Makie stood there dumbfounded as Mako unleashed her angry tirade. A part of her couldn't help but acknowledge a few things-- namely that yeah, maybe once upon a time she did genuinely have feelings for Mako. And, perhaps more importantly, a part of her still did, despite the fact that she often felt like their relationship just wasn't going to work out in the long term. And she had been reluctant to break Mako's heart by telling her that the first time around-- a fact that she was now sorely regretting.

"Mako, I..."

She paused, when she realized that in the middle of her argument with Mako, she had accidentally stepped out of line! She had been so close, soooo close to getting some nice udon kaarage for lunch and now....the line stretched every backwards now, and her stomach was rumbling quite uncomfortably.

"Fuuuuuuck!" she vented, no longer caring now about the scene she was causing. Turning back, red-faced, to Mako, she shoved at her shoulders. "I don't have to pretend to do a fucking thing, Mako! You're the one who suddenly came bursting into my life, right out of nowhere, right when I'm finally starting to do well with my career!"

At this point the shark was clueless on where this was all going. The whole situation seemed fucked to her, and she wasn't exactly the most reliable person under pressure. Hell, Mako wasn't even entirely sure what she'd been saying this whole time. It all kinda blurred together as she was yelling at her ex. Of course she could pick out the bits and pieces.

"...First off, SHRIMP..."

"...I'm here to collect your organs..."

"...I was happy to see you..."

"You’re a really cool fucking person Makie...fuuuuuuuck me!"

"...feel the same!?"

The fuck was she talking about organs for!? Honestly, Mako was ready for Makie to just punch her in the face or kick her in the pussy. She probably deserved one of if not both of those options. However, for a split second it seemed like the woman was feeling as guilty as the shark was. Did she somehow win this argument? Already? By shouting to fuck her and something about organ collecting?! Honestly, Mako didn't care how or if she'd won their argument. She'd be happy to just shake hands and apologize to the shortie. However...whatever hopes of reconciling with the woman died as they realized they'd stepped out of the food line. Obviously, Mako knew that was her fault too. And she was about to go get her that spot back if she had to take the fucking food truck driver hostage to do so.

But then Makie shoved her....followed by some more yelling as the shrimp acted like Mako was the biggest inconvenience in her life. Well...needless to say the shark didn't take that well at all. "FUCK YOUR LIFE!" she'd roar before flat out tackling her ex girlfriend to the ground. "Just cause you sucked when we were dating doesn't mean I'M THE REASON FOR IT! Fuck you and your fucking...FUCK!" Mako would shout at Makie as she pinned the woman down. Normally she'd start punching but the shark really didn't want to punch her ex in the face so she was just awkwardly staying on top of her.

Makie hadn't expected to be angry enough to start shoving Mako. Maybe it was her irritation at this whole situation. Maybe she was angry at herself for not having closed the book on her and Mako's relationship properly. Maybe she was angry that this whole scene was blowing up in public. Or maybe she was just really that pissed at having missed out on her lunch. But it happened before she even realized she was doing it.

And then, in response, Mako tackled her to the ground.

She grunted at the impact as the taller girl tackled her, pinning her to the ground. Around them, a crowd was now gathering, many cell phones being whipped out at this impromptu fight suddenly brewing. Makie huffed as her arms were pinned to the concrete, forced to listen as Mako screamed her retort at her.

Just because you sucked...

Biting back a growl of anger, Makie arched and twisted suddenly, trying to throw Mako off of her. "You STILL want to see how much I suck?" she snapped back. "Fucking FINE! How about you and me have another hardcore match, back in the ring? Then you can see for yourself if I'm still the FUCKING SHRIMP you used to fucking pity!"

Mako was a whirlwind of emotions right now as she and Makie were really letting each other have it. The shark didn't want to say half these things...and she meant even less of them. But Makie had her so fucking pissed off that she didn't have control of herself. Out of all the things she had said, claiming Makie ever sucked was without a doubt the worst. Mako didn't think that. She thought the woman was a fucking fun sized badass. Calling her shrimp and stuff was because she thought the woman was cute. She never in a million years would pity Makie fucking Akumetsu. But of course the shark couldn't say any of that...not when she was all riled up like she was right now.

"For fuck's sake! I get off the sex stuff and now you're on it!? No I don't want to see how much you suck Makie! For once...I'M NOT IN THE MOOD!" Mako would shout back at the woman before being shoved away. Oddly enough this was a big step for her...because usually heated arguments never kept her from having sex. And she'd done it at times when she was even more pissed than right now. Of course as Makie kept talking...the shark realized she'd completely misunderstood what she meant by sucking. Again, not paying attention to what she herself had been saying while being pissed off was screwing everything up for her.

"Oh...ooooh..." Mako began to say as she had herself a moment of realization. Looking around, this might've been the closest the shark had ever been to feeling genuinely embarrassed by her actions. That is to say...she felt pretty awkward about all this. "...I never said I pitied you..." Mako would mutter as she tried to avoid eye contact with her ex girlfriend. At this point, the shark only had one option available to her. Well no...two options. Either run away...or deal like emotion's like a big girl. The problem was she had no idea which was which...

"I'll see you in the ring, Makie..." Mako would say before turning her back on the woman and walking off. She really hoped this didn't count as running away, but things were only going to get worse if she tried talking this out with her ex. If anything...the only way they were going to settle their issues would be by beating the fuck out of each other in the ring. So, having accepted Makie's challenge, the shark would walk off feeling awful about herself and even worse about how she had left her ex to feel. But for better or worse...they'd settle things one way or another.

"I never said I pitied you."

The words hit Makie like a hammer blow. For a brief moment, her rage cooled. A small part of her brain began to wonder if she had been projecting her own insecurities onto Mako. Perhaps she had been the reason all along why their relationship had been falling apart. Or maybe it was just the way Mako was looking right now at her with such utter dejection and sadness. It hurt to see Mako looking at her like that, even if Makie did also feel angry and frustrated with her right now.

And then Mako was walking off, leaving Makie sitting and looking speechless in the lineup of the food lot. Her right eye twitched a little. She couldn't tell if it was anger, stress, or if she was holding back tears from their encounter.

Then, slowly, she stood up, dusted herself off, and, ignoring the onlookers, headed back to the locker room. She had a match to prepare for. It wasn't one she wanted, but it wasn't one she was about to lose, either...
