Broken Sticks and Broken Hearts

Gil stared at Karen as she laid it on pretty thick, Silver seemed to not break her glare either, though hers seemed much more accusatory. Gil moved her glance between the two for a moment, before it was almost like a lightbulb went off in her head, looking back down into the bag.

"...So, what you're saying is..." Gil looked back up, a startled expression on her face as she exclaimed... "...It was a ghost?!" Gil quickly glanced over both shoulders! "...They didn't tell me this studio was haunted, feels like something the should have disclosed...!" Gil scurried closer to the pair of woman in her doorway, almost looking for protection from the phantom of L.A.W...!

Silver's glare never left Karen, though both women knew that Silver wouldn't outright confront Karen. Not only because it was her tag partner, but because of the person Silver was. Even if she knew near enough outright that something was afoot.

"What..." Karen leaned forward, her mouth a little agape as her jaw came lower. "NO.." She'd rebuff, straightening up as she took a step forward, to get Silver's gaze out of her view.

"Use your BRAIN, GIL..." Karen tapped her own head as if to patronise the smaller gal, as Silver's brow grew all the more furrowed. The bigger of the tag would briefly share a glance towards Gil herself, to see if she had finally caught on to what Karen was implying...

Gil had to pause for a moment, Karen was talking in riddles, she made it seem obvious but this was no easy case to crack! Karen acted as though she had laid all the pieces in Gil's lap, but they were still scrambled, there was no other hints to be found...!

And then finally, something clicked, Gil's eyes widened and her glance turned upward at the pair, her eyes fixated on Karen's as she began to speak... "...Wait, are you telling me..." Gil paused, looking back down at the stick. "...This whole time you've been trying to tell us..." Her glanced turned up again at Karen. "...That we should go out for ice cream! Good idea, Karen, all this thinking on an empty stomach is counter-productive, we need the fuel to get to the bottom of this one...!" Gil zipped the bag up and slung it over her shoulder, taking a few steps toward the door!

Karen couldn't believe it. Even Silver couldn't, partially. Though whilst Karen was putting this moment down to raw stupidity on Gil's end, Silver herself was hoping it was Gil's kindness that was winning out - that she actively couldn't fathom Karen would do something so sinister!

"GIL!" Karen would all at once snap, stepping to Gil with her hands outstretched to grab the smaller gals shoulders. Silver would never actively try and hurt Karen herself, but she was damn close to tackling her tag partner if purely from the fact that Karen looked as though she was about to attack Gil!

"IT...WAS...ME!" Karen said loudly and directly into Gil's face, near enough screaming it with volume. With Silver herself already coiled up given Gil's expected reaction, given there was surely no way she could play off Karen's abruptness!?

Just as Gil rose back up and took a few steps toward the door, the taller woman that was once blocking it stepped forward and grabbed her by the shoulder, her grip tight enough to make Gil wince slightly.

Her eyes flicked up to stare Karen right into her own, she was a little taken-aback by this abrupt change in tune, as Karen declared it was her who had cracked the stick clean in half... At-least, that is what Karen had intended to tell Gil...! "...All this time..." Gil seemed to stop and ponder, think the situation over a couple times to try and wrap her mind around it. "...All this time you were trying to tell me, that you have been my friend this whole time?!" Gil jumped with glee! "...I've been waiting for the day when you would finally admit it, now, let's go, a trio of good friends...!"

Gil's response shocked both members of Silver Starr for obvious reasons. Though, whilst Karen's was of pure shock, Silver's was of mild relief. She still couldn't tell whether Gil was simply playing Karen off whilst herself holding back a furious or despairing reaction. But given how loud and proud the smaller gals declaration was, it seemed Gil had still yet to take in what Karen was telling her!

Watching as Gil stepped past Karen, Silver would close the distance and shoot a horrid scowl at her partner! Before grabbing her bicep as to turn her - forcing Karen to now partake in finding some ice cream!

All the whilst, Karen's face was one of complete and utter confusion!
