LAW Locker Room

The steel door creaks open, a gust of stale air being the first to greet the woman. A shy amber eye browses the array of lockers unoccupied, and then a tall woman in sneakers and a blue tracksuit step in. The door slammed behind her as she walked over to an already open locker. Jun let out a relaxed sigh before she sat down, setting her duffle bag next to her. Unzipping the bag, she hoped to organize her belongings quickly, not wanting to sit on the bench's harsh surface longer than she needed to. She pushes her kickpads aside to take out the essentials; a ziplock with her ring gear, another with her hygiene products, flyers, water bottles, and snacks. Her phone and some casside the side pocket gave the young woman reassurance for touring with L.A.W., something she hadn't found convenient since starting her wrestling journey.
After putting everything in its proper place, Junght the gaze of her own reflection before shutting the locker. She reminiscent while smiling at the mirror, but with a tinge of sadness. Only a few years ago, her back would ache from landing against bare planks or when her core would collapse onto itself after too many strikes. She'd struggle to push tires up hills for hours, or her legs were covered in bruises from countless submission drills. And she'd spent several nights sobbing to sleep in cheap capsule hotels, thinking her mentor would send her back home any day. But it all paid off after a match caught a road agent's attention. Now that she's made it to L.A.W., Jun has to give her all, at least 100%. Otherwise, what would be the point of her struggles?
Her training at the Ōtsuki gym had its positives, admiring the toned body she trained underneath the tracksuit. Shutting the locker tight, Jun wasted no motion beginning her stretches. Her feet apart, she bends down and sits on the ceramic floor. She allows her legs to extend into a split as she pushes forward, stopping when fully spread out. She hums a gentle tune while flexing her legs; this was like therapy. She was beginning to wonder where everybody else was, forgetting that she had arrived much earlier than most would be awake.
