Freya stepped into the building with her gym bag thrown over her shoulder, her silver pools already scanning the area with a sense of discomfort as her hands clung to her shoulder strap. She wished one of her “sisters” were able to come with her but they all had plans today. Emma had her exams to study for, Annaliese was off in Osaka for a seminar, and Lina was working hard at her office job unable to take the day off. Freya assured them she could do it on her own today but now that she was here, she could feel herself getting cold feet. Sure, they had recruited her but it was going to be rough trying to stay professional or even focused when it came to talks all about business. Anxiousness began to take hold but she swallowed that uneasiness and continued further in. Her gaze picking out the interior of the lobby as her thoughts wandered for a moment, thinking of the decor, staring off at posters pinned up and then the rather large crowd before her.
Her digits dig into the material of her strap as she pushes onward. She was here a bit early, Freya always felt that showing up early to not show up late was the best thing to do. Her “sisters” made an effort to get ready early for her but there were more often times than not that they would have to meet Freya there. In fact, the German had arrived a mere fourty-five minutes ahead of her scheduled meeting time. A fact the little Rose would take pride in, even as she dodged as she passed through the crowd, attempting to find staff. ”O-oh, pardon!…. Sorry!…. Ah, excuse me!….”Freya muttered as she slipped through, her body twisting and turning to avoid accidentally jumping into anyone as she approached an attendant with a LAW vest on. She breathed a side of relief as she approached.
”Hello.” She said. The attendant continued to usher the crowd, guiding them in as Freya stood there as if out of place. ”Uh..pardon me. Hello.” She chirped up, attempting to speak a bit louder to get his attention. The crowd suddenly seemed to get louder as she tried to make herself known. The attendant seemed to preoccupied to really notice her and she wasn’t sure if she should bother him but, if “Big Sis” Lina was here, she’d tell her to be assertive. With a nod of found conviction, she steps forward, lightly tapping the attendants shoulder on her third attempt. With a deep intake a breath, Freya was ready to be assertive. ”EXCUSE ME!?” She exclaimed, a little louder than she had intended as she had garnered a small groups attention, including the now annoyed attendant.
Her eyes began to dart about anxiously, unable to meet his gaze as she somewhat shrank. ”I-I’m sorry, I tried to..tried to get your attention.” She began, her silver pools darting up to take a look at his frowned expression while her gaze met the floor again. ”I-I’m Freya.. uh, oh Rosenhurst. Um Freya Rosenhurst, that’s me.. I was recruited? Yes, recruited by LAW and I’m lost, very lost. I’m looking, I’m looking…for.. I think it was…what was it again? Annaliese would know what’s it’s called…” The attendant was finding it hard to really understand what she asking. Reaching for his radio, her clicks the switch ”Hey Yamada-san, I need some assistance at Gate 7, side entrance lobby.” the radio went static before a sharp bell erupted, catching Freya off guard. ”Copy, on route now.”
”Wait, wait, I think it was.. Oreo..no, but I really want an Oreo, wait have you had one before? The cookie that’s popular in America. Two cookies and cream in the middle, that’s what I mean , but I think the birthday cake ones are the best….oh right! It was Orientation, I’m here for that, that’s it.” She recalled, snapping her fingers as it finally hit her, her conviction bouncing off the floor as her gaze never returned to the attendant. With Yamada having arrived and Freya seemingly had talked herself into quite the circle, she couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed, she wished one of her sisters were here. The two men looked at one another as the one she had been ranting, with the attendant shrugging his shoulders. Something about Oreo’s and orientation, that’s all I got.” He stated. Freya began to sweat bullets, what was she doing wrong that she wasn’t getting through to them.
The attendant named Yamada taps her in the shoulder to get her attention while Freya’s mind spiraled from the overstimulation. ”Ma’am, I’m pretty sure you’re looking for the receptionist desk, that’s by the main lobby entrance back towards that way.” He explains pointing in the direction behind her. Freya follows his finger, pointing in that direction in unison. ”Just keep heading toward to the right and you’ll be at the main entrance lobby. Reception will be happy to help, we’d escort you but it’s a busy day today with another show. I heard they had accidentally scheduled a show and first day talent were supposed to meet for their orientations. I’d see Takashi escort you but, we’re a bit occupied at the-.” ”No need-! I think I can find it…uh, thank you. For. Your time.” Freya stated slowly, as if rehearsing, in reality Freya had practiced many times to nail down a thankful appreciation for assurance.
The Rose turned and began to hurriedly put distance between her and the two attendants, this was definitely a little to overstimulating for her. Thankfully for some reason, she’d never experienced that in the ring. Working theory was that she was actually focused enough to tune it out until she was backstage, exhausted from the surge of noise and lights. She felt good about this though, maybe she could finally overcome those sensations with enough grit! Is what she was hoping for but as her gaze finally peeled from the floor, she was met with a wave of a crowd, swarming her from all sides. Her fingers fumble for her heads, something to drown out all this indistinct chatter, she loses focus; eyes shut; stepping away as she tries her best to avoid bumping into anyone before she finds a quiet recluse to ground her thoughts. Her back hits the structure behind her as she slumps, taking in a breath.
With her vision now clearing she looks about, now certain she was lost as the familiar decor and crowd had turned into a gray labyrinth of concrete and steel. ”Wha-but I was just…where am I supposed to go now?”She asked aloud, now completely lost in the bowels of LAW.
