Once Bitten Twice Shy

Raquel was hobbling through the halls backstage after doing her best to take on a heavyweight. Suffice to say her best was hardly anywhere near good enough. Raquel could barely walk, and wondered if Jitsuko even broke a sweat.

Clad in her ring attire, one arm across her abdomen and the other on the back of her head Raquel stumbled around a corner and sure enough found herself face to face with the woman who just beat her. No, the woman who just crushed her.

Great, just great....

It was only coincidence that brought Jitsuko and Raquel face-to-face again. The titaness still wasn't used to the layout of the backstage, and had taken a wrong turn trying to find the locker room. She tried to right her bad pathing and ended up nearly running over Raquel as the woman turned the corner.

Jitsuko stopped herself, and stepped back, taking a moment to look over Raquel before lifting her thick arms, folding them over her chest before speaking up.

"Are you alright? You're not too hurt, are you?"

Raquel looked up at Jitsuko not with a glare but a look of shame. She threw everything she had at the woman but didn't seem to make a dent in her while Jitsuko pounded her into nothing within moments or so she felt. The match tape for training tomorrow would reveal a lot for Raquel. Raquel looked off to the side then down at the floor avoiding eye contact as she answered.

"Nah, I am fine. I imagine you aren't any worse off after the match." Raquel said, making sure the big woman was all right in her own roundabout way.

Jitsuko chuckled softly, and offered Raquel a nod in return. "I'm fine. It takes a hell of a lot to hurt a big woman like me, you know?"

She could sense the smaller woman's pain though, knowing that she wasn't happy with herself, so after a moment's thought she reached forward, placing out of her massive hands down upon the brunette's shoulder. "Hey. You did good out there. As good as you could, at least. You handled yourself as well as you could in the situation." She offered a small smile to the woman and gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze. "Chin up, alright? There's no shame in losing, especially when the odds were so stacked against you."

Raquel let out a bit of a laugh, standing with her hands on her hips looking up at the large woman. "Heh, thanks I appreciate it. I just... I dunno. Everyone thinks light weights can't beat anyone else. Sure, middleweights can face heavyweights but why can't we? I just want to show everyone that anyone can win regardless of size and I sort of had that backfire in my face thats all. It stings ya know? People resigning you to automatic defeat just because I am small." Raquel said with a bit of a sigh.

She laughed a bit and looked up at Jitsuko. "Lifting you up wasn't easy though, and you do have great technique. I don't buy into the 'big slow woman are only good for power' stereotype and ya proved me right tonight."

Jitsuko smiled again, and there was a very, very faint of hint of a blush on her cheeks. "I've spent a long time training to break that stereotype. I won't pretend like I'm the fastest or the most technical woman in the ring, but...I've got a lot more to offer than just power."

She stepped back, and leaned against the wall of the hallway, folding her arms across her wide chest, still staring rather intently towards Raquel. "Keep at it, alright? I'm not going to say anything like 'you almost had me in there', but I will say you did a good job at taking control of me." She thought for a moment and then continued, a gentle egging on in her voice. "Next time we fight, I fully expect you to come even closer to beating me than you did tonight."

Raquel was silent, nodding st Jitsuko. Once Jitsuko was done Raquel cracked a small smile. "Yeah, I won't stop until I slay this giant." She said motioning to Jitsuko. "I guess I should let ya go celebrate and stuff huh?

Raquel gave her one last wave as she turned to quietly continue towards the locker room.

Jitsuko gave Raquel one more smile and a final wave of her own, and then pushed off the wall, turning in the opposite direction to head towards the heavyweight locker rooms. She had a few things to think about, but for now, she wanted to get a shower and get changed.
