Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...

Moving slowly but defensively, Marissa had little in response to that leg that came towards her, save for crossing her arms to stifle the agony. Though it didn't do much, less air came out of her lungs than Kameko was likely intending for, though in the end the result was the same.

The spiky haired Brit forced into a bend as she held her abs after the mostly-failed block, wheezing as Kameko happily closed the distance!

The stomp did its trick, even if it had been partially blocked, and while Marissa tried to catch air Kameko would try to go for a follow up strike. Her plan was to try and pick Marissa up and put her in a standing position while she held firmly her right hand with her own left; if this proved successful, she would try to tug and pull Marissa's body forward with the arm she had grabbed by the wrist and try to slam into her with her right hand to try and connect with a short arm clothesline.

This was gonna be a stiff spar, so Kameko would be sure to add punch to this strike if she could get it to land.

Marissa had little say in the matter as her equally sized foe opted to pull her, raising her other arm to seemingly try and take her head off its shoulders. The clothesline did its trick surely enough, and the angry Brit would be sent once more flat to her back, with arms wide. All the while, feeling a sense of regret wash over her, given how the encounter was going.

Kameko glanced down with a smirk as she seemed completely pleased with how things were going; which was to be expected, and perhaps this surge of momentum had been what motivated Kameko to step back and grant Marissa space.

"Come on, get up. Don't make this too easy." Kameko said as she seemed to cockily motion for Marissa to stand with her lone finger. While a show of her own self-confidence and a boastful gesture, there was another function behind this. Kameko didn't know Marissa much, but one thing she seemed to pick up on was this seemingly lack of confidence she had as something seemed to have shaken it, and given how helpless she appeared in the early going she seemed prone to lying down when things went south.

So, Kameko being a competitor all about pride, she hoped to light that competitive spark within Marissa. Even if it meant pissing her off.

If Kameko sought to piss the spiky Brit off, she easily did so with that little wag of her hand. Even more so with her tone, never mind the words that poured out of her confident mouth. Pushing onto her knees near enough instantly, Marissa stopped for less than a second to try and pat down the ache, before rising.

Rather than seek to sucker punch the blonde powerhouse before her, she'd approach almost slowly, hands at her side at first, before raising them up.

"That fucking does it.." Is all that would come out of her mouth, as her hands shot to Kameko's shoulders, almost expecting similar back, as she began to exert on her foe.

Kameko got what she wanted, a spark was lit that was quickly becoming a bit of an inferno...but even Kameko had not been ready by just how much fury Marissa would strike with as a simple shove managed to knock her back and caused her to stumble.

Kameko would attempt to dig her feet to the canvas to hold her ground, but Marissa clearly had her pressure and she felt herself lose a bit of ground from the force of Marissa's shoving.

Marissa despite her appearances didn't seek to simply shove Kameko back. No, the moment Kameko began to stumble, Marissa would make her intentions known, as instead of pushing she would suddenly yank at those shoulders to pull the struggling blonde forward. Ideally, into a jumping knee, as she committed her figure to the leap.

"AGH!"

A cry of pain escaped Kameko's lips, as she had been just a step too slow to respond to Marissa's charge and more concerning her knee strike as it landed a clean strike against her and knocked Kameko back a bit as she coughed out from the pain.

Kameko worked to clutch the impact spot and tried to quickly get a guard up...however possible that'd be within that moment of pain from the stiff shot.

Marissa was shocked somewhat that her foe had the balance and endurance to survive the strike and still stand, but she wasn't going to simply sit back and marvel at her foes prowess. Landing after that strike, she'd kick off her feet and this time duck low, hands wrapping around Kameko's legs and pulling, to try and take this blonde off her feet with a shoulder-tackle.

Kameko had no time to react and her price for managing to remain on her feet had been a lack of awareness within that key moment as Marissa made her charge as she ducked low and drove into her with a shoulder tackle. Sure enough, this was enough to knock Kameko flat on her back as she let out a grunt as Marissa had taken complete control with her forceful offense.
