else Marissa would say.

"Heh...it'd be a bit different if you were fishing right infront of a big crowd, after bigging yourself up as the next big thing..." Marissa went on, trying to make the analogy more applicable to her current state, as her head finally rolled down to be level.
"I didn't think it'd be this difficult..."

"Yeah, the competition here is quite fierce. I can say that on account of fighting you here. If the other women are like that it will be a struggle without question." Kameko said in agreement with Marissa, but then she would add on another point.
"But if it were easy, it wouldn't be worth it to begin with. Maybe the story of your experience here didn't begin the way you wanted it to but that doesn't mean it isn't too late to change it." Kameko explained to Marissa trying to tell her that even early struggles did not mean it was the end for her here.
